Just bought my second one, and I think they changed the formula. Not nearly as black.

Sorry, but I love this stuff! Super easy to apply and produces the best tightline I've ever done. It does smudge a bit, so I don't use it on my bottom lash line anymore, but overall, a great product for the money. Works great with MAC's Contrast shadow.

all i have to say about this product is that it's OVERRATED!!!!!!! this eyeliner is terrible in the sense that it smudges sooo easily and i wind up looking like i have black eyes after a few hours. does not work well on the waterline at all....and for $18 i would expect much better. sorry ladies, skip this one!

The worst eyeliner ever! It inevitably makes you look like a panda bear by in a few hours with the constant dripping, smudging and chaos it leaves behind. Then it's impossible to remove! You'll be wiping this garbage off your eyes FOR DAYS! I have tried it over and over - in different climates, for different events, humid days, drys days, days when I don't wear contacts, etc....all with the worst experience each time. I hesitated to throw it away because it was so expensive. Finally had to get rid of it because I had mistakenly grabbed it instead of my Urban Decay 24/7 and ended up with a make-up disaster.

I agree with mostly everyone on here: 3 Stars. I, too, was influenced to buy it after learning that it was Kim Kardashians fave. However, it smudges way too much when using it on your lash line, so I only use it on my waterline. Though it does stay on forever on your waterline, it does smudge on my under eye area afterwards, and when it's time to remove, it then won't come off. It's so stubborn. I literally have to try using a pad to try and clean my waterline! It's 50/50 for me now because I do like the intensity of the black color and the smoothness and it's long-lasting attitude on my waterline... but I am not 100% on it because who wants racoon eyes at the end of the day... And who wants to tug at their eye area to take their eye makeup off... including the waterline. Shouldn't that come off easily? Not this product when you want it to... Anyways, I'm basically echoing everyone else's reviews but just wanted to strengthen their opinions by adding my two cents. If anyone does have a tip on smudge-proofing this product, let us know.

Bought this because Kim Kardashian uses this. If you go on youtube she has tutorials on her makeup. Her eyes are absolutely stunning due to this eyeliner. First, on why I like this...Vivid pigmentation. This liner is so dark and intense, more like any other that I've ever used. It's a kohl eyeliner so its very easy to apply. The negatives, yes it is super smudgy. I use this on my waterline but find a couple hours later it makes it's way down to my lower lashes. It's a very greasy formula, similar to NYX black bean eye pencil, except NYX is meant to be a colored base for eyeshadows. I do like this and will continue to use occasionally. Not sure if I would repurchase.

I love love this eyeliner. I love to wear black eyeliner and I love for it to be very very black because it makes my eyes pop!! Its very creamy and smooth. It goes on real easy. I only use it on my water line though. I've searched and searched for an eyeliner that I could use on my water line that stayed and this one works. Now its kind of pricey for an eyeliner but it works so I dont my spulrging on it. One the best eyeliner I say...It doesn't smudge much for me. I just got PRK surgery (almost like Lasik) and even tho I'm using eyedrops all day the eyeliner doesnt smudge or runs off. This is perfect. My eyes stay dark and poppomg all day long. :)

This liner irritated my eyes like crazy. My eyes felt uncomfortable the whole time i wore it. It also fades like crazy too, literally within 2 hours. I don't understand all this BUZZ around this liner o_O

I only bought this product because it is apparently Kim Kardashian's go to smoky eye product and lets face it if there is anyone who does the smoky eye the best its her, her make up artist rather, but you get my flow. The color was intense, super blendable for the smoked out effect and easy to use. BUT, smudges like crazy, by the end of the night you look like you have been through hell and back. I am not sure how Kim is able to keep it from smudging, i tried using it with a brush so that I would have far less product but no good, it was always end of on my cheeks and I dont even have oily skin that could perhaps attribute to such smudginess. Its far to expensive, if only it didn't not smudge as bad I would buy it again but as for now, i am not going to.

This eyeliner is so creamy. Very black. It does transfer so less is more. I only use it to line my upper and lower waterline and then I smudge the liner down into the lash line and a little underneath so that when it does transfer its not so obvious. This replaced my MAC Smolder eye kohl. Amazing product will buy again and again.

I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews on this product, when I have only good things to say about it. Granted I only use it for my upper waterline ONLY. It is very creamy in texture and glides on almost effortlessly. I like it mostly because it doesn't smudge onto my lower waterline or gathers at the corners of my eyes. I do have to retouch it every couple hours though. I will repurchase this when I run out.

BEST liner for the waterline and to tightline. It goes on incredibly smooth and dark. You only need to pass on the area once and it's pitch black. This stuff works on the waterline better than UD 24/7 pencils.
I wouldn't recommend applying this on the upper or lower lashlines because this stuff smudges. If you do, I would suggest blending it out with some eyeshadow on top to create a smokey effect.

Best product to do your waterline and tightline. I love how the eyeliner goes on smoothly. Not a good product for people whose eyeliners tend to goop in the outer and inner corners of the eye. Setting it with a black shadow may help a little.

I love this eyeliner! i love that it smudges easily for a smokey eye. sharpening it can be tricky, but i put it in the fridge for a bit to harden it and it works fine!

I bought this because of the marketing hype, and since Kim Kardashian said she uses it. Don't buy into the marketing! This product does not work for me. The texture of the pencil is very very creamy, so yes, it glides smoothly, but it smudges like crazy. It is very expensive for a product that doesn't work great and doesn't last. I also find that it is very difficult to sharpen into a point. This is very frustrating, as I like a pencil to be pointed for a neat application that you can build upon and/or smudge for a smoky eye. When I use this eyeliner on my lower lash line, it is such a thick line, that I end up having to soften it up with a Q-tip or eyeshadow. It may work better for upper eyelid area, but for lining the lower lash line, I prefer something that's less soft in texture.

I wish I could give this negative lippies. This wasn't eyeliner, it was a grease pencil. It took an insane amount of smudging, my makeup remover marker, and extra concealer to make this wearable.

What I like about the Kajal eyeliners are that they go on clearly, but aren't harsh. Onyx provides a good liner but isn't so dark that it makes your eyes look scary. Its also smudgeable to make that even less of a problem.

Looks like I have pretty much the same experience as everyone else. This pencils is so smooth and creamy and it is very pigmented and opaque. It glides on so effortlessly, and looks stunning immediately after applying. I've only used it on the waterline, and it really doesn't perform all that well. I guess because it is so creamy, that it fades really easily, within a couple hours I could see it migrating to the conners of my waterline (not very pretty!). It performs better when set with a matte black e/s, but since I wear contacts the e/s really irritates my eyes. In my opinion, my Covergirl pencil liner performs better than this. I won't be replacing mine when it runs out...

I purchased this product after I saw it in a Kim Kardashian makeup tutorial. She raved about it but I would have to disagree. It goes on super pigmented and glides on super smooth, but the bad out weighs the good, and it smudges too easily.

I lost my first one half way through and I re-purchased it because I was impressed with how well it showed up at first, but even after trying to set it with a dark shadow on top, it faded and smudged.
