This is the only eyeliner that stays on my very greasy eyelids. It has a great texture, it is easy to blend and lasts for ever. It does smudge a little at the end of the day but it is nothing compared to eye pencils (I can simply not use any). The grey is a very nice neutral and natural alternative to black. I wish Stila expanded the colour range more (how about some funky acqua, purple, burgundy, olive?). Also, (Stila people, are you listening?) I wish the greenish colour (I think it's called Emerald) were lighter and greener. This one is way too dark and muddy.

The color is a little deceiving when you first open this. It does look a lot like sludge as a previous reviewer mentioned, a medium to dark almost-muddy-grey color. Once applied, however, it shows up as a dark charcoal color, darker than I had expected it to. I love this color for everyday, so much less made-up than black. Unlike black eyeliners, I can wear this color on my lower lashline (just the tiniest bit) without making me look tired. With the right brush it is easy to achieve a natural look by getting really close to or even in the lashline, just as easily as it is to create a dressier thicker look. A lot of people like to apply this e/l with a thin push-brush, but I prefer a regular thin e/l brush. The eyeliner itself has a thick, creamy consistency, that applies smoothly, and blends nicely when it is still "wet". Once applied, it does not smudge or flake and is water-resistant (not water-proof). It's surprising that stila (of all companies!?!) would actually offer such a quality product at such a decent price. I'm looking forward to purchasing the brown and I hope one day they can release a shimmery bonze color.

Pretty charcoal color. Easy to work with to achieve either a soft smoky look, or a darker shade. Nice product.

I'm so glad I bought this. I thought my Bobbi Brown gel liner couldn't be improved on, but this really does the trick. It's thicker and creamier than the Bobbi Brown, and goes on more easily, with less 'working' required. I love the way it goes on so smoothly but dries like a rock within minutes and stays on all day without smudging or flaking. What's more, depending on the brush used, you can push it into the base of the lashes for a really natural look, or make a thicker '50's style line. And the color is perfect, dark enough not to read as grey, but less harsh than black. Unlike many Stila products, I can see this lasting for months and months, you use so little each time, so it's great value for money for something so versatile. In fact I can't think of one single thing to fault about this - simply perfect!

These little Smudge Pots are winners! I have both Plum and Gray, and they both are fabulous. I don't wear black eyeliner usually (too stark against my fair skin), but this gray is the perfect alternative. It's a smokey color; dark enough to show up but not *black gray* if that makes sense. I have Bobbi Brown gel liners & Smashbox cream liners, and I think the Stila rivals the BB as being my favorite. These wear like cement! Hopefully the color choices will expand; I would love to see funky colors added to the line-up.

This was my first Stila purchase and I love it! It's especially handy when you have just a few minutes to spare to apply some eye makeup. Very easy to apply with your fingers and with a few brushes of your fingertip, you've got sultry smoky eyes.

I have the Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner, but I prefer the "softer" texture of the Stila. Plus, it's so much more versatile since I don't need a brush to apply it.

I love the gray smudge pot. Gives a much more natural, less harsh appearance than black, and the liner just glides on so easily. I'm very uncoordinated at eye lining, and even I had no problems. Also, though this is not billed as waterproof, I found it had great lasting power, even through water. One caveat, I've heard these dry out if the cap isn't securely tightened after each use, so be sure to do that! Definitely worth a repurchase.

L love this liner, easy to apply after I had a few times to practice. The color stays all day and is lovely. I have it in grey and plum. I have been using plum for under the eyes and grey for the top liner. Will definetly purchase again. You do get a lot of product for the cost, I only hope it doesn't dry out!

While I've been a "Stila-Hater" in the past, I really love the Smudge Pots. I have Gray and Brown, and plan to get Plum. Very easy to apply, and stay put all day. Just wish the rest of the line was of this quality.

This is just lovely! Very easy to use. What I really like is it's very easy to get this exactly in your lashline so that you have no gaps between your liner and mascara. This stays put all day on me and I have very oily lids. I love the shade -- being a blonde, black eyeliner looks too harsh on me and the gray gives me good definition without looking too over-the-top. And I am most impressed with Stila for not pricing this higher. I love their products but in the past few years I have not purchased too many items from this line due to the outrageous and ever-increasing prices. If this is an indication of things to come, I'll be back!

I love this eyeliner. It applies evenly and lasts all day. The grey is a great alternative to black and looks very soft. The grey is a nice compliment to my hazel eyes. I recommend as it will last a very long time!

I love this stuff. My new HG. Like this better than BB cause i think its a little easier to apply. It doesnt clump on the brush and is a little sheerer and not so dark like the BB. Lasts all day. Easy to apply with the BB ultra fine liner brush. MY new staple and i cant wait to get the rest. A medium matte gray shade that is just a tad lighter than the BB gel liner in granite.

Love this stuff! I wasn't exactly sure how to use it, but the stila SA explained it well and also helped me find the right color for me. The gray makes my blue eyes bright. Its soo easy to use, looks great on both top and bottom lashes. Its easy to smudge, dries quick but no instantly. Doesn't move after that which is a must for me! I use a pointed eyeliner brush, but i want to see how using a flat taklon e/l brush goes. There is soo much product- and you only need a teeeeny tiiiny bit. Will last forever!
