I have been getting professional Jessner peels that do wonders for my skin and yes, actually make it peel, which this OTC product does not. However, if you're looking for a quick fix for your skin, this really delivers on that front for me between real peels. I do think that this is the best OTC drugstore "peel"product on the market, far exceeds Neutrogena's version. It does temporarily make the superficial most layers of the skin shed the dead stuff and smooths the surface. However, by no means a replacement for professional peels.

i had a great experience with this product. my skin is probably best described as normal, and not overly sensitive - i would hesitate to recommend this product to anyone with very sensitive skin. but i used it every three days or so and could see results after the first treatment. my skin was noticeably smoother, reflecting light, and clearer than before. i will definitely buy it again.

I was not impressed with this product at all. I guess the best thing it does is leave your face softer. It doesn't do much for fine lines or blackhead or anything really. I don't even feel it tingle so I'm not sure it is working. I guess I will try Avon's peel next since I didn't like Neutrogena's.

I have never done a chemical peel before, so I don't know what to expect from an OTC one. That said, I am majorly pleased with the outcome of what I have seen. So far I have used this kit twice. The first time I left this on for four minutes, and have noticed no difference whatsoever. Months later, I used this again, and this time left it on for five minutes. I felt the burning and stinging sensation this time around, and continued to be so for the next 7 days. However, after the 7 days, my skin was positively glowing. It softens my slight wrinkles a bit and generally just cleared and refined my skin tone a bit. I can see the results and this is better than what I had expected. I paid $20 at Target for this when it was on sale, and I definitely would recommend this. If you are looking into buying this, do some research. I hear that Avon makes are very good one as well, and when I finish this, I will probably try that one. I don't know when I'll finish this though; the instruction says that this is best used every other month. Since there's 8 applications in each kit, this will take 16 months to finish up?

I'm not really a drugstore gal but was sick one day and went in to get some cold medicine and picked this up for a sick day activity. I must tell you, I really love it. No it doesn't preform miracles but still has made some changes. I have used about 4 times (you use twice a week for a month) and everytime I use it my skin is glowing after and I have noticed my light brown spots getting a little lighter. A nice gentle glycolic treatment that does a nice job exfoliating w/o any irritation. Would buy again for sure!

I was pleasantly surprised with this product. After debating between this and the Microdermabration kit, I decided on this and have no regrets! I have oily, acne-prone skin and am hesitant to use new products. The peel itself is left on for 5 minutes, I had no problems with burning. You then apply a neutralizer and then rinse. I was also a little scared of the last step, the moisturizer, clogging my pores, but after a few months of using it I can report no problems!! I do not have a reduction in the size of my pores, but my skin has been clearer, brighter and glowing. I had little red lines by my nose for some reason before, and they have started fading since I started using this. Obviously this is nothing compared to what you'd get at a derms office-it's a much lower concentration of the peel-for it's worth the $15 for me and I plan to keep this as part of my skin care routine. This is the first L'Oreal skincare product I've liked!

I really like this product. I have been using it once a week for four weeks and feel that my skin is much more even toned and smoother. It has also gotten rid of light breakouts. I don't think it does much for wrinkles though. The pores on my nose are smaller!
Its pretty expensive, about $25 but you can always find a coupon. But salon peels are much more expensive and I think this product gives you a lot of results for your money.

I didn't expect anything more than a light exfoliation from this product, but plain cleanser and water gives better results. The peel itself did not burn or sting, however, the perfumes in the lotion irritated my skin. Can't recommend this to anyone.

Not a "miracle" product, but easy to use and a great skin refresher...kind of cleans up the surface of your skin so that it looks healthier.

Although I still have two treatments left, I doubt that those two will change my mind about this product. Generally this is an ok treatment. My skin seems a little more glowy and resiliant. But overall, those were not the results I was looking for. I was hoping that it would help even out my skin tone a bit. I don't feel that I have wasted my money, but this product is not something that I need to repurchase. In terms of at home glycolic peels I much prefer Avon's 2 step.

It's generally a nice product. I used it for a month as directed. My skin felt very soft & smooth, and a red broken capillary spot faded a tiny bit, but that's all this really did for me. No change in my blackheads or anything. I use MD Forte cleanser II, so maybe my skin needs something stronger for me to see real results. Will be trying the Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Peel next.

I'm on my second month of using this. The biggest difference I've noticed in my skin is the appearance of the pores to the sides of my nose. They look much smaller/less noticeable. My skin feels smoother and firmer.
The directions recommend that you use it up to twice a week, every other month. I've been obedient, even though I really wanted to continue into the next month. I did cheat a bit, I guess- February only had 28 days. I started my second box on the first day of March.

I really really love this product. It left my skin much smoother and more translucent without the use of harsh abrasives. I prefer this product over the Micro-Dermabrasion. I will definitely repurchase again.

This is the best at-home "peel" I have ever tried. I am also a long time veteran of professional peels that really peel. Let's be honest, no otc product, including this one is really going to solve your deep skin problems. This will only get the most SUPERFICIAL surface problems, but will not be helpful for deep discolorations or wrinkles. If this stuff REALLY got rid of your true skin problems, it would put all doctors and estheticians out of business, not going to happen! That being said, I feel this is good for maintainance between professional peels. Believe me, I've had them all: eight Jessner peels that make your skin come off in sheets, an Obagi which temporarily makes you unpresentable, as it really really hurts and peels to a perfect skin. I have also had four glycolics, professional strengths are between 30% and 70% and even at that level, didn't make me peel. So, with this mere 10% formula, don't expect miracles. However, for what it is, it DOES leave your skin fresher looking and very smooth better than other peels I've tried otc. As long as you don't have any unrealistic expectations with this, it is a great revitalizer and superficial resurfacer, but that's it. Would buy again to use between peels that truly make my skin peel and do something besides a quick fix for my skin.

This does for my skin what a harsh scrub does without scrubbing sand paper like products on my skin.
Love this.
I used the extra on the heels of my dry peeling feet. Worked like a charm! I am hooked.

First off, I have super oily skin and am acne prone. I can report NO breakouts or over oiliness! now with my review....
I am hooked!!!!!!!!! I have never used a peel before just microderm. I have finished my first month of using this and it's awesome! You clean your face with your cleanser, apply the glycolic for 5mins or less if that's all you can take (if stinging starts and it's unconfortable you will want to stop and go to the next step), next you do the neutralizer and splash your face with cold water, finally you apply the rebalance moisturizer. For the oil skin gals the moisturizer might scare you but have no fear when you awake your skin will be back to normal. You do the peel at night about 2x a week. It comes with the pads to do all the steps.
You must read the directions before using this product because there are some restrictions like not using this within 24 hours of a scrub. If you have sensitive skin DO NOT USE!!
I had fine lines on my forehead and this has helped soften them. My face is smoother and has a beautiful glow. This did help with my acne scars by making them lighter. I did not see a HUGE difference with my pores just a small difference. Overall, I prefer this over a microderm. You will notice some dry skin (even if you are super oily like me) A simple gentle rub with a wet wash cloth will take care of the dryness. You will want to use a good moisturzer day and night when using this product. The dryness is simply your skin removing the dead skin cells.
I will be on my second month in March. It says for best results use every other month. After my second month I will update.
please forgive me for typos and such I typed this fast.

Picked this up on a whim, and am VERY pleasantly surprised. I'm hooked on OTC peels and such, and found this one to be one of the best I've ever tried. Results are tangible. After first peel, skin had that clean, shiny-fresh look I ususally get only after facials. And it easily stacks up to any of the peels I've ever had done in the spa (I've had microderm at the Dr., but never a peel). I'd say results also stack up to 1x microderm treatment.
I like this better than the MD Skincare pads, which--while easy to use--never really got very deep.
This product stings, but in a good way--like it's working.
Overall, big thumbs up.

Let me start by saying that I've never used a peel before and I can't compare it to any others, but I've used this peel 4 times and LOVE what it has done for the condition of my skin! I didn't buy this to help with fine lines (but if it helps, that would be an added bonus), I got this to even out my blotchy skin tone. I have some areas on my lower cheeks and forehead where there are what look like large freckles. This peel has done wonders to fade them...I suspect that when I've finished the other 4 treatments, they will be almost invisible. A day without foundation? Say it isn't so! ;-)
The peel comes with 8 small vials of glycolic solution, a large container of neutralizer and a tube or 'rebalancing' moisturizer. Directions are easy--put the contents of the solution on one of the included cotton pads, spread it on your face, wait the desired time and then using another pad with the neutralizer on it, wipe your face again to stop the peeling action, then rinse face, pat dry and use the moisturizer.
The recommended time max is 5 minutes. Because I didn't know how my skin would react, I started with 3 minutes. No noticeable "peeling" over the next couple of days-but the moisturizer stings. My skin immediately felt smoother and looked brighter. Several days later, I did the peel again, this time moving to 4 minutes. Again, no noticeable peeling or dryness, but the condition of my skin still looked better. The 3rd and 4th peel, I moved up to the full 5 minutes. Still no "peeling" but my skin was a bit flakey in some areas lasting for a couple of days, and the dark spots have faded dramatically.
This has done wonders for my complexion, makeup goes on smooth and I've gotten asked by 2 co-workers: "What are you doing? Your skin looks great!"
I got mine at Target for $22--so just under $3 dollars for each of the 8 treatments. Completely worth it for me, I will definitely buy this again!
