I have super-dry, super-thick, curly/wavy hair and I LOVE this conditioner. I'm on the CG routine and was trying to break my habit of expensive conditioners - it's hard to find something with enough moisture for my hair. This stuff is like spreading cream frosting on your mane! It smells good too, though the smell doesn't last. I wash with cheapie conditioner 2-3 times a week and condition with this. Slather it on, let it sit while I shave my legs, then rinse. My coarse, wiry hair is shiny and lush since I started using Honeysuckle Rose. A++ and cheap enough as a little goes a long way!

Agree with the previous review. Excellent hydration BUT unless you need major moisture, use this 1x a week. Leaves hair shiny and manageable. Don't be confused with the Rose Marquetta products. They are completely different and not as hydrating.

Nice deep treatment conditioner to use 1x weekly. I'm not sure I would use this everyday. I didn't smell the fragrance until my hair started to air dry. I thought it was a light fragrance and not over powering.

Seems to work okay, but the smell is what got me. It's way too strong, and you'll walk around all day giving yourself a headache from this conditioner! Maybe I'm just overly sensitive to scents.

I have dry, wavy/curly, medium thick hair. I wanted to go cone free, but nothing worked to keep my hair moisturized. I was very hesitant to pay $12 for this at Whole Foods, but I went ahead since all the reviews I've read were raving this product. It wasn't until I saw at my local Vitamin Shoppe that they sell it for $8.50. I'll buy it there next time.

This conditioner smells beautifully, in my opinion. It reminds me of walking in a summer day. The directions says to shake, but the product is so thick, that it can not be shaken. It comes out very thick and white. With my drenched hair, I rub a good amount in my hands and spread it from mid-length to tips. I count to sixty seconds, rinse, and done. If you rinse immediately, it doesn't moisturize as well, in my opinion.

This product helps with my tangles so much! Usually, after I wash my hair, it is almost impossible to the point where I want to give up combing my wet hair. Now, it's a breeze combing my hair. I'm in and out in five minutes. My hair feels soft and less tangled.

If you get tangles very easily, this product may help incredibly. It's also great since you're not spreading something that coats your hair instead of helping it. Give it a try!

This conditioner is amazing, my hair has never been so healthy, soft, shiny, and beautiful. I don't plan on switching ever. Its completely natural and just about the best conditioner ever for health conscious/ green organic beauty people. I highly recommend this.

This was a pretty good conditioner. My hair was soft and shiny. Except for the smell. Smells like Sunblock! The smell is really strong, especially when used in combination with the shampoo. I ended up using Burt's Bees shampoo and this conditioner and the smell was less offensive. That said, I don't think I'll buy again. I have relatively trouble-free hair and I tend to place a bit of value in the smell of conditioner more than its ability to moisturize my hair...

I used this for a couple of months, it moisturizes really well, but after a while I noticed it makes my hair very brittle and prone to breakage. It also did nothing to tame my frizz. I really wanted to like this, but it's just not for me.

EDIT: after being cone-free for over 4 years, I am back to Redken Smooth Down, with cones.. and it saved me from cutting it all off..

I really have to go against the general opinion here and say that I hate it.

It's very thick (which I like in a condish), but it WON'T COME OUT OF THE BOTTLE! Poor packaging is to blame. Inverted bottle or tub, and bam, problem solved.

It also smells like sunscreen, which isn't a determining factor for me, but I don't like it.

It just sits on my hair, and when I rinse, feels like I haven't used conditioner at all! Terrible. Not only that, but repeated more long-term use dries out my hair.

Yuck.

My review is pretty much like Lyrics. Spned all day looking for it after it as recommended to me by a few people as being amazing. Everywhere I went it was sold out. Finally found it and bought the last 2 bottles, and it's ridiculously expensive for it's size (especially considering that I bought an enormous bottle of the old green top Creme of Nature ultra moisturizing conditioning shampoo which works 10x better for the same price the next week). I thought because it was so thick it would work great but no, as soon as I washed it out my hair went straight back ot how it was and I had to get another conditioner t use again to actually condition my hair properly.
The scent didn;t do a thing for me either. It's not great. The product is a waste of money, especially if you're used to drop dead fantastic moisturizing products like CON.

1 YEAR UPDATE
Yes I still have the 2 bottle I bought under in my closet and discovered that it I mix it with some other conditioner (not my beloved CON though) the horrible herbal smell goes just enough for me to use it and not stink like a 70 year old grandma with purple hair that smells like lavender (worse smell ever for a young lady). I am currently using it all out to wash my weave. It's definitely not good enough for my REAL hair.

Wonderful conditioner, I used it after reading reviews form many other curly girls. This is actually not that expensive if you use it in rotation w/other conditioners like I do. It's also quite thick, so you don't need to use a lot each time. i have somewhat thick hair that's curly and waist length, and i still don't use that much of this. You can also find it cheaper on sale which makes it an even better value! the smell is fine to me...more honeysuckle than rose and it doesn't stay with you, it's very pleasant though.

Probably the best conditioner I have ever used. My hair is curly and this makes it so soft and shiny. The smell is overpowering, but to me, the results are worth it. I found it while researching Curly Girl products and am on my third bottle.

I love this conditioner. No parabens, no silicones, yummy rich moisturizing ingredients. Leaves my hair silky and soft after each use. No proteins. Works well for a daily conditioner after co-washing, as well as a deep conditioner treatment. Highly recommended.

Update 1/30/2010 - Still using on a daily or weekly basis. Still an HG. Still the same wonderful results. Bonus: my husband LOVES the smell.

Update 1/23/2011 - Still using daily/weekly. Deep condition w/ heat, or will leave on overnight and wash out in the AM. I am a life long customer. Dont think I need to keep updating this review every eyar - performs the same no matter what other changes I make to my routine. I <3 it!

So while this is a bit much for every day use for my medium-thick, superfine hair it is FABULOUS as a once/twice/thrice weekly treatment/deep conditioner. The first week I had it I tried using it every day, and after day 3 by the end of the day my hair was really limp and heavy - which is very unusual for me. So I backed off, and using it a few times weekly seems perfect. As the previous reviewer mentioned this makes an excellent deep condition treatment. My hair and scalp just soak it up! Also with the ingredient list in mind I'll take a minute and work it into my cuticles in the shower for a bit and then rinse...not sure if it's doing a ton of difference there (since I've really been trying to take better care of the nails in general lately), but it seems my usually raggedy finger edges are less flaky and I like anything that can do double duty. It does have a strong scent, but it's one that doesn't bother me or the BF :)

I use this as a deep conditioner once a week for about 10-20 mins with a cap in a warm shower. I really like the creamy texture of this product and the softness of my hair after rinsing and air-drying. The smell is a little over-powering (like a really sweet, floral incense), but it's full of natural, good-for-your-hair ingredients. I use way too much conditioner every day to justify using this daily at $11.00 for 11 oz, but it's a great, all natural deep treatment for my dry, medium textured, wavy/curly mane.

I made the terrible mistake of buying not one but TWO bottles of this under the impression that the conditioner was to die for.

I was sadly very mistaken. The ingredients are as pure as can be but the texture of this conditioner is VERY thick and heavy just like some others have already said. I had a helluva time trying to rub this into my hair and an even harder time trying to rinse it out properly (which I don't think I ever managed).

It feels heavy even after it manages to dry. The honeysuckle scent didn't particularly bother me but it didn't impress me either.

Btw, I have thick, straight hair with very dry roots.

I've found my HG conditioner! I have a lot of dry, curly hair. This conditioner is thick and very moisturizing, but doesn't weigh my fine hair down at all. The smell is also great, and the conditioner lasts a long time. A tip: Sometimes I like to put the conditioner on my hair (dry) and leave it in for half an hour as a deep treatment -- I wash it out and my hair is left very shiny, soft and healthy.

Um....I love this conditioner!!! My thirsty curls just drink it right up. It is perfect, I mean, look at the ingredients--all natural oils. I can't get enough of the exquisite smell either. It is a bit thick like the other reviewers said, but how is that a bad thing? I mean, the main ingredient isn't water, but a fatty acid base. I find it to be very spreadable and moisturizing and awesome. If you have dry hair you need to check this out. I just wish it were slightly cheaper, but since the ingredients are all so awesome, I guess it is actually a good price. <3

My only beef with this conditioner is that I have to use a lot of it or it barely works at all! I know that might sound weird, but I've noticed that if I'm trying to get the bottle to last a bit longer and I use a bit less than my norma, huge palm full of goop (very thick, curly hair) then my tresses are left seriously wanting more. But when I ladle it on, the results are gorgeous and healthy. I do wish it were a tad cheaper since I go through the bottle quickly, but I think it's overall a great buy.

I have waist length, incredibly thick, wavy hair that forms ringlets at the ends. I bought the shampoo and conditioner at whole foods, and washed after a pre-wash oiling treatment. Wow! My hair has never been so soft and shiney... I was a little worried about the halo of frizzies during the drying period but when my hair was completely dry it was smooth and shiny. I am so happy with this shampoo and conditioner.

The smell be unpleasant to some, but I like it. It's one of those love-it-or-hate-it things. The cost is another downside, but I don't wash my hair everyday so I'm willing to sacrifice a few extra bucks for /amazing!/ hair. It cost 10.99 at WF, which is still not as expensive as some high-end salon brands. The packaging was not good, because the condish was so thick, it's a pain to squeeze it out of the bottle. It's best left upside down.
