I'd like to note first that I totally *hate* Labello's SPF lipbalm. It's like trying to put dried-up glue on your lips. But the original, in the blue package, is perfect as far as lip balms go. I use it at night and days I don't wear lipstick. I haven't really found anything that wears well under lipstick, so if you're looking for a product for that, this isn't it. But it lasts, doesn't make me break out, doesn't smell bad, and moisturises my lips. I find it similar to Keihl's but a lot cheaper, and easier to find when I'm in the middle of nowhere (Europe, not the USA, I guess!) :)

My lips had been chapping and nearly getting to the point of cracking (it's a painful point) from a balm I was having a bad reaction to. Nothing was helping. So, I pulled out my extremely old cherry-scented Labello, which is nearly a nub and hasn't been used in years, on a whim. My lips feel really soft whenever I have it on, and it feels smooth but not sticky. Also, it's been the only balm of mine that actually seems to help. My lips finally get some relief! I don't like how it's a much fatter stick b/c it doesn't fit as well in, say, ring holders or certain sections of my purse, and that type of packaging comes apart more IMO, but I'm definitely interesting in buying again (perhaps a tinted one) once the nub wears down.

I can't believe how bad this lipbalm is!!I was using Labello Rose and found it to be useless as it did absolutely nothing to moisturize my lips, after reading such amazing reviews here i thought this would be the perfect lip balm, the original one.I was very disappointed after buying it and using it for 2 days,it made my lips even more dry!!!i wasn't only disappointed but also surprised!how can a lip balm made for moisturizing the lips make them more dry than before,i also hated the weird waxy feeling,so i went to the store and bought Blistex intensive moisturizer and what a relief,i felt it moisturizing my chapped lips immediately by the first 10 SECONDS!!i have been using it since then,my lips are really soft and till now it is the best lip treatment i ever used.I will never buy Labello ever again.

I'm absolutely no fan of Labello. These lipsticks are by far not moisturizing enough for my lips. Not in winter, when my lips are continuously dry and only Vaseline will do. Not in summer, when I need an spf and something soothing for burned lips. It feels waxy to me; and I hate the smell (it even gives me a bad taste in the mouth). The only positive things are the packaging and the fact that in the summer heat this doesn't melt as easily as the oily lipsticks that work for me... I guess people should find out for themselves whether this is a go or a no-go for them.

This is my HG lip balm. I love everything about it: it is thick and creamy, it coats the lips and protects them very well, it has a very discreet and pleasant scent and it makes my lips shiny and glossy. It's really quite perfect. When other balms get hard to apply in the cold (I keep lip balms in my coat pocket), this Labello always glides on smoothly and evenly. Also, it's ridiculously cheap and quite easy to find (at least here in Europe). I buy them a handful at a time so I don't run out, I've used for many years already and will continue to. UPDATE: I recently started wearing lipstick after hating it for years and I discovered that this isn't the best to wear under lipstick. It's a bit too thick and creamy for that. It's fantastic to wear by itself and it has a pretty sheen but to wear under lipstick, I prefer Blistex Gentle Sense.

Lately, I've been using more "natural" lip products made from shea butter, cocoa butter, etc...but the truth is that Labello original lip balm (in the dark blue tube) is a fantastic basic. I've used it since I was a kid and it works very well at softening the lips and preventing them from getting chapped. It applies creamy, not waxy and gives immediate relief to dry lips. I really like the tube packaging, better than lipbalms with the little caps that are easy to drop or lose. It has a very faint clean smell which I can't imagine would bother anyone. It's very nice all around, I've repurchased dozens of times and will continue to do so.

Great lipbalm. No taste, and it doesn't leave that waxy film on lips. It has no colour, and isn't glossy (its flat) which makes it perfect for putting on under lipstick. Very cheap, can be found in any drugstore (or WALMART, I believe) and the packaging is simple, and doesnt have that tiny cap (think:chapstick) that is easy to lose. Now I am just wondering how I managed to write such a long review about such a simple product.....

Three days of use of this glue-stick gummy mess left a halo of lipline pimples above even more chapped and peeling lips. Verrrry fetching. Do yourself a favor and get Palmers (cheapy cheapy) or Caudalie (spendy) which are delicious and WORK, and give this as a gift to someone who deserves a bad case of FDR Drive hooker lips.

I'm going to have to disagree with most of the reviewers. I found that the Labello products don't go on thick enough and when I smack my lips, I can't feel anything (which I love to feel!) So I don't relly like it. Theres lots of choices though, so if you like it, you wont be bored with the selection.

I tried many lipbalms and always come back to Labello lip balm (blue)! It is very moisturizing! You can buy it in Europe or Canada.. I don't think they sell it in the US, atleast not on the West Coast.

My HG lipbalm. I fell in love with Labello after a friend who competes in cross-country skiing swore to me it was The Ultimate Lipbalm, full stop. I'm glad I believed her! It's no frills and effective. The texture is unlike any other lipbalms I've ever used (and trust me, I've tried a lot, due to my addiction to lipbalms) - it's very silky and smooth, not waxy at all. I wear this underneath every l/g and l/s I put on. It's inexpensive and a tube lasts awhile. I also like the design of the tube - the lid is big enough that I don't lose it as easily as some of those teeny ones. Sometimes I stray and buy some yummy scented lipbalm from The Body Shop but I always have a Labello on hand when I need to return to the basics. This item alone makes me glad that I live in Canada and have easy access to it! :)

I love Labello. After years of using vaseline, I stumbled upon Labello and have not looked back since. It has a smooth texture that keeps my lips well moisturised and it is petroleum free(!!). I only need to apply it a couple times a day! I especially like the price and the fact that I can pick it up at any drug store or Wal-Mart.

First got this a a gift from Romania and loved it. It has a smooth and creamy texture and good staying power. It also has no color or fragrance (Original) so my husband likes it too. I used it up and didnt have much hope of finding it again until i stumbled across it on lipmedic.com. I noticed some have posted they cant find it in the US but you can find many of the Labello lipbalms on this site. Overall give it a try; its a good product well worth the small price.

The first and original Labello! I love the simple blue lipstick packaging. It reminds me of Blistex Silk and Shine. Fresh smell, feels smooth on my lips.. Very very cheap! I love all Labellos! This one is no exception! You can't find these in the US but if you know people in Canada, you can get these no problem.. A very simple and effective lip balm! Will definitely repurchase!

I hate the texture, it's way to waxy and my lips dosen't absorb it at all. This is not a lip balm for me! I find that when it comes to lip treatments, the more expensive ones are better.
