A beautiful, light vanilla touched with musk. I love Warm Vanilla Sugar but I actually like this more, or at least as much, in a different way.

I received this in a gift set along with the shower gel and body cream. It's described as fresh vanilla bean, sweet praline and warm vanilla milk. I like it because it is a very wearable vanilla - not too sweet or foody, just very fresh. I would repurchase.

The quality of Bath and Body Works lotions/creams is normal--nothing special, but does an acceptable job of moisturizing. The scent of this lotion is wonderful--warm and soothing without knocking you over with sweetness. I prefer it over the Warm Vanilla Sugar because it sometimes can be to strong and sweet. This vanilla is also more "workplace friendly" and I even use the Healing Hand Cream at work.

I tested this a few weeks ago, liked it, but wasnt blown away by it.
I love fragrance of all sorts, byt my search for a lovely neutral vanilla with a little depth has been not so sucessful, VBN, smells great but it's a little too foody and burnt..but I am cautiously optimistic that I have found my HG(this is described as pure vanilla, a touch of praline, and a vanilla milk)
Finally, I decided to make the purchase, and I bought the wash, cream, and there was a special so I got the EDT as well. Well I love it. It smells lovely and light and very inobtrusive...My significent other has deemed it as "the perfect scent..period"
And, it layers perfectly with every fragrance I own for the days I want a little more oomph, and stands easily alone on the days I dont want to wear a heady fragrance...
I love love love this..If BBW ever discontinues this I will kill them.

This is a nice true vanilla fragrance scented body lotion. It is not overly sweet or foody, just a basic vanilla. It moisturizes nicely and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth, even during the cold weather days. I like to use the shower gel and body splash with this lotion.

This is a nice basic vanilla. It's sweet, but not overly sweet like some of the frosting vanilla scents. It's warm and inviting. I normally don't go for vanillas, but this one is really nice. The scent lasts quite a while on my skin especially when I wear the body splash too.

So disappointing! Practically a clone of WVS...this one has lots of musk, too. I was expecting a fresh, sweet vanilla after reading all the reviews here...nope, there's nothing 'fresh' about it at all.
I love WVS, and return to it time and again...however, there's no reason to buy this scent at all since they are so closely related.

I prefer Warm Vanilla Sugar by far. The Fresh Vanilla smells much more like a coconut scent to me, but not a true coconut. It reminds me of the Demeter angel food cake scent (which is also heavy on the coconut note).

This is definitely the fresh sister to the WVS scent. I think it kinda smells like the Rice Bran Shea scent that BBW discontinued, but that's just me. I wouldn't say that this is my staple vanilla lotion. Vanilla Bean Noel is my favorite by far!

Just like the name says, it IS "fresh vanilla". Much lighter than Warm Vanilla Sugar, which I found to be a little too heavy. I have received compliments on this when layered with the shower gel and the body splash, and it stays all day. I even received a compliment from my sister, who HATES anything vanilla. So there you go. Good stuff.

I should probably begin this review by saying that I am decidedly not a foodish scent person (I gravitate toward clean smells, fruity smells, and light floral smells). I also never was particularly taken with vanilla scents; I dated a man who loved vanilla, so I grudgingly bought some Victoria's Secret Vanilla Lace -- which I promptly and gladly gave away when we broke up. I say this because, thanks to this scent, I understand the appeal of vanilla! :o) I got a full-sized bottle of this for free, thinking I'd try a dab and likely end up swapping it. The dab turned into slathering it on after a bath one night, then again the next night...and before I knew it, I realized that I truly loved the scent. It isn't as cloying as WVS; it is, as the name implies, a fresher scent. I can't describe it other than to say that it's just a cleaner vanilla scent, but still warm and soothing. While I don't see myself ever buying the EDT, the lotion has become one of my staples. We are also in the process of trying to sell our home, and our real estate agent recommended that we buy some vanilla plug-ins. I reluctantly filled my wallflowers with BBW's french vanilla refills, and I have to say that I wasn't overly impressed at all. But the other day, I decided to buy the fresh vanilla candle (also a first for me -- I am a total candle freak and used to get darn near offended if anyone ever gave me a vanilla scented candle; I considered them useless, when you can get such luscious scents as Pier 1's Ginger Peach and Island Orchard...). Suffice it to say that the fresh vanilla candle has even converted me -- I just love it! It's just clean and warm and somehow so relaxing.... I would highly endorse this scent, even to those who don't care for vanilla - definitely worth a try!

i had been debating whether to buy this since i have wvs, but finally i gave in, this fresh vanilla stuff is BOMB its better than WVS cuz its not so much of a cookie, sugary food smell, even though i like WVS, i LOVE fresh vanilla. i will definetely buy again, i snatched up the body wash, lotion, cream and spray. it does smell "fresh" er than wvs, and my boyfriend likes the smell too. the way it smells does depend on body chemistry...the avon vanilla smells good too.

I really wanted to like this product, but the scent of vanilla milk and praline was too much for me. It is a nice scent, however, and seems to come somewhere between the discontinued Creamy Coconut and the hazelnut scent. I think I would like this on someone else, just not me.

I always found Warm Vanilla Sugar to be a bit too cloying, so I was pumped to try Fresh Vanilla. It didn't disappoint. It has all the vanilla goodness of, say, homemade ice cream, but not the overpowering sugary smell of WVS. It just leaves my skin pleasantly vanilla-ish. I have the body cream and shower gel (getting ready to try the gel out for the first time today). I picked up both because I had a coupon. The body cream goes on with a nice fresh scent and lasts pretty well. I put it on last night and can still smell it on my skin today at noon.
No BBW fragrance can ever replace my beloved Chanel Coco Mademoiselle for a real perfume, but for a nice comforting lotion and shower gel, this rocks.
This review is only for the body cream...the other things smelled good in the store as well, and the body butter was luscious when I sampled it. My only note of caution is for the body splash, which smelled like vanilla extract...however when the alcohol in it dries down this may go away.

ok, I'm the misfit of this group. I DO NOT care for Fresh Vanilla. To me it's very, very sweet.A couple reviewers described it as having a vanilla bean pudding scent. I agree. Sort of vanilla bean pudding meets the Marshmallow Man. I like a nice light scent of vanilla that doesn't necessarily have to linger. THIS LINGERS ALL DAY. I'm a HUGE fan of BBW products and will continue to shop there. I just won't be repurchasing Fresh vanilla. Also, at BBW you can return or exchange ANY product that you HAVE USED with receipt for something else. Their customer service and staff are wonderful!!!!

I have the trial sized Fresh vanilla lotion. I don't think it smells anything like WArm Vanilla sugar. This one smells to me like fresh vanilla and a light flowery scent. It doesn't smell foody to me, just like a light vanilla perfume. From reading the other comments it seems like Fresh Vanilla smells differently to everyone else. I know it all depends on body chemisty. All you can do is try it. If you don't like it, pass it on to someone else. People in my family will take anything as a gift if it is Bath and body works without thinking twice about it.

I had a coupon for a free Fresh Vanilla or Fig body lotion and since I'm a "vanilla" person hands down so I chose the Fresh Vanilla. When I 1st used the product (bought the matching body gel) I came out of the shower & asked my sister what it smells like...she said it smells like those bottled cherry candies to top your ice cream with. I kinda agree. It smells very sweet and crisp. It's a pure vanilla smell, almost like pudding (like another poster said). WVS is kinda different from this....WVS is more warm & musky and FV is crispy & like the name said fresh.

As others have noted, this is a nice new addition from BBW. Tried the Fresh Vanilla body cream and its scent seems to have slightly better staying power than Warm Vanilla Sugar, which I also like. Will likely repurchase.

I do prefer this to WVS, which is way too strong on the sandalwood and musk for my tastes. This one has a hint of musk, but it doesn't overpower the vanilla as in WVS. Still, I thought this was a rather generic and boring vanilla. No reason to purchase it over cheaper options available at Wal Mart.

This is almost exactly the same as Warm Vanilla Sugar. I was hoping for more of a true vanilla like the original Vanilla Bean from awhile back. Why does everything vanilla have to be mixed with musk? It gave me an instant headache. I will just wait for Vanilla Bean Noel at holiday time...(which is coming out again this year along with Winter Candy Apple and Very Merry Cranberry)
