Having tried and loved the fluidline in blacktrack I thought I'd give another colour a try as I wanted something which didn't stand out too much for my more natural days. This colour looks gorgeous in the pot however once on my eyes it just seems to clash with me. As others have pointed out, it is rather red and it isn't dark enough to be an eyeliner for me. I also find I get this on my eyelashes during application and it makes my look even more unnatural as I have black eyelashes.

I just got Rich Ground today, I was a bit disappointed when I tried it for the first time. I think it's because I have a tanned skin the color doesn't really stand out on my lash line :( It is a very pretty bronzy metallic color though.
I had a second attempt trying it as eye shadow, it turned out stunning. However I still want it to work as an eyeliner, I'll try to pair it with the right eye shadow and will edit my review then...
I'm an NC 35.

this is my second fluidline and i wanted to like this, i really do but the color just does not look right on me. i fell in love with it when i swatched it on my hand but on my eye it just looks ...ugh! for reference im NC 42 (summer) with golden undertone, black hair and very dark brown eyes. if that sounds like you then you might want to try this one first before dropping some cash. i'm putting mine up for a swap.

This color looks gorgeous in the pot, and it reminded me so much of Teddy Eye Kohl, but it goes on really rusty, orangey on me........not like the gorge color Teddy is :( Sucks cuz I was thrilled that they had a similar color to Teddy in their fluidline collection, but with way more staying power than Teddy (which is my one pet peeve about that eyeliner) but, boy was I wrong. I still dream of the day that the M.A.C people realize how great of a consistency the fluidlines have and how gorgeous of a color Teddy is, and they merge the two together in a holy union!

I've been using Teddy eye kohl for over a year, and I think that Rich Ground will be the replacement. Teddy, although a gorgeous color, has absolutely no staying power. Rich Ground is a shimmery bronze color that stays on ALL day no problem. The fluidlines are pretty easy to apply once you get the hang of it. I love the little jar they come in, too. It's a little bit pricey, but considering that you only use a tiny bit each application this jar would last me forever! Totally worth the money.

This was my first fluidline, and it replaced Teddy kohl and Bountiful Brown powerpoint as my most frequently reached for eyeliner. On me, this isn't anywhere close to too light, it's a nice rich color. I feel like I can do anything from minimalist to dramatic with it depending on the shadows I pair it with. I agree with everything that has been said about the amazing staying power. I've bought two more fluidlines since buying this one, but this is still my default color.

This is a lovely coppery reddish-brown color. I'm fairly pale with dark blue eyes and medium-brown hair and this really makes my eyes pop. I use it with a MAC 266 brush. It can be kind of tricky at first, if you aren't used to applying it. It takes a little bit of practice. The staying power is awesome. I highly recommend, especially for those with blue eyes.

Best eye liner I have ever used in my entire life. This color is beautiful... Really makes my green eyes stand out and just completely pop. It stays on through the entire day, even through the humid weather and is over all a total life-saver when it comes to putting life into your face without looking made-up, very dependable for those who do not have time to run to the bathroom or are too embarrassed to re-apply make-up in public (like me), because the color stays true until you take it off.

Argh! I really wanted to like this! I got this from the sweetest swapper, but I just can't get it to look right on me. With my light golden complexion, black hair and dark brown eyes, this shows up really red. I can see this color looking really hot on someone with green/hazel/blue eyes with blonde to mid-brown hair, but on me... Sigh! The texture and lasting power are great, though, so I do give it props for that.

While looking for a lucious, antique bronze metalic shadow that would stay on the lid I stumbled accross Rich Ground. Who knew?? Fluidline as a shadow! I had already been using MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack since the day I was first introduced to the product, my HG when it comes to lining and smoking, but this has become a staple in my desert island top five. It's delicious, rich color and budgeproof, waterproof glory, make it an absolute for every eye color, but put it on a green, blue or light brown eye, and Jeepers Creepers! *I use a small amount with a blending brush like a shadow from lash to crease (buffing motion) and to smoke and line lower lash line, and I set it with Nars Mahogany or MAC Heritage Rouge Pigment (I press mine) though not necessary to set at all. I still prefer the punch of Blacktrack on the top lash line as a liner. Top it off with a little soft black pencil on the inside rim and you will turn jungle cat fast .Remember when working with Fluid line, the product dries to a waterproof finish in no time so don't dilly dally, especially when using it as a shadow. I actually had a woman grab me by the arm in a bookstore to insist I was wearing green contact lenses, because she and her friend thought my eyes were too piercing to be my own, and thats just one of many compliments, what an endorsement! *As a Union TV/Film makeup artist, I never endorse any product I do not fully believe in.

I love MAC Fluidlines but this is not one of my favorites. It was too light/bronzey for me. It's a very very pretty color, but I needed something darker to define my dark brown, almost black eyes. I finally got Graphic Brown and I am swapping Rich Ground away.

"Santa" sure was good to me this year! After reading the reviews, I have to admit that I was worried about this fluidline being too 'red'. After the first application, I fell in love. I love this, I will definitely repurchase!

I recently bought this Fluidline for my 28th birthday and was really excited to try it out. I wasn't disappointed! The color is a beautiful, rich, brown/bronze and it really compliments my blue eyes. It seems to be a little softer than other Fluidlines I've tried..so it spreads out and is a little harder to control..but it just takes a little getting used to. The color doesn't show up as much as some of the other ones but I am happy for this...I like the fact that it is subtle. It is about the only color I've found that I can wear on my lower lash-line without it looking trashy on me.
For reference- I'm PPP with brown hair.

Prefer NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils in 'Rust' or 'Bronze' as an e/l. Love the texture. But color doesn't show up well on me. Since already own cream shadow bases in similar shade, returned Rich Ground to Nordstrom. (DDD NW45)

Rich ground is a beautiful reddish-brown shimmery coppery color; I was worried that it would make me look sickly or give me the dreaded red eye look, but it was still wearable. I have hazel-green eyes and am a NC30, with blonde hair. It really makes my eyes look greener! I use this one with taupes, browns, pinks, purples, and greys. Edited: gave this one away; just not enough definition as a liner on my lids, unless I made a thin line of black first. Prefer BE Black Ruby Liner, and this was too reddish near the lid, with my yellow skin tone (NC30) and hazel-green eyes. This didn't make me look bad but wasn't the "wow" I wanted it to be. I also prefer Clinique Black Honey gel liner over this.

This is such a pretty color - metallic bronze - gorgeous! The only problem is, I'm so accustomed to a dark liner, this makes my eyes disappear! I can barely see it up close, so from any distance from a mirror (or other people) I don't look like I have liner on at all. That doesn't mean I won't still wear it anyway, but I do have to put on quite a lot. I will absolutely only wear this for daytime, and will not wear this on picture days. I won't buy this color again, because I will have it forever since I hardly use it, but I do love those fluidlines!

Like all Fluidline liners, this has incredible staying power. I already had Blitz&Glitz and Dip Down. I bought this as a lighter alternative. I wear it under my bottom lashes only, as it does sort of disappear on my top. I'm 1/2 mexican-1/2 Irish and have very dark eyes, yet light skin. I use #206 brush, which I find it easier to apply it with since it is smaller than MAC's regular eyeliner brush. I would buy this again.

I love the texture of MAC fluidlines. These are the only eyeliner i can use w/o creasing or smudging. I have narrow and hazel eyes. Black e/l looks just too harsh. So my staple is blitz & glitz which is a bit softer. I thought i'd give a try at brown e/l and this is what i got from a swap. This is a deep brassy and metallic color. It sort of looked as if it had a red undertone when applied on my eyes. The texture is smooth and rich. I've only had it for 2 days but i can see myself using it just as much as blitz&glitz. I also have WnW liquid e/l in brown and it's sort of a dupe for this one except it's slightly darker and doesn't have the red tone to it. I'm very glad that i swapped for this.

I'm an eyeliner addict and I wear this pretty much every single day. It is everything I want in a liner. I feel awful for cheating on my Stila Copper Smudgepot, but it shouldn't have dried out on me. That will teach it. I haven't really worn it since buying this fluidline.
The texture is unbelievably smooth, the shimmer is consistent and beautiful and it's a neutral enough shade to wear every day. Staying power is good.
I'm definitely buying it again. :)
