Love this toner! It makes your skin tingle, and it really cleans away everything. After I wash my face I use this, and it still picks up traces of my foundation deep in the pores! It's amazing how deep it cleans. I use it midday to remove my oil and it works fabulously. I recommend this. But if you have sensitive skin, be warned. I have acne prone, oily skin, and nothing irritates it. It may sting a bit too much if you're sensitive.

i have repurchased this product a few times and will keep buying it unless i find anything else. i have combination skin with an oily forehead and very mild acne, and i find it works well in reducing the overall oiliness of my face. i think it could dry your face though if your skin type is not oily or combination or acne-prone. i dont use it on my nostrils as i find it dries them and makes them peel. it would sting if you have an open sore.
it definitely helped containing breakouts, but not illiminate them completely. i also use this product on my chest and my back when i see potential bumps forming.
i like the packaging because it allows to use the product up to the absolutely last drop. and it lasts forever

This product works wonders on me. After trying to find more name-brand or more expensive toners on me, they often break me out. This one as simple as it is works.....but it will dry your face out a little if you use too often.

I needed a new toner and anything with salicylic acid usually works for me so I decided to purchase it. BAD IDEA. At first, it worked well, but I started noticing that I would get red bumps on my cheeks and my skin felt drier than usual. I should've bought the sensitive version instead of this one. Anyways, no prob, I gave it to my sibling and there were no bad reactions for him so I guess it depends and varies on the individual.

YES the smell is so strong of alcohol that you feel like passiing when youu open the lid. YES it burns like the depths of hell when you put it on BUT put a dot on a cotton bud and wipe it over a zit and voila! It dries it out in no time. I use it for that and if I get an irritating shaving rash 'down there' and I need it to go pronto. This works exactly like Neutrogena clear pore oil eliminating astrigent. The only difference is that the latter product makes your skin smell like curry. So it's your choice, brewery or curry. You decide.

It's a harsh astringent for oily skin and it seems to be keeping my grease down. I hate the smell though, and will be trying something else when I can't stand it anymore.

I wasn't really expecting to be impressed by this product but I was! I found I had fewer spots and whenever I did get one, it wouldn't stick around as long as it would have. I put some of this on a cotton wool pad and applied it to my face. Don't put it near your eyes and don't use too much. I actually found it help soften my skin and there wasn't any dryness, which I would have expected.

I think it made my red marks stronger! Too strong..too MUCH ALCHOHOL!! Clean skin..YEa..like RAW CLEAN. But stings and although cleans up skin well, wouldn't recommend a more gentle, NOT COMPLETELY GENTLE toner..alcholol base or not. Bad line from CLEAN N CLEAR.

I have never really used an astringent that didn't make my skin feel like sand paper...until now. This stuff has help keep my acne down and my skin less oily without any major dryness. I think that people with really dry skin would be better off with the sensitive skin formula though. I also love this for when I don't feel like washing my face when I wake up in the morning...I just use this instead and my face feels perfectly clean. I use this in conjunction with Pro Activ Renewing cleanser and Clean and Clear Persagel and my skin has never been clearer. I'm amazed after having such awful skin for so long.

It didn't do anything for my acne, but it did make my skin less oily. As mentioned before, the smell is very strong and sometimes makes me feel like I'm about to faint.

I hate you orange astringent!!! This drys drys dryyyyys skin. Beyond recognition. This was the first product I bought when I started breaking out in my teens. It killed the top layer of my skin and it was peeling and super dry. But then the layer below was oily. I dunno how this was? The zits didnt clear up eather:( Also, worse part, the skin on my fingers peeled too. It was so embarassig, especially since I was so little. 13. Like a teen needs this sort of stress, especially when kids at school are so cruel.

This is my secret shame cleanser product. I don't use it very often but sometimes, when I am desperate, I pull it out. I actually _like_ the colour, but the alcohol smell is soooo strong I always cough when I use it. Nonetheless, sometimes I feel my skin needs the "burn"

I really like this product. I does burn a bit, but not for too long. It feels like its doing it's job and my results and proof that it does work. It is too drying to use everyday, but it is also great for controling oil on the face.

Burned like ~NONE OTHER~ the first time I used it.

Didn't seem to do anything about acne ... I think that got worse, actually ... but it cuts through your grease and makes your skin feel cleaner.

HOWEVER, .... bigggg HOWEVER . .....
It makes your fingertips very pruney.
After a 15 min shower, the fingers I used to hold the cotton ball were completely shriveled & i couldnt feel the tips.

thisssss... :S
click for pics

it's been a week or two since I first started using it, and the skin on my fingertips is now flaking off.

Does its job, cleans up excess dirt and oil. But one word: OUCH. Don't use this if you even have slightly sensitive skin.

I bought this product after becoming frustrated with persistent whiteheads and clogged pores on my chin and jawline. I normally use a non salicylic acid toner (like LUSH Tea Tree Water, or Thayer's Witch Hazel), but I needed something stronger for those little bastards. The first time I used it, my face turned beet-red and started to sting, but not in a painful way, and I don't have sensitive skin! After that unfortunate occurrence, I now only use this to spot-treat problem areas, like my chin and forehead at night. (I would use it in the morning if I wanted to look like a tomato!) It's too harsh to use around my whole face, but a good product nevertheless. I will repurchase when I run out (which probably won't be soon, as I use this toner pretty sparingly).

My newest toner find. I've been using it for about 7 days now and I really like it. I prefer it to Sea Breeze Actives (1% salicylic acid), Mary Kay Purifying Freshener 2, and Clinique Toner 2. I have oily skin and I'm in my thirties, so I don't want something burning the heck out of my face. Clinique Toner 3 did that, so I tried Toner 2, and it was okay but nothing great. I used Sea Breeze Actives for a good while, and I liked it a lot, but this is a little more effective in picking up oily residue, left over makeup, removing flakes and tightening pores. I also prefer the scent over the Sea Breeze Actives. Edited: I like this but I can't use it every day, it has overdried my skin and given me more flakes esp. around the chin area. It's very good at removing oil, but my skin is oilier now because it's overcompensating for the dryness. I appparently don't need a toner this strong, all of the time - only occasionally. Going to stick to Sea Breeze Actives for my regular toner.

For some reason, I keep buying this toner again and again, even though it smells kind of bad (just the usual alcohol toner smell), it is an appalling radioactive orange color, and the high alcohol content on occassion burns the heck out of my face. The reason I keep purchasing it (I am probably on my 8th bottle by now) is that whenever I stop using it, I get blackheads, even if I am using something with equivalent ingredients. For example, last month I tried the super-expensive PTR pads, which have alcohol and 2% salicylic, just like the Clean & Clear, PLUS glycolic, yet I still got blackheads! I have no idea why Clean & Clear is so effective at keeping my pores unblocked, but I'll take it.
