This is a great top coat. I noticed a lot of reviews menioned shrinkage and the smell which I find to be a slight issue but the smell goes away and I find the shrinkage so minimal that it doesn't bother me considering the effectiveness of the top coat. I apply every other day to freshen up and it really keeps my polish staying on for usually 5-7 days and the shine is great from this product! I heard that Revlon Colorstay has the same results without the shrinkage so I'm going to give their topcoat a try next time to compare.

Pros:
Definitely the best top coat for lasting wear
Fastest drying top coat

Cons:
Pricey
Can smear if you don't use the brush properly
It gloops very quickly - after it's about half empty it gets unusable

Overall:
This is my favourite top coat with how fast it dries, and it leaves a nice shine. It can smear nail art but it's less than others I've tried.

Well, this product did not disappoint! I had been putting off trying it because I was really liking Nail Tek II and I had several bottles, but as my supply dwindled I decided to take the plunge and get Seche Vite. I am very happy! The product is easy to apply, does dry super fast, is affordable, and my nail polish lasts as long as I can expect. I can get 3-4 days of no chipping and any chipping I do get is minor, so I can get a week or two with touchups.

My only complaint is that it smells really bad, but it's such a minor issue that if it meant a less effective formula, I'd rather deal with the stench.

I have absolutely NOTHING negative to say about this. It's everything that I've ever wanted in a top coat and more.


1. The finish is very glossy
2. It really does keep chipping at bay (I can usually go for a week with no chipping when wearing this top coat).
3. It dries SUPER fast
4. The brush is good and makes coating each nail a breeze.
5. It's not overly expensive.


Seche Vite has worked wonders for me. Now I want to try their base coat too!

Same as everyone elses review. Love this stuff. I am a nurse and wash my hands 100 times a day and I'm on day 4 without a chip or anything. Nails look as good as they did on day 1. I'll see how long I can go without a chip.

I have been using this since a year and I LOVE it. So Much. haha!

I am a nail polish obsessed person and Seche Vite made my life so much easier. It gives a nice glossy effect and seals the polish for a better durability. It makes some colours pop and look even better. I don't even need to mention about how fast it dries. I always had issues with getting my nails dry properly. Even when I thought they were dry, I still had marks and incidents happen. But Seche solved that problem just right!

On another note, I have tried some other brand fast drying top coats, but they are not satisfying after Seche. This product is the best!

The best top coat ever!! I can put this over any nail varnish and it will dry really quickly and it doesn't smudge the colour already on your nails because the brush is so light and just floats over the nail. I think it works best when you put it on nails that haven't dried yet.  It also makes my nails look so shiny!!

This stuff is ridiculously amazing!! I have never been a big nail person because polish would chip on me the day after I painted them. Just seemed like too much work. I had been using Posh top coat because someone had used it on me once and the shine was the best I had seen. I finally decide to give this a try and WOW! I use it in conjunction with Gelous from Sally's. I apply the Gelous then the two coats of color, then Gelous again, then Seche Vite. It dries my nails almos instantly and has amazing shine. My mani lasts a full week! Now painting my nails is worth it. Will always repurchase!

I have been using this for a few months now and all I can say is FANTASTIC! I use it with my OPI colors and my nailpolish will last (and look shiny and fresh) for 2 weeks!!!! I thank the girl that turned me on to this product every time I see her. I have naturally long nails but I wanted to try the gels as people raved about them and how long the nailpolish lasted. I was very disappointed because they were just like acrylics minus the length of the acrylics. After a week and a half my nails grew enough that the gel was starting to lift and I was paranoid about water getting underneath and causing some type of fungus (many a friend has had this problem with fake nails in general). I had them removed asap and my nails were trashed so I ran to the beauty store to find something that would help. It was then I was introduced to this fabulous product. It is truly a miracle top coat as the nailpolish dries quick and evenly (no matter how streaky you get it) and it lasts!! Wish I would have known about this product a long long time ago!!!! For a long time I just kept my nails short and unpolished because I hated the process of painting my nails every four-five days because the nailpolish chipped. Now I only have to because of the growth. The nailpolish does not chip or peel. LOVE THIS STUFF!!!!

The hype is real go out and get this top coat now. No more waiting forever for nail polish to dry. No more "pillow marks" on fresh manicures--- I promise you I can do my nails before bed or first thing other morning before my shower. This product does what it promises to do.

Only con is that it does goopy half way through, but invest in nail polish thinner from Sally's-- problem solved.

As others have said, it dries super fast. Almost too fast as I find I have a little trouble spreading it over my nail unless I really glop it on more than I'd like, otherwise it will be streaky and pull.

It is amazing how fast it will dry, it stinks to high heaven. Just make sure you have a good amount on the brush or you might have trouble spreading it on the nail.

Best top coat ever!!! It dries the nail polish underneath in 30 sec. But it's true it gets very thick as the time goes on, so you either have to buy the solutio the thin it, or buy a new one, still worth it!!!

It absolutely gets very thick and goopy as time goes on. The drying time is so very quick though and it is very shiny. But dont think that your nails will be rock solid within minutes- yes theyll technically be 'dry' but this just means that theyre going to be resistant to instant smudging. with a finger press to the nail, it will damage your nail polish. it dries so quickly though that i have to repurchase. and after a while, the product does become hard to reach with the brush. I have to tilt the bottle as much as i can. Also, the brush is a little stiff for me. sometimes is scraps my colored nailpolish if its too wet, and ruins the manicure before application. but i love my Seche Vite simply because its so shiny and in the beginning uses, it makes my nails look professionally done.

Painted my nails, topped with Seche Vite and 1 min later ripped open a diet coke 12 pack case and popped a can - nails are still perfect!!! This top coat dries super fast and makes my nails look fresh. 2 negatives: strong smell and my nails still chip after about 5 days or so but those don't bother me that much. I will purchase this again.

I wanted to love this. I have given it many tries since I bought it six months ago, but everytime I apply this top coat on my nails, the nail polish peels off in just a few hours. It doesn't even last a day! It is true that this helps to dry out your nails faster and it looks shiny, but I don't think is worthy. This top coat just seems to penetrate all the coats of nail polish you have applied to make a single coat that peels off when you use your nails for a long time (e.g: in the shower, when washing the dishes... etc). It doesn't make your nail polish more resistant or more longwear. And it's expensive. Overrated top coat.

I really love this topcoat. You know when you first apply a topcoat and you're like wow, how shiny and glossy looking this looks! But then it dries down and you say "where did that high shine finish go that I was hoping for?" Well after this dries down, it keeps it's amazing "wet" shine! Love, love, love it! The only reason I took away 1 lippie is because over time, the formula starts getting thick and goopy. I have yet to go through a complete bottle because halfway through I need to repurchase a brand new one.

I purchased this hearing great things about it. I can't say that its not good but it's not the best. I do like that it leaves a nice finish to your mani but I feel that it starts chipping after 2 days or so. Maybe it's because I'm always doing the dishes or running after my son! lol other than that it gets the job done.

My go-to top coat! Dries fast and shiny :). Makes doing my nails on a regular basis easier.

Two qualms:
1) The tendency to cause shrinkage with some polishes. Not a big deal-- I just use ones from Essie or Deborah Lippmann for those (which work just as well, but Seche Vite dries the fastest!).

2) A bottle gets goopy and difficult to use about halfway. I have used Seche Restore, but it never fully "restores" the polish. I end up buying a new bottle anyway.

I do not understand the hype about this product! After reading reviews everywhere, I bought this a few weeks ago. The 1st time I used it, my polish peeled within 24 hours in a way it has never done before. Since I figured there had to be something to all the good reviews, I proceded to try it again [& again] at least 6-8 times, using different base coats & polishes thinking maybe that had something to do with it. Each time the polish has peeled the next day. I have never returned a polish before but I am bringing this back because it is absolutely worthless. If you just want a quick dry, it's fine but if you want your polish to last more than 24 hours, do not waste your money!
