Silk Screen offers light coverage with a natural to matte finish. The color selection is pretty great too - 18 shades. I really like Silk Screen as an afternoon touchup because it brings back the smooth, even coverage my foundation gave me at 8 a.m. I don't get this same, even finish with translucent pressed powders and it looks more natural than a powder foundation with more coverage. My application is with a purse-sized powder brush instead of a puff, which gives a lighter application. I'm closest to NW15 and I use Cloud.

I've been using Origins Silkscreen for so many years now. It has been my most favourite press powder. I had swiched to try a couple other brands but in the end this one suits me the most. I like its fine coverage which looks so natural and blended very well on my face. The color is quite yellowtone so that it matches with my undertone skin perfectly. I'm about NC20-25 on MAC, and I'm using Vanilla Cream with this Silkscreen.

i am in love with origins products, but I do not like this powder. I have normal/dry skin and I tried many times to use it over my moisturizer as I do not wear a lot of makeup. It turns orange, even if I let my moisturizer dry before applying it. it also dries out my skin pretty badly and makes me look fake and flakey. I tried their loose one-color-suits-all powder and it works much better, although it can turn a bit orange when used over just moisturizer too.

Very nice product. LOVE IT. Spreads evenly, looks very natural on the skin, light. I am happy with my purchase.

I tried this in Just Coffee and it was too dark and heavy. I think if you just want a powder to wear alone then this might work.

This is okay. One application is enough, and it is definitely not for a really hot/humid day. After applying more times throughout the day, it will build up and it's a bit too heavy.

A very nice powder which is not too "fake" looking. I use it every day over my foundation. It last a good long time. I use a large brush to apply it and would recommend doing that.

I like this a lot but I am kinda on the fence with it. I think it goes on better with a big fluffy brush than the pad that it comes with. I think that it does an OK job at keeping oil at bay, but don't use this if that is what you need it for. It gives a nice finish over your usual foundation, but if you are relying on this soley alone, than it would look good on near-perfect skin with small pores.

I've used this product for years. I like the Camel shade as I am semi fair skin toned. I use it to set my makeup and it gives my face an absolutely flawless look. I have a few problems with blemishes once in a while but the Silk Screen isn't what causes it, but I sure like having it when I do have a few blemishes, it covers them right up. Great by itself under a little blusher, for when you are making a quick run to the market and just want a little coverage.

I'm on my second one of these. The first time I bought it, I thought it was miraculous-smoothed, covered imperfections, soaked up oil, lovely. True to its name, it is very finely milled, like silk, and clings to skin. The second time I bought it, I thought, "What happened?!" Either they changed the formula, I bought a bad batch- or it could just be that they discontinued my old color and all of the new ones are too pink/orange/heavily pigmented and sit on my face like a pinky-orange mask. I wanted to like it, but I've moved on.

This is the best I have found for oily/ sensitive skin. Works perfectly with Origins Reflection Perfection foundation.

I have been using this product for a couple years now. Every so often I try other powders but keep coming back to this. It works great for me. Makes my skin look very even and finished. Does not cause break outs. I don't have any problems with it causing dry looking patches like others have experienced. Love it!

I liked this stuff enough to purchase and use up two compacts of it, but I just don't reach for it anymore at all. Something about it stopped working for me -- it became hard to apply, the powder hardened in the compact and the sponge didn't pick it up anymore, and it stuck to my dry patches. I use NARS powder foundation these days when I don't feel like using TM or liquid, and it works soooo well for my skin. The Origins stuff always ended up looking orange, no matter how lightly I applied it. Color matching must've been off. This will not be a repurchase for me anymore.

This product is okay. It covers well, but the result may be too matte for some. I like to use it to set my foundation - I take my BE brush to apply. The packaging is not very good for a $24 powder ... there should ALWAYS be a separate place for your sponge/puff to go. I keep the plastic sheet in between, but it makes quick touchups difficult and inconvenient. It's not too bad though, I'm satisfied with using it until I run out. But I will probably be going back to MAC Studiofix once I need a new compact.

I've been using this for almost a month now and it's been a joy ride. No break outs, good coverage and really does a superior job at controlling my oily skin. I still touch up 2x a day with MAC's blot, however, because there is a bit of shine on my nose. I've been on the search for a new powder since Aveda reformulated Dual Minus Oil a while back and I think (fingers and toes crossed) I may have found its replacement. I use the colour Camel (as suggested by the MA) and I thought it was going to be too dark, but it is a perfect colour match. This powder makes my skin look so good and healthy. I'm glad I listened to recs from MUA.
UPDATE 12 JULY: My face has started looking much oilier lately and I'm not sure if it's because of Silk Screen isn't absorbing oil or the warmer weather. But I need to blot and powder several times a day and almost 45-60 minutes after first applying Silk Screen. I'm almost finished it and don't think I'll repurchase right away.

I have very oily acne prone skin. Finding products for my face is a great undertaking. Thanks to all of the good posts about this product I found a powder that I think is great mostly because this powder does not make me break-out. I actually think that it may have helped reduce my break-outs, maybe my last powder was inducing them (Skin Stays Clean by ALMAY-discontinued). It covers nicely (doesn't hide my acne scars--that would take a miracle). Also, it has a very nice texture. Overall, I highly recommend this powder.

This is the best pressed powder I have found. I keep it in my purse for touch ups. It provides a flawless look, and is not cakey. My pores do not feel clogged, and it reduces the midday shine I get for hours.

This powder has an exquisite texture and Porcelain, the lightest shade, blends beautifully with my fair skin. Although this is a bit more expensive (about $25.00) than what I like to spend, it is well worth the money. I have found that this powder, like many, applies the smoothest over skin that lacks shine, which means that those with more oily skin types might wish to gently blot their faces with a tissue prior to application. The matte coverage can be layered from sheer to moderate, depending what tools are used in the application (I never use the included sponge, which is best for heavier applications and should be blended with a soft brush afterwards; rather, I prefer to use a large powder brush for a more sheer application). The staying power is excellent, possibly needing to be lightly reapplied only after extended wear, and again, those with more oily skin types may wish to blot their faces with a tissue before reapplying or during the day without reapplying for an inexpensive way to control shine. The only drawback with this powder is that it tends to crumble inside the compact when there is not much left.

This is one of my most favorite Origins products. I get it in the color Camel, which blends into my skin perfectly. I like to use it over their Nude and Improved tinted moisturizer for a long-lasting "perfect skin" look. I prefer to use a powder foundation brush though and not the provided sponge, though that'll work in a pinch (but I've found it'll apply too much product and with the brush, it comes out just right.)
Now, my skin is far from perfect, but this powder seems to cover the imperfections and create a smooth canvas for the rest of my face.
The only downside is the price for me, but I have, and will continue to repurchase this. I figure I like it more than the Stila IPF, and this seems to last me longer than the Stila did, so for me it's pricey, but still a worthwhile deal.
