I'm gonna have to get on this bandwagon. I have short, fine but thick, base-color plus substantial highlights hair and have tried lots of shampoos. Either the color fades or the highlights fade or - without products - I'm just wearing a "hair cap." I do believe I'm not having the color fade and I can even get away with no conditioner. My hair looks fine just walking out the door. So it's great. But it's $53/bottle at Ulta. And in this economy...

im writing this for my mom. she is 60 and her hair has started to fall out in the last couple of years so she has been searching for her HG since then. she colors her hair frequently to cover grays and gets highlights which dries out her hair. i bought her a bottle of this and the nanoworks conditioner about 3 mos ago and she says she has finally found her HG. she said she has very little fall out now, her hair has great volume and she cant get over how soft her hair has gotten. she also noticed having more vibrancy to her color. a bottle should last her about 6-8 mos (she has short hair), even with daily washing. pureology is very concentrated and for her hair type she uses about a pinky nail size. first, rinse out your hair well until its good and saturated then get some shampoo (or conditioner) and lather it up in her palms before applying to hair. if you shampoo every 3 days, rinse and repeat.

My stylist told me this is great for damaged hair - to bring it back to it's baby like softness. It did the trick - but not that my hair is less damaged, I use the Hydrate Shampoo & Conditioner.

After reading the stellar reviews, I was excited to try this S & C combo. My hair is long and pretty normal, just a bit dry. I color it sometimes but not on a regular basis. I was just trying to find a shampoo and conditioner that was moisturizing so my hair wouldn't feel dry by the middle of the day. THANK GOODNESS I didn't jump the gun and buy a "regular" size bottle- I was lucky enough to find a trial size at Ulta, and THAT was $14. So, I figured, this product better be fabulous for me to shell out big bucks ($40 - $50) for a regular size. The first day I tried it, my hair did feel softer. But after using it for several days, my hair felt just as dry, if not drier, than before! I really felt that if this product could help really damaged hair, how could it hurt relatively normal hair? Well, while I wouldn't call the shampoo bad, I wouldn't call it good and considering the price is so over the top, I will never re-purchase. I don't even know if I will use up the little tiny trial size. Big waste and a disappointment! Nexxus therappe is much much better at a fraction of the cost!

A couple of months ago, after reading Jan C and Miamoore's glowing praises of Nanoworks, I decided to purchase. Holy cow!! Quite expensive, so I did a search on Ebay and found a Try Me Trio (seller was Waldin5) for under $30.00 that included the 2 oz shampoo, 2 oz conditioner, and 5 oz mask.

After my first couple of uses, I really couldn't see/feel a difference from using my Loma Pearatin Bodyfying Shampoo (love!). It was perhaps my 3rd shampoo using Nanoworks that my hair and I fell in love with this stuff.

My hair has such a healthy gloss and volume - it looks like I have a shine serum in my hair, and I don't. My hair feels/looks clean, and not stripped or coated. My hair is medium thick, fine-medium textured, straight, and most definitely color treated.

I purchased another Trio set from the same seller to keep on our motorhome and purchased the 10 oz. shampoo. This is concentrated, so I use about a nickel-size for my mid-back length hair. I emulsify in my hands then massage into my wet scalp/hair.

I'll be purchasing the liter sizes of the shampoo & conditioner next. I love the mask too! I add several drops of organic argan oil to it and use it once a week for a deep conditioning treatment.

I have hard-to-lift (when bleaching, of course), medium-to-thick, wavy hair that is naturally black and I have been dying it red with blonde chunks for over a year. In addition, my hair is razor cut which makes the ends more susceptible to damage. Since I've been dying it, I have been using A|G hair cosmetics which are also vegan and packed with great ingredients. However, I have never fully been satisfied with the moisture and gloss of my hair. My ends get super dry and tangle easily. I bought a trial size of the nanoworks shampoo and conditioner and after just one use my hair is completely glossy and smooth. I can't believe how healthy looking it is after one wash! I did not use a large amount of the shampoo but it lathered well and I think I could have used even less. The conditioner, on the other hand, I used more of, but it was worth it. My hair is smooth and glossy now. I am definitely buying a full size of this product no matter what the cost.

I am a color tech and stylist and we sell the nano works in our salon. About 2 yrs ago I was having alot of problems with my hair from of course overcoloring it and was also getting more grey and going through some serious hormonal imbalances, which made my hair lack lustre and shine essentially making look dead, not too cool for someone who works in the business. I know this shampoo is on the pricey side, however it is definitely worth it. I started using it and my hair and it got it's shine back and people again started to comment on how great my hair looked. It is a highly concentrated product so you just need a minimal amount, and 8 oz bottle being equivelant to a litre, remember this is for more damaged, aging or course hair, so people with healthy hair do not need to use this product. When I recommend this product to my clients the prouduct sells itself. I love it!

I bought this product thinking about how amazing it would be, but honestly, it's quite a dissappointment.
The good part is that I personally think it smelled nice and I did notice that my hair seemed softer, however, my hair was VERY oily - even after using it everyday. I would wash my hair (the recommended way: dime size drop lathered in palms) one night, wake up the next day and it would be just fine, then wash my hair the following night and wake up to an incredibly greasy mane :/ I would have to use a clarifying shampoo every other night to use this stuff!

I really love this shampoo! Moisturizing enough that conditioner was an afterthought. Soft, slightly floral scent. Super hydrating for my frizzy, coarse, colour-treated hair. Gentle too and sulfate free. Truly divine. I will buy again when cost is not a factor, as it costs about $100 US for liter size.

My "real" hair is completely gray and I have colored it for years. My stylist kept telling me it was time for me to think about no longer coloring because my hair was dry and starting to show some damage. I found Nanoworks shampoo about a year ago and I'm a huge fan. It is very expensive, but since it contains little water, you use a very small amount. My bottle lasted well over 6 months. My hair is so shiny and silky it almost feels like child's hair. My stylist was amazed - she's a big Paul Mitchell fan - and she now is using it on her hair. I tried to get both my daughters to use it and they balked due to the expense. I bought each of them a bottle on their birthdays and now they are hooked.

I've been a loyal fan of KMS Color Vitality for years, but I saw the trial-size bottle of this at Ulta and decided to test it out. It's a nice gentle shampoo for color-treated hair that lathers well and rinses fairly clean. But personally I like my shampoo to have a really strong clarifying/purifying effect (like Bumble and Bumble's Sunday Shampoo), so while I use this most days, once a week I feel the need to use a clarifying product. The scent, while strong, doesn't bother me at all. I actually like that it lasts long, and I don't find it to be overpowering or too floral.

This deserves 2 Wows! Wow, this shampoo is great. Wow, this shampoo is insanely expensive! Depending on where you live in the USA, and where you buy this shampoo (salon vs. supply store), the 10oz. Nanoworks shampoo and 8.5oz. Nanoworks conditioner retail for about $55.00..separately!! Yeah with tax, you're looking at over $60 for a bottle of shampoo! You don't even want to know what the litres go for!! Insane? Yes! Worth it? Yes! It makes your hair feel so good. Thankfully, a little goes a long way...so this shampoo will last long. It lathers well (apply to wet hair, and emulsify well in your hands first), spreads easily, smells great and rinses easily. It's funny that people complain about the scent. I think all Pureology products are heavily scented, but most of the fragrance is naturally derived. Nanoworks shampoo does not smell as herbal and clean as the Pureology volume line, but the Nanoworks smells great. It's rich, and smells like heavy French perfume. The smell lasts, but is not overpowering at all. My thin, heavily coloured and highlighted blonde hair was left super, super shiny, soft (but not heavy) and it styled easy and stayed clean looking all day. A great shampoo. I use the matching Nanoworks conditioner, and while it's pretty good, the shampoo is way better!****UPDATE**** I still love this shampoo, and like the conditioner, but I know it is not my imagination (as I read another MUA review that noticed the same thing)...but these products really darken my hair. This is a good thing, if you have dark hair, or colour it dark, but I lighten my hair to a pale, cool ash blonde & I have all over highlights. After 3-5 washes, my hair is many shades darker, and much warmer. I love the way my hair feels, behaves and smells....but I am so torn. Healthier hair, but a colour I do not care for. Really, it changes it multiple shades!!

I'm a stylist and this is the only thing I'll use on myself! Until recently, I had high maintenence color and I beat the crap out of my hair- red permanent color, and bleached out peekaboo's colored over with permanent fushia haircolor, plus I heat style every single day. With this shampoo, I saw very little pink go down my drain. It's also really concentrated so a little goes a long way.

So far, I really like the shampoo. An amazingly small dot of it lathers luxuriously. My hair feels softer. If only the shampoo smelled different (an admittedly subjective matter). I was hopeful because I like the scent of several other Pureology products. Alas, Nanoworks shampoo has an incredibly strong, cheaply unpleasant (to my nose anyway) floral scent with amazing sillage and unfortunate lasting power. Even using a different conditioner didn't help much to mitigate the smell, and it would have been pointless to try to obscure it with some other fragrance. This seems incongruous in such an expensive shampoo. Since I really like the product, I'm hoping to become inured to the smell, but the jury is still out.

OK, I did not want to like this product considering how freakishly expensive it is, but I can't help it. I had been having a lot of difficulty with my hair. It was super dry and just hung like straw. I tried SO many other products (Redken, Phyto, Kerastase, Frederik Fekkai to name a few), but the only one that restored the shine and luster to my hair was the combo of the Nanoworks shampoo and conditioner. I am totally hooked now. I used to work at a salon and a Pureology rep came in and showed all the stylists how to properly use the products. If you get your hair soaking (and I mean soaking) wet and then put a tiny amount of the shampoo in your palm and then vigorously rub your palms together to emulify and then apply to your wet head, you don't have to use nearly as much. I was skeptical when the rep kept saying you only have to use a dime size amount, but I have to admit the trial size bottle lasted me way longer than I thought it would. It's important to note that I did not LOVE this shampoo and conditioner the first time I used it. I know other reviewers have said this too and I don't know why, but by the third time is when I really noticed a huge difference. I think the effects are definitely cumulative. Anyway, I now have to figure out a way to finance this shampoo/conditioner combo!

It’s very important to use shampoos that don’t contain any sulfate, which often strip away color and natural oil from the hair. All Pureology products are considered to be 100% vegan, which is a major reason why they are one of the most expensive hair products on the market. NanoWorks products belong to Pureology’s top of the line, and are infused with natural botanical extracts such as green tea, citrus and wine extracts along with unique vegetable-source proteins and other certified organic botanicals and antioxidants. The anti-fading components actively restore hair shine and help to maximize color retention. Results can be seen after only 3 uses.

Pureology is now my favorite brand of haircare. Although it’s gets pricey, you’ll definitely get what you paid for.

Oh my goodness. This Nanoworks line is incredible! First time I used the shampoo (yesterday), I didn't really like it much. I didn't' NOT like it, but it seemed like any regular ole shampoo. Today, though, I used it for the second time (again, with the accompanying conditioner), and my hair has NEVER looked so shiny! Love the scent, too. Definitely lux. If you have overprocessed/damaged hair, give it a try! It comes in trial sizes, so you don't have to drop $100 to give it a go. I can't imagine ever being without it now, and I hope the results continue to build with more use. ENJOY!

ok... let me say this is a premature review for me.... usually i give a product at least a few months before sharing what I really think. Secondly I NEVER spend this much on a single product. $50 for one small bottle of shampoo is insane! My hair has been VERY dry lately and I felt that I needed to do something about the condition of my hair especially since my hairdresser keeps hinting at a deep conditioning treatment! I decided to invest in this product after reading all the reviews here. I can not stress this enough to women... product makes a difference. Even if you are spending $10 on salon shampoo it is a better choice than a drugstore find. TRUST ME! Anyways.... i purchased this shampoo hoping for some relief for my dyed blonde tresses and have to admit that this stuff is pretty amazing. It will help make the driest and corsest of hair softer and most assuredly shinier. I am justifing my purchase by reminding myself that my hair is worth it, that i shampoo every other day and that some washes require a color enhancing violet shampoo or a clarifing product so I will not be using this one little gem for everything. It is a much better product than any other biolage, matrix, ABBA, or the umpteen other salon brands i have tried. I will update this as more time goes by.
+update+++++++ 8/18/08 still really liking this shampoo(with the alternating days i feel im getting my money's worth also) and considering taking the $50.00 leap and getting the nanoworks conditioner also.

I only bought a small amount of the shampoo and onditioner to test this stuff out considering its price, I wanted to be sure i wanted it. And sure nuff, its is by far the best duo I have ever had!! It lathers quick and a large amount ( which I love), the smell is typical of pureology, and after I styled my hair it was like completely new hair!! it was soft, extremely shiny, full and very managable. As soon as I get the chance I will be buying the full sized bottles! totally worth it in my opinion
