Fruit plus Pleasures = Pleasures Exotic. It's not bad at all, not for me, I get bored once it becomes Pleasures on my skin (which happens in less than an hour, and then it fades completely in less than 2).
I'd definitely recommend this to someone who loves the original, because it does turn into that scent, and pretty quickly.
I can't give this a 4 because while it's not a bad scent, it's not my preference, but it's better than most perfumes I'd give a 3 to.

Does anyone remember Calyx? Or Calvin Klein's "Escape?" This one reminds me of a blend of those two fragrances, although it's not as warm as Escape and not as cloyingly fruity as Calyx. I still prefer the crisp and cleaner floral scent of Pleasures Original to this one.

This is not very similar to EL Pleasures. I can definitely pick up the mango and grapefruit in the beginning with amber and tropical florals in the background. A tropical fruity, green floral that just does not do anything for me.

I have the oil because it was $20 cheaper than the fragrance, but has more coverage (IMO). It smells citrusy (grapefruity) and light. I LOVE IT. It smells the best on my body.

I tried this on in the store and it started out great but started to wane after about hour. I don't think it has the staying power that I like from a fragrance. It is an exotic/tropical blend of scents and could be a good fragrance if it lasted longer. I agree with the person who commented that EL fragrances don't seem to be made as well as they used to be. I used to love White Linen and tried that as well recently and it was not the same. I wonder if they have reformulated some of their products.

When I first sampled Pleasures Exotic at the EL counter, I was totally smitten. I found it a much more playful and lively alternative to the original Pleasures, and promptly ordered a bottle online from a fragrance discounter.

However, this purchase was during the beginning of my tropical fragrance infatuation. Since buying PE, I've found and purchased more enticing scents. I find Lancome's Tropiques from their Collection Voyage to be far superior to PE with not only a much more juicy and fruity combination of top notes, but the underlying floral dry down isn't quite as heady and strong, which complements the fruits perfectly.

Pleasures Exotic still has a place in my collection for now, but I suspect that once the bottle's gone, I will be moving on to more succulent tropical concoctions. It's pretty and it was great for a time, but I think our brief and intense romance might be fading. It is inoffensive, and does have fantastic lasting power and a pretty dry down. It also works surprisingly well in both warm and cool months. There's nothing truly off-putting about it, but it isn't quite as breath-taking as I had originally thought. I'm still on the prowl for a perfectly fruity tropical fragrance, and oh, what a fun journey it is.

Top Notes: Mango Passion Fruit Cocktail, dewy Green Leaves, juicy Pink Grapefruit, Orange and Lemongrass.
Middle Notes: Island Bamboo Flowers. Hibiscus Flowers, Orangeblossom, Lychee, Cassis, Bougainvillea Vine, Peony, Green Leaves, Rose Petals, Baie Rose.
Dry Down: Indian Sandalwood, Amber,Violet Woods.

smells like rotten papaya. when a papaya is too ripe is smells kinda pungent. this strays very far away from the original pleasures. original pleasures is beautiful and soft, pleasures intense has more depth to it more character and this one is just unmemorable.

I like the original Pleasures, but Pleasures Exotic has a wonderful green opening that is a nice change from the usual floral. I didn't buy it yet, but I will--or swap for it--anyone have a bottle up for swap?

Not the worst fragrance I've ever smelled, but one that I have gotten tired of. Initally when it is sprayed, it's kind of a floral scent, like it's big sister, "original pleasures" but with a bit of a tropical bite to it. When I first sampled it at Macy's, I was quite intrigued by how unique it was, and loved the undertones of grapefruit, etc. Very refreshing! Indulging myself, I bought the smallest bottle they had. However, upon wearing it for a longer time, it breaks down to a wierd bitter smell that lasts. (That is usually a plus for a fragrance, but in this case...)
I wish I had noticed it before I bought it, and I am quite disappointed with my purchase due to how it breaks down on me. Maybe it's just my body chemistry, but I wanted to put my 2 cents in. One compliment for it: The bottle and packaging are absolutely beautiful!

Definately a tropical delight. A sparklng blend of exotic fruits and flowers. It reminds me of spring/summer and is truely a very wearable smell that lifts your mood instantly with one spritz. I highly recommend.

I really liked this perfume when i was trying it on in the duty free..original Pleasures is my staple perfume, but this one was a disappointment for me. This perfume smells too soapy for me, and unfortunately I got tired of this smell in about 2 weeks and gave it away.

There are very few mid-range counter fragrances that truly impress me enough to review -- and Estee Lauder Pleasures Exotic is a rare exception. Not only is it counter, but EL Pleasures Exotic is ... a flanker! (Tisk Tisk!) This flanker is stunning! It's crisp, clean, lush, green, tropical freshness --- a little salt -- a little gritty sand -- a platter full of ripe juicy passionfruits and lush green bamboo blossoms. It's a paradise island vacation in a bottle! This is so good it should come with a cabana boy, fresh towels and never ending supply of sunscreen. This is what I wanted Beyond Paradise to be -- this is what it should of been. Whomever created this one -- really needs applause and admiration. I bow to the west for this flanker.

I rarely buy department store fragrances because so many of them smell the same to me (I like boutique-y stuff alot) but THIS... I couldn't leave this behind after sampling. I dont't even care for the original Pleasures. Something in it smells way to strong and makes my nose feel like it's burning. But anyways, Pleasures Exotic is a LOVELY tropical floral. I got MANGO, not peaches. I am a huge fan of mangoes and lychee, which I used to eat alot in the summers, so this scent smelled very familiar and yummy to me in the beginning, and then the floral aspect makes it a little more grown-up, as opposed to being too fruity and juvenile. The dry-down is very much like the essence of "just after a shampoo". I kept catching whiffs of my hair and wondering what smelled a bit like white musk (clean, soft, sensual) and realized it was the dry-down of this perfume after I had sprayed my hair a few hours earlier. This does indeed make me feel "exotic" when I wear it too.

While I absolutely adore the fragrance like so many other EL fragrances it is not long lasting. EL ought to be ashamed of themselves the way they have cheapened a lot of their products from skincare, makeup, & perfume. I believe they're living off of their world renowned name but like so many other companies the quality is no longer there. When I use this within 20 minutes the fragrance has disappeared making me spray, & spray again. Perhaps this is their way of getting you to hurry up & use the product up so you'll repurchase. Wonderful fragrance if you don't mind the fading ability.

This fragrance is reminiscent of drinking bellinis on a sidewalk café with a vase of rare flowers on the table. Much warmer than the original Pleasures. Pretty good staying power, too (but unfortunately, it doesn't hang around as long as a codependent boyfriend). I'm thrilled it's become one of Estée Lauder's 'keeper' fragrances. Every time I put it on, I feel as if I'm drenched in sunshine. I know a lot of women prefer this as a spring/summer scent, but I like it in the cooler months, too, because it reminds me that sweet, warm weather will return. I'm a 'fume junkie, and as far as Lauder's scents go, this one, IMHO, wins - hands down.

I love this fragrance. The smell is very nice and light - great for day use. It has a bit of tropical fruit smell to it too, which I love. I've been using this everyday, only about 30% left, I'll finish the whole bottle (which I don't always do). The only reason I'm not buying this again is bc I love trying on new fragrance every year.

This is a fresh slightly fruity floral. There's a definite light peach note to it which differentiates it from the original Pleasures. It's an unobtrusive, just stepped out of the shower scent and though it's not strong enough for my bf to comment on I think I will be wearing it regularly this spring/summer.

This to me, is a straight floral scent which is very pretty, but I just prefer a bit more depth and warmth in my perfume. The guy I was seeing used to like it, and it was the only one of the perfumes I'd worn around him that he commented on as soon as I walked in the door (wore Narcisso Rodriguez and SJP Lovely most other times - which I find very similar anyway) This is my fave out of the Pleasures range so far. Although Pleasures does grow on me after a while on my skin, but can't do this too often cos I get a reaction (like with all perfumes). And Pleasures Intense gives me bad eczema after a few minutes of spraying it on my skin!

Lovely scent! Smells like the original Pleasures fragrance mixed with peaches. Soft, gentle, mellow peach scent dries down to an even softer, soapy green-floral. There is more peach in the beginning, but after it dries down there is still a lingering hint of peach. Very soft and lovely! 5 lippies!
