HG all the way. I wasn't too convinced with Ren products in general, I just had no interest in trying anything but I got a sample of this mask from Sephora & it has worked wonders on my skin. I have combination skin, normal in the cheeks, moderately oily in the t-zone & the only place I have really large pores is on my nose. After using this mask just ONE time I noticed a dramatic difference in the appearance of the pores on my nose. My skin feels soft & smooth & now, after a few uses, my pores are practically invisible on the nose. At one point I was slathering on primer on my nose because my foundation would make my pores look 20x worse but I'm finding that I don't even reach for my primer as much & my foundation looks just as good. I'm extremely pleased with this product... I also like the packaging, it comes in a pump but the product is inside of a bag inside the pump. Completely sanitary, doesn't smell too bad, doesn't sting or irritate at all. Perfect mask, I will continue buying.

I really love this stuff :) I went on some of the reviews and also on the advice of Diana @ Barney's Frisco. It smells wonderful and goes on so smooth and creamy and it spreads easily. I love the way my face looks the next day the flare ups are almost undetectable and my face looks fresh. Although it is a bit pricey to me it's worth every penny. I rotate this w/other Ren masks (I actually have them all) or I even layer them and I get a really clean radiant look. I usually use my fingers to rub it off so I get that extra exfoliation. It comes in a hygenic pump that has this tab type of thing around the ring of the product to help keep the product from oozing out. I like that the bottle lets me see how much is in there. I've tried many masks for less and for more and this one is a winner w/me and I will definitely rebuy again and again.

I have been using a sample size after being reccommended this mask by a SA. I really do love this mask. I have always been a fan of clay masks, and besides my old school Mary Kay mask, I had not found another mask that worked. This mask really smooths out my skin and pulls the impurities out. I use once a week at night and the next morning my skin is radiant and clear. I will definitely purchase the retail size unless I come across something even better.

Update: I finally bit the bullet and bought the retail size, I'm extremely happy and satisfied - now giving this 5 lippies. Between my DDF cleansers and this mask, my skin is beyond clear, toned, and just plain healthy. The texture of this mask is very smooth and little goes a long way. Unlike other masks that I spend up to 30 minutes scrubbing off just to be left with an ashy overlay, this rinses off clean and you immediately see the difference in skin tone. If you like clay masks and dont mind the steep price, I highly recommend.

I am picky (read: stingy) about masks but I bought this a couple of months ago along with the Jiagulan (oh dear, I'm not sure how you spell that...) and the fruit enzyme one and use them in rotation, roughly once a week each and I definitely approve. Each one is gentle but effective and my skin looks brighter and happier generally after use. Not the cheapest in the world, but I use Euros, so buying them in the US made them quite good value!

Nice packaging too. Generally highly recommended.

I notice my skin starts changing since hit 30. My skin changed from dry to combo skin, with large pores, dry patches and spots coming out none stop! So I was searching for a cleansing mask which helps my blackheads yet suitable for my reactive skin. I've tried expensive brands like Eve Lom, La Prairie, Dr Brandt... they are either too stripping, made me sensitive or made me break out more! I love this mask cos I feel clean afterwards yet I don't find my skin dry out.

Just started out doing the 3 steps mask as recommended by the REN site for 2 months. First use the F10 mask to loosen up the dead skin cell, and then use this detox mask the following night, finish up with the use of Jiaogulan mask. The result is amazing! My skin feels much firmer, smoother and the glow on my skin lasts for days!!! 1 pump is all you need for each mask, so it lasts you ages as well!

I was so sick of all these expensive products that will shock your skin into looking good initially and made it worse after a couple of times, so when I discovered this range it was really refreshing for me. It is a 100% natual range, so don't expect to see instant change to your skin but you will see greater benefit in the long run.

This clay mask is really too drying for my combination skin even though I only apply this on my t-zone where it is prone to acne and blackheads. It is just a plain clay mask like many others I have tried, providing only mild oil-control.

I LOVE this mask! The best clay based mask I have used so far. I use many of the Ren products, and this is one of my favourites. Easy to rinse off, leaves skin soft, and pores visibly reduced. When I use it I am always surprised how it reduces redness and calms the skin, making it more even (I have combination/sensitive acne-prone skin). Many other products do not live up to the claims made on their labels but this definitely delivers. I have repurchased 3 times so far (a bottle lasts me about 2/3 months, I use it once a week), and now that I have run out, my skin is crying out for this little gem to rid the impurities. A staple in my skincare routine.

Goodness this stuff really works. I put on the F10 mask first, then steamed my face with hot water and camomile and then applied this, for 10 minutes. My pores were totally cleaned out and nothing has ever done that before. A-mazing. Try this.

I have sensitive skin, and bought this as I was told by the SA that this is good for sensitive skin and doesnt contain any fragrance or anything that can irritate the skin.
I put this on two nights ago and noticed that there was fragrance. It may not have any artificial fragrance, but it sure has essential oil fragrance. The smell was overwhelming for me.
Two days later, and I still have the red rash and itchy skin irritation this caused me.
Your skin doesn't know the difference between artificial and 'natural' fragrance.
It also did nothing for my skin.
what an expensive mistake.
I have also used Ren's cleanser for 'Sensitive skin' and it completely messed my skin up as well.
Terrible stuff, and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with sensitive skin who cannot tolerate any fragrance, or is allergic (or could be) to lots of (and I mean lots) plant oils.

Not a bad clay mask. De-gunks skin well making my skin softer, smoother and brighter! The size of the mask is quite small considering am paying almost AUD$50+,its definitely not cheap.

This is definitely a clay-based mask; you get that pore-tightening feeling as it dries. It made my skin super soft and seemed to help with blackheads and blemishes. I used it this morning and now, 10 hours later, my skin is noticeably less oily than it usually is at this point in the day, so that is a definite plus. It doesn't have a strong fragrance, which could be a positive or a negative, depending on your point of view. I like the fact that it has a relatively simple ingredient list and the subtle scent tells me that it's not loaded with chemicals or artifical perfumes. It's not a HG but it's not bad. I'd give it a 3.5 if I could, but a four will work.

This was ok, it left my skin feeling smooth, and is full of great natural ingredients. However I have used better detox masks, and don't think that this did anything to improve the overall condition of my skin, as the effects were very temporary.
