Oh man, I just LOVE this product. I've always been a fan of L'Oreal haircolors but I've never tried a highlights kit before that I've truly dug. This however is AWESOME. I have dark blonde hair naturally that was showing a couple of first gray hairs, so I dyed it with L'Oreal Preference first to the shade nearest my natural color. I wasn't sure how hightlights would take on it so I used Colour Rays in "white". I only did a few strands originally as a sort of test and I panicked halfway through thinking they'd be too light and washed it off. The results were awesome. Blended perfectly with my hair and yet showed up just fine though still subtle. Someone at work thought I'd had it done professionally. Next time I did it, I left it on a little longer and got a slightly more dramatic look. I love it. I am sure even on darker hair this would do something noticeable. And it's a nice color not at all brassy or yellow. I still didn't leave it on the full time (about half to be exact), but I don't think I need to. It shows up just great. This is also a breeze to apply with the little brush thing which is MUCH easier than using a cap or a spatula. Not messy either! My only complaint is mixing it was hard in the little tub. I think next time I'd put everything into a bigger receptacle for ease. That's a tiny complaint though. This is an awesome product for me. I am DEFINITELY buying it again. In fact, I have!

upon getting tired with my current hair conditions (as i do quite often) i purchased Color rays in Fushia. easy to apply, and looked great the first few days. After only washing twice, the color is already fading badly. the few streaks are looking more light pink on the bottoms as opposed to the vibrant fushia (i also colored the tips all the way around). Luckily for me, the fading isnt too bad, since i enjoy changing things up often. For those looking for dramatic change that lasts a longer (and i do understand it is NOT permanent) i would go with something else.
just my 2 cents.

The only reason I don't give this a 5 is because it's not available in blue or purple.
I picked up the Fuschia. Finally a funky hair color that doesn't permanently stain everything & that shows up true on dark hair.
This is an update: this stuff is crap. As it was growing out it got very brassy & oxidized terribly. Also about 6 weeks after I put it in I went on vacation. I found traces of color on the white towels & pillowcases after washing my hair.(I don't use white linens at home)

$10 at the store, kit comes with tray, brush, 2 things to mix together, small packet shampoo, small packet conditioner, gloves instructions. Well, it says once you put ont eh color it won't migrate, that is true, so no need for a cap. BUT it also says the color will be bold and vibrant, even on dark hair! Wrong. The color you see is what you will get if your hair is already bleached. The tray is great, the applicator is great, everythign is great, except it doesnt' do what it claimes in terms of bold color. I did fushcia. Can it get any more bold? It sucked in comparison to using 40 lift with L'oreal hi-color from sally's. Also in fushia. This porduct is just a prepackaged form, more expensive, more sucky, except the kit itself is wonderful! I'm going to keep it for future highlighting.
