Very nice classic lilac colour, with a bit of shimmer to it but without being glittery. It can create a nice subtle, pretty colour of you apply it lightly, or quite a striking look if you build it up. If you like lilac/purple shadows I think this is one you should have.

LOVE this color so much! It doesn't have the pay off I'd like, which is why I took a lippie off. But the color is gorgeous. I have extremely fair skin and hazel brown/green eyes. It definitely pops on my skin tone and really accentuates the green in my eyes. Lovely sheen as well. If you don't mind layering this product on, it's a great buy! (I like to use it on top of Warm and Cozy shadestick.)

I adore this eyeshadow! I purchased it to have some purple in my collection but didn't start using it until recently. I have very blue eyes and this eyeshadow paired with a darker purple makes them pop! I took off a lippie because I find it a little sheer and have to pack on the eyeshadow to get the colour I want. But its a really nice purple to have in a collection - I highly recommend and will definitely repurchase!

Pale and somewhat pastel-like lavender. Most beautiful, soft lavender I've come across in the eye shadow world. I like to pair it with Quarry, what a pretty combo. Beautiful Iris looks lovely on my skin, making my blue eyes stand out more. I do have to use quite a bit of product to get the prettiest lavender effect, you can't just dip your brush in Beautiful Iris once and get the color pay-off. Will definitely repurchase.

This pale lavender colour is gorgeous! You do have to pack it on for it to show up. It's a pale colour but I think that's what makes this colour so beautiful. I think it was meant to be a pale colour otherwise the gorgeous sheen in it will not show. And I really think MAC made the colour payoff the way it is on purpose. Perhaps it should be labelled as a Satin eyeshadow and not VP. Regardless I'll definitely repurchase! :)

Such a lovely colour! It's perfect becuz it's not in-your-face but it's also fun. Colour payoff is next to none, but I use Rubenesque paintpot under it and it makes the colour look like what it does in the pan. It's kind of a pain in the butt cuz you gotta take time to really pack it on, but the colour is too gorgeous to resist.

This eye shadow is really sheer and hardly shown on my lids. No matter how much I apply, it doesn't do anything. It went into the bottom of my drawer straight away. Last week, it came up to the top after I re-organised my drawers. I grabbed it and said to myself, why not give it another try. This time, I used a light purple base and the result is good enough for a office look. I have been reaching it for the week since. Still not great, but at least it's not totally useless.
From other reviewers, this eye shadow seems to work well on fair skin color but not so well on medium or dark skin.

Even though it's purple, this shadow somehow manages to look natural. It's quite sheer, so maybe that's why. It's a lightish lavender colour, not too blue or pink. I'm asian and a lot of purples can end up looking dull and bruise like on me, especially under artificial lighting. This stays fairly true without screamng "purple". I will wear it but the search goes on for something that's more .. purple.

I had my eye on Beautiful Iris for a long time. Its a really pretty lavender. It goes on quite sheer but easy to build up.

Beautiful Iris is a pretty light lavender purple that is perfect for creating purple eye looks. It makes a good all over lid color and it looks great with all eye colors and skin colors in my opinion. It's not as pigmented as I would like it to be, but with a good base like a paint pot or a shadestick it will show up.

The color of this eyeshadow is pretty (lavender/light purple) and looks very good on me, however, the problem is that this eyeshadow simply doesn't show up!! If it looked only the way it looks on the pan... but once you put it on your lids, the color payoff is soo extremely poor, even if you apply it extremely heavily (as heavily as possible) the color will be pretty poor and unnoticeable. It also has a matte-ish finish, not what veluxe pearls are supposed to look like at all!! I can't believe MAC is selling eyeshadows that are as crap quality as this one, can't they just make a purple eyeshadow that shows up and with a nice texture??

This is a really pretty purple that showed up great when I swatched it at the store. On my lids its really really really sheer so I have to really pack it on. I probably would not buy it again due to the sheerness of this product.

I hate to be the odd one out but this colour, even though it is a gorgeous lavender (blue toned) purple, it just didn't do anything for my dark brown eyes. Probably because there was no colour pay off. I layered and layered and layered and when looking from a distance it looks like I have nothing on, but when closer and in the white light, the beautiful colour shows up very faintly. I even tried it over a base thinking perhaps then the colour will show through and i still had this problem. I'm quite disapponted with this and wish it had more of a colour pay off because it's the perfect puprle e/s (for me). I do like the texture and the fact that it doesn't have the obvious 'in your face' type of glitter/shimmer. i like this colour so much that I'll continue to slather this on as much as i can to make the colour show. As for repurchasing it, it depends on whether I get sick of layering this on (as it's time consuming) but most likely I wouldn't be repurchasing it.

Beautiful Iris is like 3 eyeshadow in one. I was debating whether to get digit, beautiful iris or crystal but got B/I. Over a white matte base B/I turns into digit e/s and over a white shimmery base you get crystal e/s and over a lavender base, you get the beautiful iris!. Its a really pretty lilac colour with bluish purple iridescence and a great lid colour to pair with purples, plummy browns and taupes.

Beautiful lavender shade - perfect for accentuating green eyes! Although the color looks quite flamboyant in the pan, I found it to be ideal for creating a natural, non-make-up-look on fair girls like me. My favorite nude look: bisque as base, blanc type as highlighter, quarry in the crease and beautiful iris on the lid. Finally I draw a fine line on upper lash line with a wet brush dipped in beautiful iris and slightly smudge with a coat of MACs naked pigment. Add brown mascara and some liquid blusher in a rosy shade and you`ll look incredibly fresh and young without a trace of your endeavors to do so.

This was my first MAC shadow, and I am still in love with it to this day. The color is so nice and works on any skin tone. I love the color, the finish, and the pigmentation. Recommend to anyone.

This is one of my favorite purples from MAC. It is a very light pale purple. I agree that you have to pack on the color. But I think the color is beautiful. This is a great color for all over the lid, then adding sketch or shadowy lady to crease or outer V. Look is absolutely beautiful!! Def a must try. I think it would look great on every skin tone.

it's a pastel purple with a very subtle violet/blue sheen. i really like highlighting my tearduct with this eyeshadow (if it matches with the other e/s of course LOL). it's great as a wash as well and doesnt require much for the slight lavender to show up. so pretty.
it's such a nice color!
