Although I haven't tried many skin primers, this is definitely one of my favorites! Makes my skin feel flawless, and makeup application is amazing with it. Makes even some of the worst foundations look better!

This product works wonders for me! I have combination skin and used to have to blot 2-3 hours after I put my make-up. Now I can wait till well after midday!
Weather is not good overhere these days so now I only use it on my T-zone, since my moisturizer already has 15 SPF. I think that will suffice.
When it's sunny, I use it all over my face.
The only thing I truly hate is - like so many others said before - the packaging!

best primer ive ever had! you'll notice how poreless and flawless your skin would look after applying this...since i have an oily face i only wear this on special occasions when i need full coverage make up and long lasting effect....my mom actually just gave this to me because she's currently working in new york and im living here in the philippines. i gave this a 4 rating because it is expensive and i rarely use this because i dont wanna waste it knowing that it would take long before i repurchased again. ;)

This is honestly the best primer i have used (i have converted from Napoleon). Yes it does have a shimmer in it but if thats all you can see on your skin you are most probably using too much of this product.
This primer has made a world of difference to how long my makeup lasts on my face throughout the day, especially my t-zone. It used to appear oily by midday, but now i just barely notice oil well later in the day.
The only annoying thing is the packaging. The fact that it is black makes it impossible to tell how much product you have left.

Terriable primer, full of sparkles which add nothing to the wear just make your face look like a certain emo vampire in the movies. I like to wear light coverage foundation so these retared sparkles don't get covered up. I don't recommend this at all it's expensive and mediocre. I get better results from Revlon, Face of Australia and Models Prefer which all are under $30 at Priceline

This stuff made me break out like crazy after just one use. I usually love mac products but this one did me wrong. I was really disappointed. I don't like the glitter that comes out of it because I can feel it all over my face. I tried using it as an eye shadow primer and it made my eyeshadow smudge within two hours. I don't have oily skin so I'm not really sure why it doesn't work for me. I will not be buying this again.

I just purchased this for $20 at the CCO in Gatlinburg, TN. I mainly use it to create a smoother application of my powder foundation. This is my 6th bottle and I have no complaints!

I've been using this for 3 weeks now and i love it. At first, i put it all over my face but i think my cheeks got irritated. I've got combo skin, oily on the tzone area. From then on, i only put this on my tzone then apply mac studiofix powder. I don't get shiny face anymore until like 6pm which is why im loving it. I will buy again.

I didn't like this product, the workers at MAC pursuaded me into buying it cause I "needed it" It was around $28-$30, It so wasn't worth it. When I used it it made me break out the next day, it made my face flakey, and when I applied my foundation on it it made it flake even more. I tried using it mulitple times it just never worked for me:/ Sadly, I was dissappointed. It was also shimmery, which I didn't like...

This primer is seriously perfect ! The girl at the store gave me a sample and it worked great on me ! Because I have VERY dry skin all around my mouth and eyes .. and oily skin on my T-zone ... It's difficult to find products that works for boths problems ... BUT THIS moisturized my dry skin and kept me away from oily skin ! seriously I would by the real format but I feel like it's too expensive for my budget ... too bad :(

I hate to say it but I totally hate this product :(
I was expecting a lot when I purchased it and after the first use I thought it was a hit. Until I woke up the next morning with a major breakout on my chin and around my nose. At first I figured it could be coincidence but unfortunately, it wasn't. I tried it a few times since and every time I wake up to the sight of zits, redness and clogged pores. I'm almost religious when it comes to skincare and cleansing and I never fall asleep in my makeup so that can't be it.
My main complaints: very slippery to apply, too shimmery, doesn't do anything for my oily t-zone and it clogs my pores like crazy. The only positive thing I can thing of is the packaging... It comes in pump.
Sorry MAC... No lippies this time!

I honestly don't have much to compare this to, considering it's the first primer I have used. It's so hard to base a decision off of a review, so I definitely think everyone needs to try certain products for their own skin types.
With that being said, this didn't do much for my skin. I have dry patches around my mouth/chin area and sometimes on my cheeks. My t-zone gets pretty oily, so I was looking for a primer that wouldn't make my face drier and that would minimize my t-zone oils. I might be asking for too much. But I will definitely keep on looking for this in another primer because this one didn't deliver.
I've used this product twice, and seriously, it's been like, 2 hours since I applied my makeup, and my t-zone is just as oily and shiny as usual. It also seems to make my makeup look a little cake-y in the afternoon.
On the plus side, it hasn't dried me out anymore than usual. And the packaging is nice., The mousse-y consistency feels great, and it does make my skin feel smooth. The girl at the Mac counter suggested this and said if it didn't work out to just return it, which I will be doing. I plan on trying Bare Minerals Prime Time, as I imagine it was probably made with people who use their foundation in mind (and that's my foundation of choice).
I love the idea of a primer and have heard good things about many out there. So I guess, until I find the perfect one, I'll keep searching.

I just purchased this primer from MAC to go with my matchmaster foundation because no other primer worked with the foundation. I don't know why but after using this primer, the foundation just blended so well into my skin! It just looked so flawless. It has a pump so I can control how much I want and its hygienic. It has a mousse like texture so it blends pretty easily. But since I have oily skin I use it very sparingly! I don't think I'll be repurchasing though because of the quantity.

When I first bought this to use with my mac studio fix fluid, the foundation would some how rub the primer off, I would be pulling little dabs of dried primer off my chin. I don't know how it happend, maybe I didn't blend well enough? So I put the primer aside, and just used tinted moisturiser. When it was time to buy a new foundation, I went for the mac mineralized loose powders and skin finish naturals but realized I needed a primer. So Prep+Prime Skin made a huge come back. It made a smooth base for my skin and made my powder foundation last my whole work day. I would like to try other Mac primers, one that focuses on reducing pores.

Awesome product! Works like magic for a reasonably price make up base. Mousse like texture makes it easy to go on. Keep my foundation up for at least 10hrs! Downside is that the shelf life as per bottle is only 6 months.

The girl at the MAC store talked me into this. After using it a few times, my skin was super dry. It literally left me with red, flakey patches. If you are prone to dry skin or have sensitive skin, stay away!

Thought I'd try this when I first got into MAC products. More HYPE then anything.. Doesn't last long, you don't get alot for the price you pay.... SEPHORA has a Better Primer....
Will not Buy again..
Love ya MAC , but if you gave us more for our buck I would repurchace , until then I'll pass.

1)This primer doesn't do anything at all 4 me.
2)Your face feels smooth 4 a few mins and then feels tight and dry and red. I have dry skin so of course its not best 4 my skin.
This is best suited 4 those with oily skin as mac says:)
