The notes sound promising - some fruit, some flowers, and some headier (violet, sandalwood) notes to anchor it down. Though on my body it's way too sweet, like cherry candy with a dash of pepper. Actually it reminds me of Luden's cherry cough drops. Tolerable in small doses but I get tired of it and it's a fragrance that last hours on me. I have a sample vial of this perfume and spray it sparingly...to help cut down on the sweetness I usually pair this with either a florally or amber/woody based lotion. The mixture is more tolerable that way.

i can't even describe it. it's like... robotussin with an undertone of pee. words fail.

I was amazed at all the negative reviews of this product! Amazing scent...so delicious juicy sweet....but not nauseatingly so. Young...not too young though...and just really wearable I think. I ran out of my sample sprays I had, but on the few occasions I wore this men commented every time on how good I smelled. One of my favorite fragrances and comes in such a pretty bottle!

I don't know what they were thinking at Cartier HQ the day they decided to put their name to this fragrance. It's not offensive but it smells like penny sweets. I've given my spray samples to a friend's six year old - they will fit in beautifully with her collection of fruity roller-ball lipglosses and bubblegum scented scratch-n-sniff nailvarnish.

love it! the bottle is stunning. the scent is complex. yes, it does sometimes smell a little fruity when you first spray it on but after several minutes it mellows out in a warm simply delicious scent. long-wearing also, which is a plus b/c i do like my perfumes. :)

eh...not bad. i smell the cherry-vanilla note. it's quite overwhelming when you first spray it and you only need one spray because it's kind of sickingly sweet and cloying if u have a heavy hand. and it's a fragrance id get sick and tired of very soon so therefore i would not purchase it. try it before buying because its not for everybody!!

The bottle is so beautiful. It smells sweet, like vanilla and cherry on me. It dries to a not too sweet note. Clean, young and elegant. It stays very well all day.

I gave this 3 lippes because the bottle is stunning. The scent is ok. I spray it and 10 min later it's like I never put any perfume on. For the price I would think it would stay with me longer but nope. I could probably bathe in the whole bottle and after 20min not smell a thing.

The bottle does look great on my dresser though.

UPDATE: Now that the weather is warmer, I tried this again. It smells very nice on me in the warm weather. It starts with the cherry, then dries to this sweet but nice creamy scent that I have to say I really enjoy.

I do not know the price of this fragrance. I think this is lemon and vanilla. A nice sweet fling of a fragrance; nothing serious.

Tooth-achingly sweet, but otherwise unremarkable. Listed notes include: Iced Cherry, Bergamot, Pink Pepper, Violet, Jasmine, Freesia, Amber, Tonka Bean, Musk, Sandalwood. My nose detects CHERRY, freesia, tonka, and just the slightest hint of amber wayyyy off in the distance. The more interesting notes in this list (imo - violet, pink pepper, sandalwood), are unfortunately totally imperceptible to me. I suppose if you liked Pink Sugar and were hoping for something similar, this could be good. However, I prefer not to smell like candy.

I think that the lovely bottle is the best thing about Delices. I agree with those who feel it is ordinary. It was nothing special on my chemistry. In fact, it's almost beery. A burst of sweet, but then vanished into this faint perfumey almost-beery smell. This definitely isn't destined to become my favorite Cartier scent. Another pretty bottle that won't become part of my collection. No sale.

This was hubby's last Christmas present and I wear it only on special occasions. It's sweet w/o being overwhelming, and oh-so-elegant. And the bottle. How can you not like the bottle? A great Cartier creation.

I'm finally sampling Delices after having meant to for ages, and I'm underwhelmed. I think Cartier fragrances as a rule are very, very nice - can't think of one I don't like - but this one is so generic smelling. I get no cherry at all. :-( On my skin, it just heads straight to amber, tonka, as Tovah noted below, and some kind of sweet wood (guaic wood maybe?). It's not offensive, but I have a little bottle of Elizabeth Arden Red Door Revealed, and I think this is pretty much a dead ringer for that one, only not as pretty, and I certainly don't need another one. I do love the adorable red bottle, though.

Cartier Delices Eau Fruitee....I didn't care for the original Delices, it was just TOO MUCH OF EVERYTHING, but this version is great! I get all the good cherry/fruity/amber notes but in a much more balanced juice. I have worn at least 2X a week since getting it, and that's saying alot because I own tons of 'fumes. Lovely bottle that everyone comments on, long lasting, close wearing....just beautiful.

Firstly, I didn't purchase this (thankfully). I received a sample size vial and sprayed it recently. It was very heavy, and I agree with others that it is extremely cloying. It's also too sweet smelling and almost smells generic; like dollar store perfume. I can't even begin to explain the notes in this becuase it just smelled cheap & awful.

UPDATE: I recently tried the original version too (see below for the Fruitee review) and really like it. It may be a vfruit floral with lots of cherry in it, but it is NOT your typical overly sweet scent to me. It is more deep and oriental, heady without artifical sweetness. If fruity florals tend to bee too syrupy try this one instead.

Note this review is for the Delices Fruitee version.

So many people detest fruity florals because they have been done to death and often done poorly. Not this one. I do tend to like well balanced fruity florals since they suit me, my fav being Tocca Touch. Delices Fruitee is sweeter and more refreshing in the top notes, but still not sugary like a CSP or Fresh Sugar. I really detect Cherry and tart, refrshing Rhubarb with light citrus hints as the top notes. The rhubarb keeping it from going too far into sugarland. Then, the anchors of amber and maybe tonka bean (though not noted as a note) are present. Jasmine plays through out and it's the 2nd jasmine I have ever found to not smell like cat pee on me as it progresses. I was disappointed that it did not last long on me, about 40 minutes, but I note in other reviews the scent lasted and was too strong, so I think it depends on your skin and body chemicals. As for the bottle: Utterly delicious and femine. The colors are gorgeous as are the flower petal like top and round bottle shape. This one could become a regular fav next to Tocca Touch.

Delices is normally not my thing, as I seem to have parted company with most of my gourmand scents these days. I've tried to think about why this Cartier gourmand appeals to me, then, and have come to the conclusion that it has the maturity and "presence" that the other gourmands seem to lack. Delice is definitely boozy and cherry preserve-ish, like biting into a black forest cake, sans chocolate, only the pepper note lends it seriousness and complexity. The florals tag along, giving it a little levity. This, to me, is a gourmand for grown-ups. It also has a holiday feel, to my nose - cherry, vintage liquor, pepper ... yup, definitely festive holiday fare. I tried wearing it in hot weather, and it was just too oppressive; I think that once the weather cools, I will be wearing this nonstop.

I absolutely adore this fragrance......i love the lasting power...1 squirt lasts quite a while, atleast on me...it is not an everyday fragrance...i can't quite pinpoint anything to compare it to....however is doesnt smell fruity to me like some people have mentioned. I do smell some chocolate in there.

Although this fragrance is very fruity, it works for me. It is more complex than, say, DKNY's apple perfume. I like it because I can wear it to work OR out on the town; something I can't say about Dior addict. It's definitely not for everyone, but I prefer it to something more breezy and citrus smelling.
