What is the point to this "cult" product.
Your fingers end up sticky, it doesnt magically heal things, fluff sticks to it in your handbag, it doesn't even smell nice or have SPF.

I'm a lip balm addict, can't go long without it. And I'm fussy. This stuff is so moisturising and don't even need to apply it that often. I've used it on my nose when I have a cold, on a dried out spot. It smells verm very mild of caramel. Will repurchase for a long time.

I cannot live without pawpaw ointment. It is the BEST lip balm I have ever used, and apply it every night before bed,and wake up to smooth soft lips. I also put some on in the morning while doing my morning routine, and slightly blott it off before my lipstick application. Makes my lips soft and lovely, and they never crack since using this. I also apply some to my lashes each night to keep them soft, strong and moisurised...and it works to keep them lush and healthy!
I keep some in the medicine cabinet too for cuts, grazes, dry skin, eczema outbreaks, bug bites or stings, rashes etc.... This is a tip I learned from working in a medical centre, where the doctors supply cupboard is always home to paw paw ointment for various applications. Great for really dry skin,as sometimes my hands get so dry in cold weather, the skin splits and cracks. Paw paw ointment to the rescue once again! A good heel balm for smoother heels as well.
Arrrggg! Too many applications to mention! Love this Aussie wonder! My HG balm. Better than EA eight hour cream in my opinion, much nicer smell, especially for lip usage, and much much cheaper! Bargain... Love!

Prepare for the Papaw revolution! I tried this from some Aussie friends in September and it's been showing up everywhere since. It's got a lot of petroleum jelly in it, I think, though while the latter leaves a film on my lips that feels like plastic, my Papaw really moisturizes. I've used a lot of different products, including EA eight hour cream and EOS balms. NOTHING comes close to my Papaw.
Amusing story: My Aussie friends were visiting and we went out dancing. And the whole lot of us were on the dance floor, applying Papaw, quite liberally, when we found that UV lights made it light up. Not quite the look we'd been going for :p

My hubby also uses this on his hands, he has extremely dry skin and hates applying any lotion/ cream (Guys!!):)
but he applies this daily and it has done wonders....Its my HG product..... :)

I use this, and will keep buying it, but I can't say I think it's quite as amazing as everyone else seem to! It is very like vaseline, as a number of people have pointed out. I think it does have something extra, hence why I don't just use vaseline, but it's not THAT much better. It's pretty cheap here in New Zealand (possibly the one product that is actually cheaper here!) so it's worth it for the price.
I use this mainly as a lip balm and to rub into very dry skin, like on my feet. Also I sometimes get dry and irritated skin around my eyes (just under the brow) in cold weather - I find it really helps to dab this on. I know you wouldn't normally use something this thick as an eye cream, but I just use a little bit and it doesn't seem to do any harm.
My younger brother was on serious acne medication for a while and found this Lucas Paw Paw the most useful thing for putting on his super dry skin. Not just lips, but whole face.

I lived in oz for a semester when I was in college...and that's when my love for this product began. I lived on campus at the university of Queensland, and literally every single girl had this on hand in the dorm--I remember teasing one of my friends at first for having a product with the word "ointment" in her bag. Seemed a bit suspect, til she handed me the papaw to put on my lips. I brought back heaps of tubs and tubes to give as gifts, and even ended up giving one to my boyfriend (who i have never known to use a single product in my entire life...but he freaking loved "that red stuff" as he called papaw.) my mom, my roomie, and I all I swear by it, and I would absolutelyyyy buy it again if I ever visited Australia again, le sigh. Until then, I am finding that A+D ointment (yes, the stuff that is meant for babies,) is equally amazing, and a much cheaper alternative to the shipping costs of papaw or its more well-known competitor, aquaphor.

I love Lucas' Papaw Ointment. It's easy to use and works wonders for dry, chapped lips. You can also use it for burns, boils, chafing, cuts and rashes.

I absolutely love this. If I'm having ANY skin issue, I can put this on and it'll make it better. It is so multi-use and by far the best lip balm ever, it actually moisturises unlike many lip balms I've tried. If I have a pimple, burn, insect bite, cut or have any risk of skin infection I'll put this on and it prevents infection, helps with healing and makes it better fast. I also put this on my lips every night in bed so I wake up to soft lips ready for gloss, lip butter, lip stick etc, this preps them well. An extra trick I found is to use this as an eyeshadow primer. It seems strange that something emollient as this would actually work as that but it definitely does. It's by far the best eyeshadow primer I've used. All you do is grab the tiniest amount and apply over lids just so they are a bit tacky, then follow with dry eyeshadow, it intensifies the colour of eyeshadows like nothing I've ever seen and make them stick/not crease for hours and hours and apply smoothly. Being such a gentle product it also does not irritate my eyes at all. Absolutely wonderful!
This is HG, natural, Australian made and cheap and I could not be without it!

I love this stuff! I use it everyday to make sure my lips are always nourished and moisturised. It works so well.
Not only can it be used for dry, chapped lips, its other uses include: for use on boils, burns, chafing, cuts, cracked skin, gravel rash, splinters, open wounds, insect bites & nappy rash. So really it's a multipurpose ointment :)
Definitely a 10/10!

A great product but with very few purposes - treating burns or chapped lips. It's a good, cheap alternative to Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream. Applying this for two consecutive nights completely re-hydrates my lips, even in the middle of winter.

My husband who is Australian got me hooked onto this product. We have His and Hers tubes! My lips tend to get quite dry and so pawpaw cream is a fixture in my handbag. It's a multipurpose product; my husband uses it around his nose to ease painful cracks after an allergy outburst; I use it for chapped lips and dry cuticules; also good for sore spots from wearing shoes that rub; and the list goes on. What I especially like about this is that unlike a tin of vaseline, this comes in a handy tube. Bacteria is one thing to be concerned about but I have also experienced difficulty in prising off lids on vaseline tins. I love this and it's proudly Australian made!

HG for sure!! I have quite plump lips that get dry and cracked and I hate most lip balms because they're not moisturizing enough or are too slippery and wet looking, this is very soothing, very moisturizing and is not glossy...and of course it's a multi use ointment! What could be better? Easily the best balm I've used on my lips.

This is an overrated product. I purchased it because I have seen so many people using it and thought it must be good. But it basically feels like Vaseline on my lips with little to no benefit.
In fact, this prooduct caused my lips to crack and it took weeks to restore them.
It doesn't contain any sun protection and is basically oil, so itsn't it like frying your lips in the sun??

I don't understand the hype of this product... I've seen many girls putting this on their lips and a lot of them swear by using this, I don't really see it. I've tested this out for a week and it's very average, my trusty chapstick was a lot better, in my opinion and it smelled better. I've been testing this out on my burns but I haven't seen an improvement yet, I'll give it another week or so.
I don't like the packaging... I thought it was pretty cool how you open it with the triangle dent on the cap but I wish that there were instructions on the packaging because I was trying to open it with scissors, knives, tweezers until I finally gave up and looked it up. I wish that it showed the ingredients on the tube, as well. I've heard that it is 99% petroleum jelly and 1% paw paw so wtf? I could've gotten a jar of vaseline for less than $5.
The smell is horrible. I really hate it. If you really like using this stuff on your lips, use it at night unless you like the smell... It's just, ugh.
P.S. Since it's mostly petroleum jelly DO NOT use this on your face! Petroleum jelly has mineral oil which can lead to acne!
I wont be purchasing this product again.

As most have already said, this is a great all purpose ointment for all sorts of skin issues and definately a wonderful lip balm, especially those with very dry or chapped lips. I really wish they could turn this into the kind of lip balm where in the tube you can just screw it up or down and apply it without your fingers for hygenic purposes but this has never stopped me from using it. Great product.

Everyone should have one of these, i have so many of these lying around at home, in my bag, in the car and in my room. This is awesome, its a multipurpose ointment that relieves and cleanses. I mainly use it for my lips and keeps them hydrated, whenever i have a dry patch on my skin, insect bites etc. This is a must have. Its awesome. Many people hate the scent. But im obsessed with it. hahah smells great. Love it better than Vaseline.

This is a good, basic moisturising product, lip balm, nappy rash treatment etc. However, I have always wondered why the ingredients aren't listed on the container. When you look online to see the ingredients, you find that it contains pharmaceutical grade petroleum jelly.

It's 5 bucks a tube and lasts forever! In winter when you have chapped lips, this will help. There was also this one time when I was trying to remove my eyeliner and didn't have any makeup remover. Someone said Vaseline works but I didnt have any so I grabbed some of this and smeared. Using a cotton pad, I wiped it off and voila! My makeup was removed. It's really a 500-in-one product that can fix cracked skin and minor injuries. I love :D
