I don't have Naval Blue so I can't compare but I like this pigment MUCH more than Cornflower. Cornflower is much more purple compared to Blue Storm, and the texture of this pigment is much smoother. I have some plans for designing a makeup for Halloween that this will come in handy for :) There's a pic in my gallery of some pigment swatches on skin if you want to see the application difference between Blue Storm and Cornflower.

I wouldn't ever buy this again because I woudln't need to. Blue Storm is a beautiful navy blue color with hints of purple iridesence. Cornflowers much bluer and older sister. It actually looks better when i used a finger to rub it on my hand than when i use a brush to sweep it on my eye. the purple iridesence disappears with the brush, so i just pat it on my eyelid. still a beautiful color, especially for browneyed girls.

If I'm going to be honest, this looked like the color of a bruise when I tested it on my hand. I don't have access to Pro stores, so I bought it b/c I like navy blue as a liner, having heard of the comparisons to Naval Blue. I use it on my lower lid with Freshwater in the crease and a bit of Violet Piggie in the outer V. It's always worth the price to me and I'm a sucker for anything LE.

Ok I think enough people described the shade. I purchased this yesterday because I was excited a new pigment came out... when I purchased it I was pretty sure it looked like Naval Blue but I had high hopes that I would try it and that it would look *different*...well my hopes were crushed. It looks EXACTLY like Naval Blue (tested it both wet & dry side-by-side). So if you do not have access to Pro pigments, then go for it...but if you already have Naval Blue... don't bother. Aside from the comparison, it is a nice shade and quite versitile. You get a ton of product for your $$.

I was disappointed in this. It is almost identical to Naval Blue. in fact, i cant tell the difference. I thought this was going to be a blackened blue but it is really close to Naval Blue. Has the same purple irridescence to it when you sheer this out. Very shimmery cobalt hint of navy blue. Pretty color but you dont need it if you have Naval Blue. Retails for 18.50 and comes in a small jar without sifter top.

I like this pigment, however, I was a little disappointed. I was expecting the blue color that the girl in the ad was wearing. This is a mix of Naval Blue, Cornflower and a little black pigment. I probably could have mixed those 3 myself and got this same thing. Too close to naval blue. If you dont own Naval, get blue storm. If you already own Naval, dont waste your time. Overall, this is a pretty pigment with a good texture (like the original pigments).

This is a beautiful smoky blue with beautiful sheen. I was slightly disappointed, however, because it is so similar to naval blue. On my skin they look almost identical...blue storm is a touch darker/deeper. The deepness gives it a little more personality imo, but I definitely wouldn't recommend having them both!!!

This is the newest pigment from MAC
I find it a bit silkier than some of the other pigments, it goes on smooth and shiney. It's a deep charcoly blue that makes a hot smokey eye! If Deep Truth and Stroke of Midnight had a love child this would be it!! Except it would be a shinier lovechild! Looks great
