at first when i used this product i was absolutely in love. i have purchased 2 bottles in my life so far and they were far between. the first bottle i used right up and loved it. the second more recent purchase i found after a couple of days i was breaking out!!! so now i am so heartbroken that i think it might be the culprit!! i think its good to use on an infrequent basis but daily is not for me. so i would still buy it again but as i say i would not use it everyday just for like, special occasions where i want EXTRA mattifying power.

NOTE: i started using effaclar K and it is AMAZING. i use it everyday before makeup and i NEVER EVER have shine anymore. best product ive bought in a loooonnng time and i have been using for about 2 weeks now.

This is a great oil-free moisturizer!!! It didn't clog my pores or cause any breakouts, and it was the perfect weight for my oily skin during the summer. It really did a nice job hydrating my skin. I wouldn't say that it was really mattifying, as it did leave my skin with a slightly dewy look. The only problem is that I have to drive quite a ways to get to a CVS that carries LRP, so I've turned to other products instead.

it doesnt moisturize enough. i have oilish skin HOWEVER, i still need to moisturize properly. my foundation did not go well over this product mostly due to lack of moisture. and i did not notice less oil on my skin however i didnt use it a lot. i put it in the closet, i'll take it out in the summer i guess. deff not crazy about this product. IWOSTIN is less cheaper and does a way better job. also im using benzoyl peroxide.

UPDATE : im using this again now, when my face isnt ruined from benzoyl peroxide and its muuchhh better, its smells nice, it doesnt cause pimples, its keeps face more matte than others aaand it moisturizes but not a lot, a lot. it depends on how much moisutre u need. all in all this product is great as long as it metts your moisture needs and if ur not on benzoyl perozide, it probably will!!

Very light, virtually no scent, absorbs easily, leaving skin smooth (for a time at least) and matte...So very good for day. I don't think it's all that moisturizing though, so at least now that my skin is quite dry, I prefer to use something richer at night.

I didn't like the smell and I found that it didn't sink in to my skin very well. In the end I switched products because it didn't do much for my skin.

It is a very good product, it really does mattify my always shiny skin, before this I was a slave of blotting papers, now, I rarely need to use them, its very light and it has definitely helped me with the size of my pores, I think its working in great synergy with the Effaclar Purifying Gel which I use every morning and night to wash my face.

This cream is so light that it may feel like its not very moisturizing, so during the winter, I feel like I need something extra in some spots, but like other reviewers, I just use a richer cream for those days in the dry areas.

All in all, is a great product and I plan to keep it as part of my daily routine :)

I received a bunch of samples of this from a really nice SDM SA and I LOVED it! I have fair, sensitive, acne prone skin which is horribly dry in the winter and oily in the summer, and , thus, am always looking for anything to improve my skin, lol. This was great! It left my skin feeling smooth and soft, and, using in the morning and at night as I did, helps get rid of those awful flaky, dry patches. My skin was less red and I had no new breakouts the entire time I used this, despite discontinuing to use my BP gel before bed. I squeezed every last drop out of my samples....Now, for the bad news.....the price. I can't afford to purchase it right now, being a poor college student at the moment. But as soon as I have the cash, you better believe I will be buying a tube of this! Highly recommend to anyone with the same skin issues as me (and trust me, I feel your pain!!). :)

This moisturiser does what it says.It gives a clean matte look, very light texture and it is absorbed very easily. It's great for those who have oily and super oily skin. And it will not break you out.I love this.
However,I have combination skin so this isnt moisturising enough for me since it's meant for oily skin. The problem can be counteracted by just dabbing a little richer cream on dry spots.

I love this moisturizer. It has a matte finish and it moisturizes. I use it with the Deep Cleansing Foaming Cream and they work wonderfully together. I don't break out anymore and I don't get as many white heads. I found it expensive in the beginning because I'd go through a bottle in a month or two but I think I was overloading it. Now I use one or two squirts and it does go a long way. The bottle is great. It's easy to use and it doesn't get contaminated. I would definitely buy this again and again.

i wished this didn't break me out cuz i loved everything about it. it spreads well, feels very light on the skin, and actually moisturizes. it dried to a completely matte finish. after two days, tiny bumps started to appear... and unfortunately, it was the moisturizer that broke me out.

After Rosaliac (which ruined my skind and gave me zillions of blakcheads and pimples) I turned to Active Matte as my savior but after studying ingredients list I changed my mind.. It has Isocetyl Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Triethanolamine, Isohexadecane etc. All comedogenic!! I used it very few times (without knowing whats in it) but I am not going to use after seeing all these ingredients. For your information Toleriane Fluid (Light version) has very few ingredients which are none comedogenic. I will stick to it.

Love this product. I use this moisturizer daily and find it keeps my oilies under control and still is a nice and light moisturizer. Also, it's minimally scented so that's nice as well. I've had a very hard time finding a light moisturizer that moisturizes and keeps my skin from breaking out and I love this product.
I alternate this product with LRP's Hydreane Riche which is very simliar, just thicker for those extra-dry winter days.

as much as I love the effaclar line, this moisturizer is just makes me oilier than I am... I stopped using this after a week and used effaclar k alone and so far the results are much better... would not repurchase :( also it doesn't hydrate or moisturizer much....

This cream does mattify my combination skin, however, if i use unly this cream several days one aafter another, my skin get a bit dry in non T-zone areas, but that might be because of winter, I want to try it also in summer. It also works better on imperfections thank Effaclar K.
Will buy again probably.
Edit: I forgot to add that it evens my skin and redness and wide pores seem to go awaya bit while I use it.

i love this moisturiser! though it dosent seem really moisturising. but i like the matte feeling after applying and also it controls my oil pretty well. i used to wake up with an oil field but not anymore after using this. my t zone is still oily as usual but my cheeks are no longer oily. one thing i dont like about this is the 'cucumber' like smell... i hate cucumbers anyway...now i somehow got used to it. i also realised that it seems to help control my clogged pores too. i got less clogs after using this. maybe because it controls the oil production thats why. however, when i went to facial recently(one month after using this day and night), my facialist said my whole face is tiny blackheads! i used to have lesser blackheads but bigger ones. those that i can see and can feel but then after using this, i feel my skin is smooth and soft but then the number of blackheads seems to be much more than before... tiny but alot. i wonder if this is consider as improvement on my skin condition or not...shall monitor and update again.

I adore this moisturizer. For my combination to oily, sensitive skin, it's really been wonderful. I've used so many moisturizers in the past, as I'm oily but dehydrated, and this just meets every requirement I have in a moisturizer. It's matte, but it's a great base for my makeup, even after I let it set. I've gone from my $50 jars of Clinique Superdefense to my $10 Biore pumps (and two drops of jojoba oil) and I'm so far, happiest with this. It's got a very light, inoffensive scent and an even lighter consistency, so it glides across my skin just beautifully. I'm thrilled with Effaclar, and it's definitely made HG status.

At first: good moisturizer and good mattifying effect
After 2 weeks of use: JUST GREAT. I feel it really treated my oily face. I am using less and less of those blotting papers and my make up stays longer.
Luuve it!

First of all, Wow! Now for the run down. Since I've quite taking the pill after 10 years, my skin has gone from normal/dry one-zit-every-third-month to oil-spill-with-3-new-pimples-every-morning. None of my previous HG moisturizers were working, infact they made the greasies worse. I had new blackheads, white heads and red bumps that never came to a head. My t-zone would be greasy after 2 hours and that was including wearing mattifying products.

Well, after the 2nd day of using this moisturizer, my previous pimples started to dry up, I was no longer waking up with white heads and the greasies has dried up to be only half as bad as before! My skin isnt dry after application or sore, like some acne moisturizers do to me

I will most DEFINATLY be repurchasing this!

I think I might be a tiny bit less oily than usual when I wear this under my sunscreen and mineral makeup. I still have to blot but I don't have to do it as often. The texture is a runny, liquidy lotion that absorbs very quickly and leaves a matte finish and no weird residue. There's a rather strong, sorta fruit-perfume scent, which is quite weird, especially in a high end item like this. It's not too bothersome, just...weird.

I don't think this is quite worth the money. I also think this may have made me start breaking out everywhere. I'll pass on getting more.

I was previously using the Evian Affinity Oxygenating moisturizer but was not happy with it because it did not control the oil on my face as well as I wanted it to. But this Effaclar does a fairly good job of controlling it the whole day but it can also be very drying. I don't really like the smell too. I know some of the reviewers like it but it's just not for me.
