So today is my first day wearing this product. Originally, I was matched as a NC25 in the Studio Fix Powder+, but when I went today, that color just looked way too dark and mask-like. The MUA matched me to NW10, which is a brand new color in Studio Fix Fluid. It's a flawless match, and with a little bronzer, could be darked to fit my summer color if I get any, lol. I could always dust the NC25 Powder+ over top as well.

Anyway, when the MUA first applied this, I was a little skeptical. It looked super patchy and ill-blended but as she swirled the stippling brush around, it looked more and more flawless and natural.

This is definitely a matte foundation, which I love. I still set it with a translucent powder though because I tend to get oily around my nose and chin, and also to add to the longevity of the foundation. I always use Rimmel's Stay Matte, because I honestly haven't found anything that's better than it.

If you're on the drier side, I would recommend exfoliating before using this foundation, but I could really see this product working for any skin type.

It has really lasted on me, and I added a bit of bronzer to contour it and it looks amazing. The first MAC foundation I ever tried was the Face & Body, which broke me out horribly. I'm really hoping this doesn't do that as well, but I'll add an update in a couple weeks.

Loved this foundation for years, then I switched to nars sheer glow, while I still think the foundation itself is good, not too cakey and good coverage, I've now realised how orange the colour was, I wore nw25

I battle with my skin most days so I like to stick with brands and products I can trust, Mac is certainly one of the brands I have faith in. I have used Studio Fix in NC15 for about 3 years now and its my 'go to' foundation. Even in the worse stages of my acne this foundation did not cause me problems the same goes for my redness. The foundation stays on all day and covers all my problem areas, its easy to apply and blens well on the skin. I have used this foundation for both every day use and for nights out/ occasions and it never fails to give me the 'flawless face' im after. Although i love this product if you have super dry skin like me you will need to moisturise and use a good primer before applying this foundation as it does have a tendancy to stick to dry areas.
Overall this foundation is brilliant! I do like to try other foundations just to see what other brands have to offer but I always return to this product its reliable and gives me great coverage, money well spent every time.

Mac studio fix is by far my favourite foundation. The coverage is brilliant and my skin is very close to flawless if not there! Although it may be a slightly more expensive foundation, I find it can last me up to 3 months due to a little doing a lot, therefore I don't have to keep repurchasing. I would recommend this to anyone. The smell also is so gorgeous and so addictive!

Love this, started using this February 2010 it broke me out for the first month of use (I packed it on & I wore it everyday as i was new to the makeup world) i stuck with it because i loved the coverage, it was the best match and wasn't patchy & pink like the drugstore brands I'd tried. If you try this & you love it but it brakes you out, stick with it things will get better lol
I wear this 3-4 times a week and it lasts 4-5 months so the price Is worth it I feel.

This is possibly my favourite foundation to use. I am an NC44 and this matches my skin perfectly and blends really well with a flawless finish. If you are looking for full coverage, like myself this is for you. The only downside to this foundation is that it finishes fast(at least for me).

I just started using MAC foundation quite recently and compared to my other foundations, this is by far my holy grail products!! I was quite surprised to find out it has low rating here in MUA? At least for me the products glides on super smoothly on my face, only need small amount of it, it covers up my acne scars so well and it stays on for the whole day no joke!! the formula is very smooth and with no weird smell whatsoever! it's just so perfect on my skin! best foundation so far =)

I wear this foundation with the matching powder every day - I have oily skin and I also am acne-prone. This is a flawless foundation. Flawless. It covers up every little imperfection perfectly.

I really love it. It doesn't break me out. My skin looks totally flawless. I wear it every day. I'm an NC45 and it matches perfectly. Afterwards I use Skinfinish Natural. I'm in love with it.

I wanted to try this for a while but there are no MAC counters where I live. When I was travelling through Dublin airport I stumbled across MAC there and got the mua to match my colour. I ended up with Studio Fix Fluid in NC15. The colour is perfect and I love the coverage. I don't often wear makeup to work, and on the occasions I've wore this to work people have randomly complimented my complexion and skintone. I always apply with a foundation brush. The only complaints I have is price, because it doesn't come supplied with a pump, you have to buy this separately (the salesperson at the mac counter didn't tell me this).

First time giving a review so here it goes. My skin is color nc25 in mac. Ive been using this foundation for years and love the coverage it offers. However because of my oily skin i have noticed that within a couple of hours not only am i shiny but I'm turning orange. At first i thought it was just the way i was applying it so tried different methods. Tried it with a 190 foundation brush, a 187 mac stripping brush, 168 mac angled brush, and a sigma f84 kabuki brush. Two pumps is all i use of this foundation and always always set with mineralize natural skinfinish. None of my methods work so sorry mac i love you but another foundation it is.

It provides full coverage and I must say it looks stunning on photos. It doesn't particularly keep my face matte but it stayed in place for the day.

On the other hand I find it too heavy and too makeup for daily use. It also intends to transfer. I had to be careful not to mess it up. Plus, I had to buy the pump beside the foundation, which makes me feel really odd.

I'd recommend it for its full coverage and wonderful effect on photos. But I personnally would not repurchase it immediately since I don't intend to use it daily and it becomes too pricy for occasionnal use.

I've always loves studio fix fluis---but extremely pale girls BEWARE. I've got Snow White skin, and nc15 used to work well for me but then began pulling yellow/a little too dark. I decided to try the new nw10 shade, hoping it would be light enough for me. Even this shade is too dark, and also pulls quite orange. I've got cool pink undertones but this is too orangey to compliment them. I have to mix this with a little bit of violet concealer to try to tone down the orange warmth. Other than the color still not being fair enough, the coverage is great, lasts a long time when used with a primer, and looks absolutely WONDERFUL in pictures (as well as in person.) Always get compliments when I wear this, and oddly with my hypersensitive skin it doesn't break me out or cause a reaction. I just wish they'd come out with shades light enough that you don't have to mix with white Face & body or anything else. Packaging sucks, for $28 a pump should be included. Especially for 1 fl oz. Overall, this is a great foundation.

Hey everyone! So I am new to all this.
My question is, I have been wearing MAC for years, simply because I have a yellow undertone, and MAC it the only brand that actually matches my skin tone. However, I cannot afford to keep purchasing MAC.
Does anyone have any drug store suggestions for the coverage and the true match that would be similiar to MAC?

I wear NC 40 in MAC!

First of all the worker at MAC matched me with a foundation that was one shade too dark. If I had gotten one shade lighter it would have been a perfect match. They have a large range of colors which is excellent. They also have foundations that are pink toned and yellow toned which is awesome. I am super yellow toned which makes finding a foundation quite hard. Many people talk highly about this product so I was super excited to try it out. I really wanted to like this product but it ended up not working out for me. It made my already dry/combo skin even more dry. I had these weird little dry patches and flakes on my skin when I wore this foundation. Yet at the same time my skin looked oily. This foundation also broke me out like crazy. I honestly don't recommend it to anyone but if you want to give it a try that's up to you. It works for a lot of people so maybe it could work for you too.

After ten years of trying every foundation under the sun including the most expensive and talked about foundations, MAC Studio Fix Fluid with SPF 15 is one of my favorite foundations for my very fair NW15 skin.

The secret to applying this VERY full coverage foundation is using a very damp beauty blender with one large drop the size of a pencil eraser on the blender and then dab it all over the face.

This foundation is VERY full coverage and a little goes a LONG way. So my one bottle will probably go bad before it runs out. I have relatively good skin with just a little redness and so this makes my skin look quite perfect.

I don't understand why anyone would want a lighter coverage as for me I have to use so much more product. MAC Studio Fix is a really great foundation using just a tiny dab and you're set! It is quite a bargain when you look at how little you need to get good coverage.

The only thing I would improve in this foundation is the bottle (please include a different dispenser) and the color is a bit yellow. A bit more neutral would be great.

Overall a great foundation where you will really get your moneys worth!

I was matched to NW 15 which is way too dark and orange for me. NC 15 is way too yellow. I don't use MAC foundations, but do like their concealer and other products. I have a bottle of this just sitting in my makeup bag. I sometimes mix it with white foundation but generally don't wear it. It's kind of sticky feeling, and smells terrible (kind of like house paint). It actually has the same consistency. For a super heavy look it works. I won't repurchase unless there is a color that matches me better. And even then it wouldn't be for everyday use. On the bright side, absolutely no need for concealer with this one!

I'm an NC35 in summer, and my skin is dry around the edges of my face and oily on my nose, and the rest is normal. I'm prone to small outbreaks of blemishes (once a month at most) on my cheeks and forehead. Nothing suits my skin better than this foundation. I mousturise my face with Aveeno mouisturiser, apply a cheap but effective Garnier under-eye concealer, and then pump a small amount of this foundation and blend it into my skin using my fingers. I then apply some Maybelline bronzer over my cheekbones using a stippling brush to avoid a cakey look and I finish by lightly dusting my whole face with MAC blot powder. All up, this entire routine takes about 5 minutes (practice makes perfect!) and my skin is flawless, photo-perfect and has a smooth matte finish that looks healthy and natural. This foundation actually looks better and better as the day goes on. My nose is very oily, however, and sometimes in the late afternoon I'll have to give it a light dusting of the MAC blot powder - but only once. If I'm going out at night I never have to touch up my daytime foundation because it stays perfect and lasts so long!

The lady on the MAC counter done a consultation and matched me with this foundation, when she applied it along with the consealer and powder I loved it and bought all 3 products on the spot! Much to my regret a week later! The first couple of days I wore the foundation I thought it looked good but within a week it had dried out my skin and left me looking like I had dry flakes below it which I have NEVER had before! so confused as to why this happened! Im left now with nearly a full bottle and I will def never use it again!!
Love the powder and consealer so I just switched back to a lancome foundation to use with these and thank goodness I look normal again ;)

This foundation is pretty decent. I dont love it like i do with pro longwear though. Now some people complain that it can be too heavy, but it really depends on how you apply it and how much you use. You really DO NOT need much to cover your whole face and this can be sheered out to light coverage. But i also love how buildable it is. You can skin concealer and use just the foundation.

It blends really nicely and evenly. I dries to a matte finish which is awsome for my t-zone and its also ok for dry skin as long was you use a cream moisturizer before hand. It gives a flawless finish. It lasts about 8 hours. After 5 to six hours i need to blot my nose, chin and forehead just a bit. After 10 hours, i do get oily.

I do not like the smell of the foundation. Its a bit strong but i can't smeel it after its applied. If you are sensitive to smell you may not like that since the smell is strong. I also think that people won't like how it feels. Its feels heavy which can be uncomfortable for some people.

It does transfer which is one of my biggest pet peeves. Its the one reason why i dont love this foundation. I have transfering. Nothing is more embarassing than hugging someone and seeing a blotch of your makeup on their shirt!
