I wanted to like this product so bad but sadly i couldn't. First off the smell is awful which is probably normal with most self tanners. After a couple days of using it you turn orange i was very upset so i stopped using it when i stopped it faded and left little blotchy orange spots everywhere it was horrible i will not be buying this stuff anymore.

Overall i would rate this a 3 because it does what it says its does but isn't the best.

For the price its not that good. Its about 9$ for a tube of it that you have to use everyday in order to see color. I could go through a huge bottle of lotion in about a month and that has 3 times more lotion in it then this does. So you figure it will only last you maybe 2 weeks.

Everyone complains about the smell and I did to at first but after using it for a while i have grown to actually like it. It does have a self tanner smell after you have had it on for a little while but you are self tanning so what do you except. If you don't like the smell apply it before bed and wake up and shower it off. I also didn't like the little shimmer it had in it because i am a male and would rather not leave my house with glitter all over my body. It was however not that much and could only been seen in the sun light. I stopped using this product because after using it for a week my palms/body was starting to turn orange a little. I am also very tan and it was annoying applying a lotion like this every night to only get a slight color. I prefer the one shot dark self tanners because you see results fast and they are pretty much flawless to put on. I don't understand when people say they streak because i can do a horrible job and still not be streaky. You just have to rub it in good like you would a lotion and you will be fine.

Overall I personally would not recommend this for someone who is somewhat tan. If you are extremely pale then you could probably use this to get some color but don't expect a miracle at all. It was an okay product just not really for me.

Two years ago, I had to have several pre-melanoma spots frozen off at the dermatologist's office. Ouch!
I have decided to heed his advice to avoid tanning.
I have tried self-tanners before, but wasn't good at applying without streaking and it always looked unnatural. I picked up this product 2 weeks ago, because I was intrigued that it was a gradual "glow". It really looks pretty good! Yes it has an odor, but I only use it on my legs .
I just use this everyday after my shower - it's really just like using a body lotion. You just have to be sure to not dress for about 15 minutes and wash your hands afterward. I have light skin but I use the medium to tan shade. This is really helping me feel good about wearing the summer shorts and sundresses!

i find the price too high for starters - at almost $10 it's not cheap. i am very fair and hoped to have htis product give a better color to my legs. it did - ORANGE! seriously, i used the lotion very sparingly because i didn't want to overdo it, and yet it happened anyway. despite staying away from ankles/knees, the orange color still appeared in those areas. this is actually the second time i have given this product a chance - the first time was over 5 years ago (or so) when it first came out. still a thumbs down because for me, no matter how little i apply, it still streaks orange

I love this product! I am a fair-skinned white girl with freckles but can tan fairly well, and this product goes on smoothly, evenly and gives just what it advertises - a "natural glow". I always exfoliate with a loofah and put on lots of normal lotion first, esp. around elbows and knees and other rough areas, then I just put Jergens Natural Glow on like normal lotion and rub it in well. It's always natural looking, just a soft glow. They really named it well- thats what it is!

I got this in light medium. I applied it at night after my shower at first i was like hey this stuff is great its moisturizing and smells decent well i got in bed and soon enough I became ill of the smell. The stinch of this lotion was soooo strong I had to wash my sheets to get rid of it and change my clothes. As for the color I was impressed initally by the shade I was turning then I realized once i got in the sunlight I was orange! This crap took a few showers to get rid of and I only applied it twice. Not to mention it stains your fingernails no matter how many times you wash your hands after application. USE GLOVES! Overall I will NOT be buying this again.

I love this self tanner. I have used many self tanners and this is the one I always come back to, although I prefer the foaming formulation to the cream. Before I apply this product, I shave with a good razor and then apply a moisturizing lotion combined with a couple of drops of baby oil gel. Once that is massaged in thoroughly, I apply my Jergens self tanner. Make sure it's massaged in well, so there's no streaks. I've found that if I follow this procedure, the self tanner lasts all day, even through a rain storm! The only gripe I have is that is does have a smell, but really, what self tanner doesn't? All in all, it's a great product!

Pros: inexpensive, easy to apply, natural, subtle looking color,
Cons: distinct self-tanning odor, needs several applications before you get anything approximating a tan

I Love this product!! This lotion locks in my tan and makes it last much longer. Even when I haven't had time to tan if I am using my Jergens on a regular basis it will keep me fairly dark. This is definitely a necessity in my daily products!

I have a love/hate relationship with this product. (I've got the older version - I understand they've reformulated and rebooted the packaging.)

For my fair, neutral-to-cool pinkish skin, the hint of color that develops after the first application of the Fair to Medium lotion is a reasonable approximation of the color that develops after actual sun exposure. In short: it does what it says it will, so it's great for making my legs match my arms and making my myriad of bruises and scars less noticeable on my otherwise nearly reflective skin, without the zebra-stripe streaking I've experienced with other self-tanning products.

The problems, though, are reminding me of why I had a mostly-full tube in the back of my medicine cabinet. It STINKS going on and the smell gets worse over time. It's sticky if applied to parts of my body that aren't as bone-dry as my lower legs, and stays that way for several hours. It can make the keratosis pilaris on my upper arms redder, although that effect is not long-lasting.

I'll keep using it on my legs, but the all-over glow won't be happening from this tube of lotion.

Pros: cheap, provides light color, easy to apply
Cons: stinky, sticky, worsens KP

My ex boyfriend's mom got me a tube of the lightest color they have available while I was down in Florida because I was "so pale".

I only used about half the tube of lotion because I quickly acquired darker skin through being burned multiple times in the panhandle summer.

From what I could tell, though, it worked. It was gradual, not overly staining, didn't smell as bad as anything else I've experienced and the price was great.

I keep coming back to this product despite some flaws.

Cons first - The smell is a bit worse than some other DS products. I find that it takes maybe two showers to totally go away, and it is worst when I sweat. The color is also a little bit more yellow than some other STs.

Pros - VERY few products I've used give me good, even application on my legs. Even after exfoliating and shaving, most lotions, gels, foams, sprays, you name it leave my legs looking streaky, pores accentuated (who would have thought you could notice leg pores before sunless tanners were invented?) and just really rough and uneven. That really doesn't happen to me with Natural Glow. I think gradual is the way to go for those of us with really difficult skin on our legs or anywhere else.

I have very fair skin and I don't really notice a difference in results using the lotion for light skin vs the medium skin product. Maybe I just haven't been paying close enough attention.

I've used NG Express and the foaming tanner. I don't care for Express and still think the gradual Natural Glow beats both products, except maybe that the foam is so quick to apply and really dries better than almost any other self tanner in drugstores IME.

As far as the difference between the firming and revitalizing formulas, I flipflop between the two and don't really have a major preference between them. The firming can feel a little bit stickier I think.

I am SO naturally pasty it isnt even funny, and its so hard for me to get some colour on me. I have platinum hair so it obviously made me look like an albino. Anyways, I've tried a couple other self tanners but they turned me a nasty orange colour. I just bought Jergans Natural Glow in fair/medium and I have to say that I was impressed. It doesn't go on streaky and it moisterises great. It leaves me with a goldenish tan which is better than being pasty, but I've always wanted a brown tan, so just a warning for those of you who want it brown. It does give me a healthy glow though. I also find that it smells REALLY good, not like self tanners usually smell, and trust me I've used some horrific disgusting smelling fake tanning lotions. Anyways, I am definitely going to buy this again because its cheap and it does the job.

I really wanted to get a tan this summer but for some reason i cant tan. I would when i was a child but that end when i hit my teen years. But anyhow i bought this because im pregnant and cant get in a tanning bed and i hate wearing sun screen so i thought maaybe a self tanner would wwork but all i got was tan on my arms. My legs didnt even change color with this so now i just use it for a moisturizer. I got the newer version and it smells lovely plus it has a little shimmer in it which i like but i wish it had spf in it. I belive that makes sense to put some spf in it but it has none so you still have to wear sunscreen. Would i buy it again. No.

This was a good moisturizer...but that was all it was good for. The color was a bit on the orange side. It was not bright orange, but definitely not the natural sun-kissed look. Would I buy it again? Definitely not. Would I wear it again if someone gave it for free? Definitely not. Reason being....I just can't stand the smell of this stuff. So powerful and gives me a headache. I could go on and on about how nasty this smell is!! I would wear it at night and the next day my sheets would smell so strong of this stuff. I tried mixing it with my other moisturizer to calm the odor. Just didn't work. This stuff is disgusting!

After years of tanning beds, I decided to quit and go to a safer way of getting a "tan". I have always been hesitant to try a self-tanner because I've heard the odor is really bad and, instead of a tanned-look, you look orange. But, I finally tried Jergens Natural Glow self-tanner in light/medium shade. I LOVE IT. The fragrance is very pleasant. It really gives you a natural tanned-look; not orange at all. I applied it everyday for one week to develop a base color. After the first week, I only apply it about three times a week. I have never had streaks or uneven spots. PLEASE NOTE: it is very important to exfoliate before each application. The only problem in have is the container -- it is very slick, especially after you have applied the lotion to one body part and you're trying to get more out of the tube to put on another area. Very slippery.

I thought this was a good product for me since I just want a little color during the summer months. I put it on after my shower and thought it was a very nice texture and my skin felt soft. HOWEVER, when I got in bed, the scent (meaning odor) was so powerful and sickening I had to take another shower.

I've almost finished my first bottle of this stuff and I love it. It gives me a natural looking tan even though I'm naturally porcelain white. It's not orange or streaky. I don't like the smell, but that's just me. My mom loves the smell so it's just an opinion. I plan to buy more soon, so I'll be tan for Prom
