I just LOVE this. It's a very soft, yummy, lightly spicy and musky vanilla. It smells delicious and is not too strong. It is very complex and is what I'd hoped Dana O'Shee to be. HG type scent, another fantastic oil from BPAL.

Old Morocco is now known as just “Morocco”.

A warm, heady blend of soft spices. There is something oily about Old Morocco that puts me off, but I can see how others would enjoy it. If you like to layer, MMU has a similar fragrance called Sands of Morocco.

From the Wanderlust Collection - The intoxicating perfume of exotic incenses wafting on warm desert breezes. Arabian spices wind through a blend of warm musk, carnation, red sandalwood and cassia.
An intimate tearoom in Morocco filled with the scent of delicately spiced edible delights, warm steam rising from my teacup mixing with the softest carnation perfume. I've never been but I feel like I'm there. On the other hand, Old Morocco evokes another feeling in me. Am not completely sure what it is... ah, something to do with a man. Not any particular man I know of, just an image of a chiseled face, a tanned and hunky, smooth-chested man (the kind you see on the cover of a Mills and Boon novel, wind-blown long hair, that sort of thing)....just out of the shower, huge white fluffy towel tied about his waist. He's all warm, clean and fresh………and this is what he smells like. Apologies to those who don't go for the chiseled face, tanned, hunky man thing...insert own whimsy here:______________ ;) I don't really go for them myself, but they do serve well in certain fantasies! Ahem…having said all that, I wouldn't say Old Morocco is all that masculine, though it could go rather nicely on a man. It’s just a gorgeous gorgeous scent…smells old in the most beautiful warm and clean way. It starts out soft and stays soft, but it's never weak. Soft, smooth and comforting, yet sexy. The notes melded together most exquisitely...warm musk and red sandalwood, the softest sweet spice of carnation, kind of like a dusky rose. I can't smell much of the cassia but I guess it's in there helping to make this divine scent what it is. And those Arabian spices, mmmm....there's no one spice that pokes out to my nose though and they don’t dominate the scent at all. The man likes it on me, he said it made him think of roses and got a dreamy look in his eyes.

PS: Only problem I have with this one is that I wish it were stronger on me. I put quite a bit on and the sillage is wonderful for about half an hour before I have to put more on. Up close it’s still there though…I think I might drift away.

Doesn't have any lasting power. The customer service absolutely stinks at BPAL and it took 7 weeks just to get the samples. Way too much hassle to ever order from there again. I wish their shipping was as fast as the staying power of this oil.

This is one of my top 3 BPAL oils so far; sweet and spicy and exotic. It reminds me of a sweeter version of Queen of Sheba and dried down to smell exactly as it did wet: like cinnamon, sandalwood, almond, honey and spice. Unfortunately, as others have said, it does fade quickly on me. But I love it so much I'm giving it a 5 anyway.

Well, after waiting 7 weeks for my Imps I was all in a tither about trying my new samples. First was Old Morocco, spicy with a sandalwood dry down. Thought it was a little sweet when sniffed from the vial but on my skin it was lovely and smooth. But wait, what happened? POOF... it was gone, tried another dab and was practically giving myself carpal tunnel trying to smell any remainders on my wrist. Great oil, but scared of people.

I'm definitely getting cardamom from this. On me this is a soft, clean spicy smell - there's something "green" about the spices, if that makes sense. "Clean spice" doesn't make a lot of sense in itself, actually, but it's the same way I felt about BCBG Sexy. I agree with the reviewer who said that on her it was more of a summer scent than a winter one - this is clean and fresh enough that it's definitely a hot-weather scent on me.

Nice. I'm not in love with it, but it's growing on me. Also very nice when layered with O - almost overwhelmed by the honey, but rounds it out nicely.

This smells very similar to Amber Romance from Victoria's Secret, but doesn't bind with your skin and smell up the surrounding area like AR does. Very warm, spicy vanilla fragrance.

You know the lush, nummy smell that the Sage Machado Onyx candle gives off? This is it. 'Nuff said.

I really liked this one. Sweet and spicey at the same time. However, faded very quickly as opposed to other BPAL scents. I still like it though.

Out of all of the oils I have tried so far, I think this one is my favorite. It is rather sweet on me but it has a lot more going on than just the strong syrupy notes that I found in many of the other BPAL oils. Update: Another one that smells excellent on my husband.

Oh My God I loved this!!!!!!!!! Seriously I'm completely enamoured here. It was just the perfect spicy scent. Warm, interesting, alluring but not in the least overwhelming. I wanted to drench myself in the smell. It also kept me from going nuts after I had to take Layla (my golden retriever) to the vet again because I hate that dog smell.

Old Morocco is spicy, sweet, exotic and utterly intoxicating. Brings up images of fantastic, brightly colored bazaar stalls selling spices from far, far away. So lovely! Smells sort of like Snake Oil with far less vanilla.

I'm definitely buying a bottle of this in my next order. It's my favorite oil so far from my last batch of samples and I can definitely see myself using this with everything. Definitely a winner!

know its not particularly helpful or evocative but the words that come to mind with this scent truly are warm, slightly sweet, and spicy. Not hot pepper spicy but more like many spices grouped together. Its as if you were standing in an Egyptian souk between a cafe serving sweet tea and baklava and a spice vendors stall. I believe this may be a perfect scent -- I adore it and I intend to reapply before bed tonight.

Definitely dry and exotic. Just on, I smell saffron and white pepper, but not in overwhelming quantities - they offset the white musk and keep this light and sunny. Drying down does indeed bring out the softer, more carmelized and toasted-type feel, which blend with the saffron and musk in a fashion I wouldn't have expected.

I bypassed this on my recent order, but I'll be adding it into the next. Perfect for fall or winter, if you're a seasonal scent kind of person.
