This is the dupe of MD forte level cleanser, they used to sell whole MD forte range and pulled it out after introducing their own glycolic cleansers, not very good imitation, does not remove anything (I only use powder, no heavy makeup), it clogged my pores, left skin dirty, made it oilier, broke me out.

I wanted this product to be my HG cleanser. I started breaking out in early 2006 and my skin just wouldn't clear up. Nothing the derm gave me worked. Since Dermadoctor got such rave reviews, I tried it. Should've known it was too good to be true. I've used the Glycolic Acid cleanser for over a month and my skin hasn't really changed much. I still breakout and my overall complexion is not clear. It burns if you use this product while you have open pores and it does not clean makeup off well. I wake up in the morning and still have makeup on my face--even after washing my face with the cleanser twice the previous night! The packaging is cute (not that it matters if what's inside it doesn't work). The price is not the worse I've ever paid for a product but, I would pay anything for something that's gonna work. And this simply did not work for me.

CLEAN, SO SOFT AND GLOWING! My skin is incredibly smooth now and this cleanser will Not dry you out. I was always hesitant of cleansers that say "for all skin types" because my t-zone is so oily, but this cleanser truly is great for any skin type!! I have been using #1, and will buy the #2 next. This is a cleanser that really does more than just take off make up and grime.

This is okay, but only when used as a mask. As a cleanser, all it does is sting like hell and not remove any makeup or debris or dirt and leaves my skin feeling draggy. So, I use it like a mask and it's better that way. I apply in the morning after washing my face, on dry skin only, and do other things for five minutes, then rinse off in the shower. I don't expect to clean anything, and I'm okay with the stinging and the weird not-clean-face feeling it leaves me with. I like the fact that it exfoliates without me having to scrub sharp edged things all over my face.
I'm on the fence as to whether I'd repurchase or just buy an at-home peel.

I use this in the am (and La Vitton cleansing oil in the pm) and I absolutely love the results. I have dry, sensitive skin and I have a hard time using scrubs and peels because they irritate my skin. Because of this, I started using this in level 1. So far, after a few weeks, this cleanser does not dry my skin out at all, and it leaves it feeling soft and clean. My skin looks the best it ever has - why couldn't this have been around when I was a teenager? I also like that you get relatively large amound of the product (7 oz) for around $25 - I think as far as high end skin care goes, this is a pretty good deal. HG found!

WOW... I usually give a product a couple of weeks before writing a review but I'm so happy with the Wrinkle Revenge #2 that I had to chime in.
I found this gem from a search on this site. I use a lot of high-end skin care products but figured cleansers are not on your face long enough to do much of anything.
I can't believe how much I like this product. My face is soft, GLOWING and removes all my makeup (even my waterproof mascara and eyeliner).
I've used a lot of premium products so I didn't think this was too expensive. I do hate the flip top tube. I feel like I'm using toothpaste. Would've preferred something a little classier and a flip top would've been okay if it was on a bottle.

This is a really neat product. I've never used a glycolic acid cleanser that actually seemed to do anything "renewing" or "exfoliating" to the skin. This one definitely does. You're supposed to apply it to a dry face with dry hands, massage it in, then rinse off. It feels tingly while you're doing this, and rinses off with ease. Leaves my face looking fresh, glowing, and not too dried out. So why not 5 lippies? Because (1) the a-little-goes-a-long-way concept does NOT apply to this product. To cleanse my oily skin effectively, I need at LEAST a quarter-size dallop - which is kind of a lot. And (2) it's just not the best for removing makeup. If I'm wearing a sheer foundation and minimal eyemakeup, fine no problem. But when I wear my heavier makeups like MAC Studio Stick or Revlon Colorstay, or more than a little eyemakeup, Wrinkle Revenge has problems. I have to come back with two cotton pads soaked in toner, and spend a good 2 or 3 minutes swabbing with eyemakeup remover, just to pick up what this cleanser leaves behind. Too much extra labor for me. While I love the luxurious feel of the product, the performance falls short in the "cleansing" area. So I will probably not repurchase this and go back to using my Clinique Wash Away gel cleanser, which dissolves all makeup with ease.

i like using this cleanser in the mornings. i use WR 2, and it doesn't sting. chemical exfoliants work much better for me than physical exfoliants, and my skin has been looking pretty good since i started using this. will definitely buy this again.

I've only used this twice so far, but this is an AWESOME glycolic (but gentle) face cleanser. I received a large sample from Sephora today (saw the rave reviews here). I was hesitant to try this as I have very sensitive skin (prone to redness if cleansers are too harsh or have fragrance). I will update if something changes, but this stuff is amazing. It doesn't sting my skin (like some cleansers will do with the wrong ingredients or fragrance). It is soap free and does have some anti-oxidants (green tea, pomegranante, ubiquinone, and sorbitol). It is also fragrance free which is great too. It doesn't dry out the skin and but isn't sticky following cleansing. Just a soft brighter complexion is left behind. This is great for all skin types, but if you do have *very* sensitive skin I would try a sample first to see how your skin reacts.
Note: I had to stop using this cleanser. After about a week or so I had small bumps here and there on my face. Glycolics I guess are too strong for my sensitive skin. I think the ascorbic acid (vitamin C) was also irritating to my skin. Normal, combo, non-sensitive skins would probably love this.

I use this stuff and love it. I've tried other glycolic acid cleansers, so I started with Wrinkle Revenge 2, which seems to be the perfect strength for me. Lasts a long time, makes the skin smoother, and I noticed an increased glow to my complexion after my first use. Better than the other glycolic cleansers I've tried, and does a great job of cleansing without stripping the skin of all moisture.

This cleanser made a HUGE difference in my skin. My pores look cleaner, my face glows, and I feel so much better going outside with no makeup on! I used version #1, which is perfect for me right now. Not too strong for my slightly sensitive skin, but strong enough to make a visible difference.

I have been using this product for about 2 weeks now and think I've finally found my HG cleanser. I've been using the Level 1 forumulation but, since that has not caused any irritation whatsoever, I just bought the Level 2 to use as well. This cleanser removes all traces of makeup without leaving my skin feeling dried out and stripped of moisture. My skin is actually much softer and more even toned since using this. I am oily in the T-zone and normal everywhere else but I can see this cleanser working well for just about type of skin.

I read the reviews here on MUA and bought this cleanser at Sephora. So far, I am very pleased-it's one of the best cleansers I've used. It's very creamy upon application, and removes my makeup and any oil, sweat, etc. But it's not drying. And I'm noticing that my face is clearer after using this, and my skin seems 'brighter.' I love that it is fragrance free, non-animal tested....just a very good, effective, high quality cleanser. I will definitely repurchase.

I have been using the cleanser for a week now. This review is for the #2 one.
I know they come in 1, 2, & 3. I couldnt imagine how strong the #3 is because the #2 "Talks to me quite a bit", and I have been used to glycolic products for some time now. I REALLY like the cleanser. I've not had anything that I DIDNT like by DernaDoctor yet! They are a fantastic company. Qaulity products at a pretty fair price. The Dermadocote website is on of the MOST worthwhile clicks on the internet...check it out. I used the cleanser without using my Dermalogica per-cleansing oil first (b/c I was in a hurry) and my toner pad came out very clean which leads me to believe it gave me a very thurogh cleansing! I always apply my D.D. "Picture-Poerfect" after and WOW! cant go wrong! $25.00 for 8 ounces is not bad. I bought the N.V. Perricone pore-refining cleanser for $35.00 and its much smaller. I liked the D.D. cleanser better. Its worth the money ladies...

I am a fan of well-formulated AHA cleansers. My favorites include SSC, Aquaglycolic, MD Forte. MD Formulations has excellent cleansers too. Imagine my surprise when I test drove a couple of samples of the Dermadoctor. The texture and smell are most like Aquaglycolic and I really didn't expect to be wowed. But wow! Something's different. The antioxidants that I assumed were a bit of fluff and a marketing tool actually do something. My skin looks brighter in a way that it doesn't with my other fave AHA cleansers. I've just ordered a full-size tube.
Alas, I had to return this after all. The cetyl alcohol was a problem (once again) for me and I broke out. :(

I am almost 40 oily/acne prone. I am also prone to clogged pores. I decieded I wanted to try out a glycolic cleanser and started looking around. Picked the DermaDoctor because they have a range of different strengths. This review is for the #2 cleanser.
I bought this in November and have been using it 2x daily since purchase. So far I am loving the results. The first few times I used it I had some stinging but nothing too bad. Now that I have been using it for a while I can see the results of fading marks slightly but some is great. My over skin texture is so much better and my complexion is much brighter. I am seeing far far fewer breakouts and they last alot less time than they did before. I will repurchase for sure. You only need a small dot for your entire face. To be used on dry skin per instructions. Therefore the $25 price doesn't bother me.

I just bought this cleanser based on the great reviews. I'm breaking out alittle around my mouth, but i bought this to clear up my skin. I'm going to stick with it because the most recent review the user also broke out in the begining. Overall i love the feeling o the cleanser and it's not drying at all. I'm really hoping it will work. I will update in a week...UPDATE..Loving this cleanser.I'm so happy it doesnt dry my skin out. My mom is now using it. We both have sensitive skin and it hasn't bothered it at all!!!

As I've said before, you have to let your skin get used to any product containing glycolic acid. Your will most likely have a breakout. It might even last for 2 or 3 weeks. The breakout is from your skin decongesting. After that stage, your skin will glow. It's really worth it. I'm still so pleased with this cleanser! :)

Very impressed with the cleanser. I have the level one which is fairly new. It is the cream cleanser variety. I use this in the morning and Proactive at night, and I don't need to use any type of microdermabrasion product.

WHOA!
This stuff is Amazing. I am floored! I am using the level 2 cleanser, which is 12% glycolic acid. It's a cream-fluidy cleanser that doesn't foam (hooray!) Leaves your skin clean and smooth, and I swear after 3 days I didn't need to do any other exfoliation, just this cleanser day and night and my face is soooo smooth and clear. I'm 34, have acne prone skin that dries out in winter and i haven't had any problems with this cleanser being too drying. I also see fewer breakouts and no blackheads. If you've been using other glycolic cleansers for a while (I used serious skin care for about 7 years before i started switching around occasionally), give the level 2 a try. It'll wow you too!
