Love this one. It's actually different and really fits the description of 'earth and heaven'. I don't get vetiver out of it really, I'd say it maintains VERY dry during the wearing. Amazing lasting power.

Wow, I hate to be the first one not to rave about this, but it just isn't my cup of tea. I can see why this is marketed toward men, but it would be very nice on a woman--the right woman. Soft and woodsy, a little serious but not somber; it’s quiet and cerebral on me. If you like Cinq Mondes eau Egyptienne, Diptyique Virgilio, and APPP then you’ll probably like this one as well. I like it, but I don’t love it.

Sitting in a Zen garden, closimg my eyes and listening to the whisper of the dry grass in a slow breeze bringing me the scent of sunbaked stones after a drench. The whole thing is liftet up by the freshness of grapefruit. An unexpected beauty! The composition reminds me a bit on Andreé Putmanns Preparation, without the floral aspekt. Special, but very wearable!

For once I seem to be able to smell the stated ingredients - orange, grapefruit, vetiver, benzoin etc. The bottle is supremely elegant down to the last detail - even a subtle rippled effect on the glass, under the title text, suggesting water reflections - (unless it's just a fault on my particular bottle). I seem to smell the lemony-jasmin effect of hedione, in combination with a blackcurrant-leaf (cassis) base. Another ingredient almost certainly present will be iso-E super, contributing to the velvety richness of this attractive perfume. The woody body will be familiar to devotees of Cartier's Declaration, and there is also possibly a kinship with some of the 'mineral'notes featured in Bulgari's Aqua for men. But running through everything is a strong, appealing orange-cointreau aroma. Finally I thought there was an oakmoss note detectable in the dryout, despite it not being mentioned on the official ingredients list.

(Jumping in to my first fragrance review. . .!)

I have two distinct impressions of this fragrance. The first is that it reminds me of ginger ale. By saying that, I don't mean that it smells like ginger ale - it doesn't - but it has the same sort of. . .personality. To explain: it's dry, like ginger ale, and it has this almost fizzy quality to it that reminds me of bubbles; a surface lightness that hovers on the surface of the dry notes beneath.

It also makes me think of being outside, smelling fresh green plants and soil, with possibly a faint watery scent thrown in -- the smells associated with a lake in the summer, a lake with tall grasses and a sandy shore.

Why this is marketed to men is beyond me. I'm a woman and love this fragrance. It lasts and lasts and hovers around me all day in its fizzy, effervescent way.

A pure plant and mineral scent as the fragrance is described. I found the description very accurate. It opens with a strong grapefruit note, then the spice and woods come out, but the grapefruite still lingers giving it that tangy effect to the overall feeling. It is a fairly dry fragrance that reminds me of sand, rocks and gardens. This one is marketed towards men, but it's not too musculine for women to wear. A unique creation that will be a hit in the summer. Jean Claude Ellena is simply brilliant!

LOVE AT FIRST SNIFF !!! Another masterpiece from JC Ellena !!! It is marketed as a masculine fragrance but I see myself very well wearing it, for me it is a perfect example of a unisex fragrance. Terre d'Hermès is a fruity/woodsy scent that will seduce, I am sure, all lovers of Eau des Merveilles and Un Jardin Sur le Nil. It starts off quite fruity/citrusy but then it settles into a wonderful spicy woodsy note. The lasting power is also remarkably good!

Just FYI, here are the notes:

Top notes : Grapefruit, Orange, Flint

Middle notes : Pepper, Pink Pepper, Geranium leaves, Patchouli

Base notes : Cedar, Vetiver, Benzoin
