OMG! LIFE CHANGING! I LOVE THIS MASCARA =) I've used everything from high end to low end and for awhile I was a "forget high end mascaras... low end mascaras do the same job" and I relied heavily on this mascara.. omg I don't even remember the name anymore it's been so long! It comes in a pink tube I think it was Maybellyn? And then this beautiful tube mascara came into my life and I was floored. I like most expected to not like it. I tried it on my eyes and it was instant volume, perfectly even separation, perfectly fluffed outer lashes. I was astonished! I thought to myself okay this is either going to 1) dry out to fast 2) Flake 3) only be good for the 1st week you use it 4) start to smell really bad or 5) hurt to take off... NONE absolutely NONE of the above has happened and it has been over two months and I am on the same same 1st tube. Putting this mascara on is my favorite part of my daily make-up routine. It lasts all day, does not flake AND it makes my lashes feel so light and natural. At night I remove this with Sephora brand make-up wipes and I have not seen any breakage or lash loss since changing over to this mascara. If I were to compare the result of this I would say it's like dior show BUT it doesn't try out and make my lashes feel like the bristles of an old broom! I hate dior show for that reason! But this gives me the luxurious sexy lash look without giving me any sort of discomfort. I can't complain about a single thing when it comes to this mascara. NOTHING at all! Try it out :) You'll enjoy it!!

I know its expensive but its worth every damn penny b/c not only do I want nice lashes I also want to care for them to! It's a two in one!!!!

I got this in the mini at Sephora with the Firebird mascara. I was expecting not to like it too much, but I do.

I have straight Asian lashes that needs a lot of help. I use an excellent primer from Canmake called Quick Eyelash Curler ( without this, wearing mascara is not worth it) that really holds the curl & grabs the mascara. NOW, there are some mascaras that look good with this primer and some that look AMAZING. This mascara really looks pretty on, it clumps a bit, but it easily brushes out & it looks really dark & flirty without that heavy, spidery look. No smudges, and washes off easily. The first few times I used it, it took a while to dry, but I apply my mascara in front of a fan always because I believe the quicker it sets, the better it holds the curl so that wasn't an issue.

I don't think I will buy the full size because it is $24, I think and that is too much for me. But I got quite a lot in this mini tube and the set was $10, I might buy another one of these. I also wrote a review for Firebird, which I liked even though I thought it would suck.

Definitely HG for me. I'm constantly on the hunt for a mascara that will thicken my long sparse eyelashes. On a whim, I decided to try Supernova while on vacation in San Francisco; the gal at the Fresh boutique highly recommended it. I'm so glad I bought this...it is fantastic. Hands down, one of the best mascaras I have every tried..it thickens, it lengthens, it lasts through the day but washes off at night fairly easily. The downfall is that it's pricey at $24. I usually try to stick with drugstore mascaras, but I'm so in love with Supernova that I'll probably figure out a way to keep it in my stash.

Not totally sold on this mascara. I most recently was wearing Dior Show, but that mascara was taking my lashes off. I was recommended this product by a Sephora SA, and although it isn't as harsh, I still wouldn't call this my HG mascara. The SA told me that I could keep reapplying throughout the day if need be with this mascara, but I didn't find that to be the case. It clumps my lashes when I put on more than 2 coats. I only paid $10 for this and the firebird mascara duo and am glad I didn't pay full price. It's an ok mascara, but I don't think I'll repurchase.

This is a great everyday mascara for me. It isn't a holy grail but something about the formula just makes my short sparse eyelashes look healthier, longer and more voluminous, but in a very natural way. The consistency is perfect, not too runny but not so thick it gets clumpy, and it glides on in a velvety way if that makes sense. It holds my curl quite well but doesn't add any curl of its own which I don't really expect anyway as my lashes are dead straight.

The brush is great and easy to use, it does well at getting to the roots of your lashes as well as the corners and gives an even, light coating of mascara. I use one coating for the day and 2-3 at night. Somehow, although there is nothing that stands out to me as being incredibly amazing about this mascara, I still love it to death and I notice a big difference when I don't use it both in the finish and ease of application.

As another reviewer said, I am surprised that this has such a low score. I think this is a lovely mascara. I have short stumpy little eyelashes and this makes them look much thicker.

I think its a nice natural look, its nothing like Double Extend, or the Falsies or anything like that. It doesn't add a lot of length and is not super dramatic, although it is a nice dark black. If you like a more dramatic look, I really don't recommend this, it is not going to give you that look at all, and you will not be impressed. Its more like your natural lashes, just better. I also like the brush, its a good size, not too big as I don't like big clunky mascara wands because my lashes, especially lower lashes, are so short!

I have gone through about three or four tubes of this and have not had any issues with smudging. I also found it not to be clumpy at all, which I looooooove! That is my number one gripe with a lot of mascaras- clumping, enemy number 1!

I gave it one lippie off because of the price. I actually started using a mascara from NYX and I like that just as much and that is 3 bucks, so...

I got this as a sample in the Sephora Mascara Christmas package thing... Anyways, I wanted to love this mascara so badly! It gave great length, separation, even a tinge of volume if I dare say so. But every day, without fail, I had raccoon eyes. I would leave the house looking fantastic and was disappointed by the end of the day.

Poor poor supernova. I loved this mascara until it smudged, I really did. My lashes were nice and black, full and long...but the smudging after several hours was unbearable because I liked what it did for me SO much. On to the next mascara =(

I bought this on impulse. I wish I hadn't. It's OK, but my 7 dollar Maybelline works WAY better. This is good if you don't need much in the way of length or volume, but it's not much for a dramatic look.

I LOVE THIS MASCARA!!! I bought the Fresh supernova and firebird duo at Sephora and adored this mascara. Firebird was awful but this was sooo amazing. It really lengthened and voluminized but if not the best at separating. It is expensive but i adore it so it is worth it in my eyes. When I run out I will most likely repurchase, but maybe after using up a tube of another mascara to save up for the price :).

Nice mascara. Gives a natural fluttery looking finish. It's not really a lengthening mascara. Just some volume and flirty definition. At $25 - eeeh. I'm not blown away. YSL Faux Cils is my fav for volume and length -- YSL Singulier for length and curl. This is nice. The tube feels cheap after using the weighty YSL gold tube for a year. It's funny that I think it everytime I pick up Supernova. I really do think - uh, this plastic tube feels cheap. (( which please understand - I am not a packaging snob. )) I like the brush. I wonder if this mascara gets better with age? I'll update when I finish the tube. :)

at first, i hated this mascara because it was too creamy. but as i kept using it, i noticed that it volumized my lashes as well my diorshow blackout mascara. although it cannot hold a curl that well, i dont mind curling my lashes throughout the day so that doesnt bother me :)

I love this mascara. I orginally had the gift set with firebird. I loved it so much I got it in the full size. I'll have to admit it pricey (26 bones I think). I do believe its worth it though. My lashes havent looked so good. Its hard to have a HG in mascara for me because I always change up but I do find myself reaching for it often. It doesnt flake or run on me. Lengthens, thickens, and very black what else can one ask for! GOOD STUFF!

Update: 25 bones.

This is a great mascara! I am really picky about my mascara because I get oily lids and most mascaras smudge and make me look like a raccoon or give me dots all over my top lid. This mascara has been great! While I can't wear it on my bottom lashes because it will smudge there- it is fantastic on my top lashes. I've never once had to wipe smudged mascara off of my top lid. My all time favorite mascara will always be Bourjois Coup de Theatre, but my local Sephora no longer carries Bourjois and I've had to make the switch, as I don't want to pay the shipping costs. So far Fresh Supernova has been a GREAT replacement. I'm very happy with it- it will be my new standby! It's glossy, glides on easily and really lengthens my lashes without too many coats.

I am desperately trying to fall out of love with this mascara - I really am, but nothing will do. Ever since I bought its mini version, whenever I try to replace it with another brand, it just doesn't feel right. Darn you Fresh !

The only thing I have to say against this mascara : its price. I live in Canada, so it is about 30$ a piece, if I am not mistaken. I die a little inside when I have to spend that much on something I know will only last me a couple of months - but, darn it, it's worth it.

First of all, the packaging is quite possibly the cutest I have ever seen for a mascara. It's simple yet it catches the eye. I find it girly in a not-too-girly way, which really works for me. Also, I am very picky mascara-brush-wise, and I simply love this one - it's rigid, does a great job separating the lashes and I find it's easy to work it. The formula itself has never flaked on me and it's not a pain to remove. It builds up easily and simply looks great. Like someone mentionned before me, it's not meant to create dramatic looks, but I still find it defines the eyes very well, and it is a jewel for everyday use.

I was stunned to see how bad its rating is. I suppose a lot of people have very high expectations because of the price. I might recommand buying the mini version first to give it a try (Sephora's value pick mascara sampler is a great way to do that, especially that it is currently on sale !).

Basically, I love it, and until I find a cheaper dupe, it'll be worth all the not-eating and working over time to be able to afford it ! ;)

I only tried this in the mini version. I bought the 10 pack best selling mascara at Sephora. I love this mascara. It doesn't give a dramatic look but certainly a clean feathery lash look. If you are looking for something simple, everyday, clean look mascara this would be it.

I'm disappointed to say this, but this is the worst mascara I've ever used. I was instantly attracted to the packaging at Sephora, and I figured the high price tag probably translated into a terrific product. It claims to add volume, lengthen lashes and curl, but it doesn't do any of these things. I liked the way it glided on my lashes smoothly, and it makes them look dark and glossy, but besides that, there was nothing good about this mascara. I applied it after using an eyelash curler, and it wouldn't hold the curl at all. It smears very easily, and the residue it leaves behind is hard to clean up. This is not worth the price at all, you'd be better off purchasing a mascara from a drugstore for 1/5 of the price.

I went into Sephora looking for a good mascara. the SA told me that if I was looking for lengthening, volumizing, and that can hold a curl, the supernova would be for me. She applied it on my eyelashes and she had me sold. I purchased the mascara even though it was quite expensive for my tastes because I thought it had the potential to be my HG mascara. No. I was beyond wrong. It applied and stayed nicely in the store, but when I got home and experimented with it, disaster. I applied it in the morning, it did everything it said it would, lengthen, volumize, hold my curl. I was in love. 2 hours into wearing the mascara, i felt the curl began to droop. They just felt super heavy. I looked and I had the WORST panda eyes ever. I looked like I haven't slept in days and I was the walking dead with the worst dark circles under my eyes compliments to this mascara. Needless to say, this mascara went BACK to Sephora. Not worth the money. Not the best out there.

I feel the need to witness for the love of my (mascara) life, Fresh Supernova. Supernova and I are in a committed relationship. I might look at other mascaras (I am human, afterall) but I know which side my lashes are blackened on and I always come home to Supernova, my love. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. It's the glossiness...coat-after-coat buildability with never so much as a speck of clumping...the perfect confection of a brush that takes my lackluster lashes from wallflower to wow-factor. It lengthens, thickens, darkens, lifts, separates and never leaves me wanting for more. And the packaging...ahh, pretty Supernova, I smile each time I see your lunar starbursts and swirly goodness in my makeup kit. It was in the stars, kid. We were meant to be together forever, chang-chang, changity-bop she bop.
