I got Hot, because BBW discontinued Brown Sugar and Fig and had heard that this was very close to that scent. I defintaley detect Brown sugar and fig notes, but Ralph Hot has characteristics of it's own as well. I smell a little more coconut added to the mix, maple, vanilla and some kind of ....fruit? I really like it! So, this is a very good alternative. The lasting power is pretty good, I spray it on and can still detect it after a few hours. It smells really warm, cozy and comforting. The kind of scent that you want to curl up in a throw on the couch on a cold day.

I decided to buy this based on all the great reviews. The tester @ the Ulta i bought it at was empty, but i decided to go out on a limb and buy it anyway. At first, the scent smelled strongly of honeysuckle on me, which seemed really strange because its supposed to be a "foody" scent. whatever. anyway, 10-15 minutes later, it changed to a richer more food-like scent. mmmm....i love it, smells great! perfect for fall and winter. :) definately try it out.
Edit: Just had to re-mention how much i LOVE this scent...definately my new HG fragrance! I get a lot of compliments on it...its a pretty unique scent. It's staying power isn't as great as i would want it to be, but if you spray it on clothes instead of skin, it lasts a lot longer.

i LOVE this stuff. it's a gourmand fragrance (which means it smells like food), it's sweet smelling. For me, it lasts about half a day, you definitely have to reapply if you want to smell good in the evenings. it's not too strong like some perfumes. I like this fragrance because I think it's one that everyone can take to. You know how some people where some stuff and you're like, "ugh! how can put that on?! it stinks!" I don't think anyone could say that about this stuff. As the high notes wear off, the smell changes slightly, but not in a bad way.

This is by far my favorite perfume yet! I use to only wear Chanel perfume, so to go from spending over 80$ on perfume to under that, is a great feeling! I love the warm, musky scent to it. I always get compliments on how amazing it smells, and asking what I'm wearing. I love getting complimented that I smell good, so I wear this wherever I go. I reccomend this to anyone!

I'm on my second bottle of this. I loved that Pink Sugar perfume at sephora but it wasn't wearable, much too sweet.. love this though, it's a grown up version, but very different. I love the sugary, sweet smell of it and it isnt too strong either. I highly recommend!

I bought this at a Perfumemania sale - about 30 dollars for 1.7oz of this and matching lotion & shower gel, hence my awesome price rating, but it's pretty expensive otherwise. (I was at the Mall Of America and had the luxury of walking around 5+ stores to compare prices - burned off my lunch, too)
This smells great on me - very sweet smelling. Maple and vanilla are the first notes I smell, then some floral notes. It lasts a very long time.
It upsets me all the negative reviews on this product because it doesn't smell good on the reviewer.... smells freaking awesome on me. I don't know.
I sprayed this on my arm then waited a while before buying it - I suggest the same for everyone...

I love this perfume. It's warm and spicy. I have received countless compliments on this perfume. Women and men alike ask me what I'm wearing, tell me I smell good. I love it.

EDIT: Sometimes I buy a scent, love it, then fall out of love. But this....I work in retail and when I wear this, so many people tell me I spell good. I absolutely love it.

In similar fashion to fragrances such as the very popular 'Angel' and 'Fantasy', Ralph Lauren's, 'Hot', smells like a gourmet dessert. The thing is 'Hot', smells like like maple, cinnamon, and incense sticks whereas, 'Angel' is far too sweet and cloying. 'Hot' can be cloying too if applied too heavily or in the summer months. Also, what an ugly bottle for an oriental perfume. Now, would I actually wear this scent? Uh... it's too foody for my tastes. Maybe.

I have gone through 3 bottles of this. Its my old favorite. Its like a warm/spicy(but not the usual kind of spicy)/fruit and tropical scent that is perfect for all year round. The only gripe I have is that it doesn't ever want to stay on me. But, it smells way to good to pass up.

I originally bought and wore this scent when it first came out. I found the smell intoxicating. I loved the scent, but a boyfriend said that DKNY Be Delicious was his favorite scent of mine, so I religiously wore that and ended up giving RL Hot to a friend. Fast forward about 3 years and that boyfriend was out of the picture and I was on the hunt for a new fragrance. In my mind, I knew exactly what I wanted: Something sweet and gourmand but not something that smelled as if I belonged in a bakery. I tried a number of different fragrances and although most of them were lovely, they weren't exactly what I had in mind. While mindlessly browsing the fragrance section of Sephora, I came across my old obsession, Hot, and gave myself a little spritz. Turns out this was exactly what I had been craving. It's definitely gourmand but it doesn't smell like a cupcake. The fruity and floral notes combine with the maple, vanilla and cinnamon notes and make me envision a tropical island that I would like to escape to during an unbearably cold winter.

My one true problem with this fragrance is that it lasts only about 2 hours on me, and usually scents, even those notorious for fading, linger on me for hours upon hours. The packaging also isn't too amazing but considering I'm wearing the scent and not the bottle, I'm okay with that.

I LOVE this scent. Definitely up there with my favorites and a good replacement for what was my favorite, but has been discontinued - BCBG Sexy. This perfume is versatile, can be for summer or winter, because it is rich & sweet, but has that sexy beach summer scent to it as well. Definitely one to try if you like the sweet, spicy fragrances.

I wish I was better at describing smells. I think it falls under the spicy/warm category. I have the red and orange, and those are brighter and crisper, whereas HOT is more warm, musky, and dark. I'll usually wear it when I'm going out at night, and want something sexy. I've gotten quite a few compliments on it, so I recommend it if you want something sexy and musky.

I first got this shower gel and lotion from a friend
And totally fell in love with it!!
I now have the perfume and its so summery
Its great for those beach days when you want a little something
I wear it in my hair mostly
So its not so over powering
But sometimes I wear it as a perfume
I just absolutely adore it
I need to buy a new bottle

I LOVE all the Ralph Lauren perfumes! I have this one in blue and orange too! They all smell summery, kinda citrusy, and just so TROPICAL! RL HOT is more spicy and musky than the orange, blue, and red, but that's why I love it so much! It's really sexy!

While I wouldn't get this again, I do think this is probably the best RL fragrance I've ever tried. It's more "warm" than "hot," kind of like fresh-baked maple cookies or something, but is definately a better choice for summer than the very predictable fruit-and-sea-salt concoctions you usually find. The heat of the scent makes it good year-round, too.

I love this perfume! I am not sure what I would call it because it has mocha cream, maple and vanilla but is not a food smell, contains mandarin but is not fruity and is not exactly a floral its just absolutely amazing! I'm wearing it right now it's my signature scent!
