I always use lipbalm before bed and tried all the drugstores one but they end up making my lips dryer. This one is really moisturizing, smells like lip smackers and i think it will last me a really long time. I havent had any problems with the packaging so far

I loved the product: so moisturizing, smooth, plumping. It was awesome until I woke up the next day with swollen lips. Unfortunately, it turned out I'm allergic to something contained in the balm. Had to give it away. That's a pity coz I really loved it

Love love love this lip balm!! I just wish it was in a tube so that it'd be easier to open and wouldnt have to use a finger...

But besides all that, i love the actual product!!! Moisturizes and smells so good.

i bought this after looking at it for quite some time and I am glad I did. I really like this lip balm because it's not to gloppy on my lips. It moisturizes lots, has minimal shine but long lasting effects. I apply it underneath my lipstick when I am at work and it make my lips moisturized and retains the color of the lipstick for hours.

I love this lip balm! My girls made off with it some time ago and I just found it again (sneaky little buggers). It is wooonderful. Keeps my lips moist for some good length of time either by itself or over lipstain/lipstick.

The artificial strawberry scent isn't too cloying and fades after about five minutes.

Petroleum? You bet. The other ingredient that most "moisturizing" lip balms usually contain is beeswax and if it's a high concentration, it dries my lips out like crazy! If my lips are super dry, I'll put on a bit of coconut oil first, let it sink in, and put this balm over the top to seal it.

As far as the tin, at this point it looks like it will last me the rest of my life but I will definitely repurchase. I paid about seven bucks for it. I haven't had any trouble with the top coming loose (it's almost too tight). I don't mind dipping my finger into the tin as it's lip balm not, say, eye cream. If it really bothers you, the gigant-o wide mouth tin can go right up against your lips and should fit all but the biggest pouts easily.

Holy Grail!

Love this product! Immediate relief when applied. I've been a repeat purchaser of the Rosebud Salve but this is now my favorite.

The tin is super cute and easily recognizable, as well as the smell. My friend introduced me to this lip balm and I could smell it on her several feet away. The smell is sort of a super sweet and girly strawberry, bordering overbearingly artificial, but it's a characteristic that gives this balm it's charm. The tin itself feels surprisingly durable-- or at least mine does. Some of my friends have complained about the lid loosening and needing to put a rubber band around the entire thing to keep the lid from slipping off all the time. One complaint I have about this balm is the texture. I've never been a huge fan of petroleum-based products, and I found that I had to apply this extremely sparingly to prevent the semi oil-slick feeling. At this rate, with the amount of balm in this tin, I'll probably be using this for a couple more years!

This is my favorite lip product in the whole world. It was one of my first purchases at Sephora :) I've had it for over a year, I use it everyday, and it's not even close to running out! It smells so delicious, like a strawberry smoothie...I will totally buy this again when I run out in approximately 5 years...haha!

I bought this lip balm on a whim, but the scent sold me. It smells like artificial strawberries, which not everyone may like. I hate the packaging, having to dig my finger into the pot. You do get a decent amount of product for about $8. Even though petroleum (dries out my skin) is the first ingredient, it is surprisingly moisturizing. It's smooth and makes my lips feel silky. I apply every night before I go to bed and before I apply any lipstick/gloss. I have finally hit pan on it a couple of days ago, and I have had this for over a year. This isn't my holy grail lip balm, but it is pretty good. Overall, this is a decent purchase. I think there are better lip balms out there for cheaper.

I love this lip balm! It moisturizes my lips better than the chapstick brand, and nothing I ever came across moisturizes my lips better than the chapstick brand! The smell is ok. My mom says it smells a LITTLE BIT like a jolly rancher. I don't really notice the smell after I apply it........ Also ppl u don't have to dip your finger in it. I don't dip my finger in it, it's wide enough you can easily press your lips in it, duh :p

I am absolutely in love with this product! I have tried so many different lip balms blistex, carmex, chapstick, mac lip conditioner, etc. and none have worked as well as this. This balm is very emollient and thick so it saturates the lips with moisture. It is also reasonably priced at $7 w/o tacx at Sephora and even more affordable; if you get the tin which includes 3 Rosbud Salves this one, minted and the original salve for $16 w/o tax at Sephora. Give it a try you can always return it if its not what your looking for or did not meet your expectations :)

I'm not a fan of the smell of this lip balm. I don't think it's anything like strawberry - it's a bit to sweet and artificial. If I'm nauseous I don't use it, because it makes me feel even worse. Though it's a great moisturizer for both lips and other dry spots, this is not a lip balm for me.

I love the original, but loveeee this strawberry version even more. I love a fruity smelling lip balm and this one smells like sweet strawberry candy (even tastes good too!). Leaves a nice glossy sheen to your lips and is not as sticky as the original. I like the tin, but don't like using my fingers. A keeper for me!

I love this lip balm. The tin is an adorable gold with hints of green and red. The strawberry smell is lovely but not overbearing and too strong. What I love is that it goes on sheer. The lip balm is very moisturizing, even though the base is petroleum, it is twice as effective and doesn't have that greasy, sticky affect. I got this at Sephora. In Canada, it is like 10 bucks. Reasonable price compared to other lip balms. This is my staple lip balm whenever I go out. I don't even use lip gloss unless I'm looking for colour. This makes my lips hydrated and gives it a nice gloss. LOVE IT.

Went into my local sephora looking for help with breakouts I was getting all around my mouth from my current lip balm. SA saw me eyeing this up and said it was great for acneprones. I'm so glad I picked this up, it's delicious! I carry this everywhere with me and have even been applying it to breakouts and other problem areas. This is going to be a staple...plus it brings back memories of the balm tins my mom had when I was little :) The only con is in the same...the tin is a breeding ground for bacteria.
Update 5/2012: Used up as a hand moisturizer my mouth area is sensitive to everything these days, clogged pores and blackheads all around lip edge...

this product is quickly becoming my favorite lip balm. I've owned it for a couple of months now and I find it's the only thing i reach for out of my numerous collection of lip products. it's long lasting and very moisturizing. I know the base is practically Vaseline but it is definitely more hydrating than regular Vaseline. the smell is similar to strawberry candy which I love, though at times the artifical sweetness is a tad annoying. I'm overall very happy with the product and eager to try the other flavors. I just don't know to find them besides sephora :-\

This has been great for my lips this winter. I love the sweet strawberry fragrance, the fact that there is very little taste to the product, don't mind the texture and amazed at how well it works. If I apply some before I go to sleep, I wake up with the softest lips. It also works well over some of my more drying lipsticks (I'm looking at you, MAC) and has been able to keep my chapped lips at bay even on the coldest and dryist days. The only complaint I have is with the packaging. I hate sticking my fingers in tubs/containers of lotions and the like and will use a spatula whenever possible, but that isn't easy to do with lip products in pots. But the packaging is functional and sturdy, so that helps. Overall this was an impulse buy and I am so glad I discovered it. For once a product does what it promises, which always makes me happy. I only wore this once so far so can't say for certain if it works as well as the original Rosebud salve, but it did keep my lips soft and moisturized and I think it will be just as fantastic as the original upon more applications. Do try it if you're looking for an inexpensive salve that delivers what it promises as for such a tiny price tag, you really can't go wrong.
