Don't ask me how I know this but balsam peru (the main ingredient in Healing Cream) is also the main ingredient in a well known haemorrhoid treatment cream, as well as bismuth subgallate being an ingredient in both. It is also the exact same yellow-y colour. Well, at least we know it helps inflammation!

I've been using the healing cream for a while and it works, but I don't put it all over my face or use it every single day. I use it when my rosacea is flared up and bothering me and I just put it on the red area, or on a scar or bit of irritation. For that it's great (though haemorrhoid cream is much cheaper so I might just get that next time!)

After experiencing acne for the first time at 31, I was desperate for a fix. Allergic to benzoyl, I was limited. Changed everything- now on Cetaphil, kept the Mario Gylcolic Cleanser and instituted Mario Healing Cream and Mask, Drying Cream and Mask, Whitening Mask and Buffering Lotion. The Healing Cream is great. I am very pale (NW20 15 in winter), and the green tint is noticeable, but coverable by my LM Porcelain Tinted Moisturizer. Still getting "flakies" but the acne is clearing and scars are lightening. What more do I want? Its not a miracle cure, but it is helping me with my adult, hormonal chin acne.

Definitely reduces redness around my face and keeps my skin moisturized. I haven't noticed any advancements in the healing process of my acne scars but I am impressed that this is one of the few moisturizing creams that hasn't broke me out.

I am not crazed over the design of the product; you have to dug your fingers into the jar to get the product. This one jar however, can definitely last for a long time especially since you don't need a lot of product to cover your whole face. Overall, I am satisfied.

Doesn't work miracles and isn't as good as the mask but still great for what it is. Love it.

I did not notice this did anything to my skin. I guess I have an OCD about picking on my face- naturally I often have sores on my face. I think Neosporin or Hydrocortisone works better at healing.

This is my favorite of all the mario badescu products. I've been using for 2 months now and my skin hasn't looked so good since I was 14! It's perfectly moisturizing without making my skin oily. I use it before bed every night and in the morning my skin looks flawless. It also gives my skin a matte like look and feel. I absolutely love it and will definitely add it to my every day routine.

This product is amazing for people with acne prone skin. I initially used the control cream, also by Mario badescu, and experienced a bad breakout. After that, I started to search for creams that would help with acne and redness (my main problem) and came up wuth the healing cream. It is heavy and rich, but it does not contain oil or parabens so i is safe for those of us wiht sensitive skin prone to freak outs. I am overall not a huge fan of Mario Badescu's products, but i have been using this cream for over 2 months now, and my skin has never looked better. (note I also started taking spironalactone and it made me initially break out, and this cream really helped reduce the severity of the pimples.

This product truly amazed me. I have not had a product that completely healed my blemishes and reduced the redness almost immediately. I can wear this under my makeup without a problem. The price is a bit much...but well worth it. It definitely speeds up the healing process and smooths out the bumps.

been using this for over a month and i absolutely love this product. i use it every day after i've toned my face with thayer's lemon witch hazel. it has a thick consistency that has a yellowy/green-ish tinge to it. i apply to my face immediately after i've finished toning to a damp face so that it is easier to spread. i've tried using on a dry face and its a little harder to get it evenly all over the face. the cream is quite thick so it takes a few minutes for it to sink in but it does not leave any oily residue or feel sticky. afterwards i use a light moisturizer on top.

i have problems with picking at acne [resulting in scars] and my face gets all red and irritated; i also have redness around my nose/lip area but now that i've started using this cream redness/irritation is minimal, acne heals a lot faster and scars are almost all gone.

i highly recommend this product; definitely give it a try if you have issues with redness and acne that is slow to heal and prone to scarring.

I had a sample of this and loved it so much i went and purchased the full size - however i still haven't used up my sample so therefore haven't had to use the full size item yet. It comes in a huge tub which i don't think is the best container they could have chosen since i like to just use my finger and get the product out which also, isn't the best method. But the product itself is great! I 'pick' at my acne a lot.. just can't stand feeling bumps on my face - so when i do some damage and irritate pimples and make them very red and swollen i grab this stuff and it helps to decrease swelling and redness and pain!

The Healing Cream from MB is another favorite of mine! It really does not do much to conceal, however, it helps heal blemishes that have grown "crusty" after treating with acne products. It also helps to soften and hydrate my skin.

What I do is wash my face with Purity by Philosophy, use the MB Cucumber toner and then apply the MB Healing cream, which helps prepare my skin for my mineral foundation. When I have time, I will apply after the Healing and Soothing Mask. Both products are great for Winter, not sure about Summer though.

I do like this product, but I don't find that it does what it claims. For me, it just delays the inevitable. It immediately takes away redness but my blemishes don't heal any faster or differently. What I like it for is if I pop a pimple or take a scab off and it's very red underneath but I have to go somewhere soon. It turns the dark red blemish into a light shade of pink that can be easily covered with concealer. It's also tinted yellow so that helps cover up some of the redness as well.

LOVE IT. I actually bought this on a whim when I went to ULTA today. I looked at my skin in the mirror and noticed my acne was pretty red. With permission from a worker there, I took a cotton swap and put some on one of my big ol zits. Literally minutes after, it went down from a fire engine red flare up to a nice pink shade. It was unreal, and it also made my skin feel a lot cooler and less irritated.

This stuff smells so good to me-- kinda planty. It doesn't help clear up your acne.. but it does help calm irritation, making acne look a bit less red. If i have any acne that's scabby or peeling from dryness (eww) , this cream seems to make it heal faster. This didn't cause any noticeable improvement in hyperpigmentation.

I've been using this product on and off for a few months now and I do like it.
I think it's a bit hard to apply and feels sticky. The cream has a nice color on my skin and really does instantly lessen redness, but that's probably because I have a yellow undertone and the product is yellowish. It feels soothing and after awhile I don't notice the stickiness. It seems to be helping my overall redness.
Yesterday I forgot I had put some of the cream on and put foundation on my face, I thought my foundation looked better and applied easier than usual, then I remembered I still had the healing cream on. Maybe it would make a good primer too.
As far as healing anything like pimples or reducing scaring, I don't think this really does anything other than sooth.
My main beef is that for the price, you shouldn't get deceived by the jar. You don't actually get the amount you think. It appears your getting your jars-worth, but it's the kind that is thicker with plastic on the inside, so you hit the bottom of the jar a lot sooner than expected. I won't repurchase, overall it hasn't made me feel like it was worth the price. Perhaps if Mr. Badescu was a little more generous.

This does relieve the redness associated with a breakout, but it does not prevent new ones. It also helps prevent scarring, and I am really prone to that, so I do use this on the occasional zit. I got it as a sample months ago, and I still have most of that left, so a tiny bit goes miles. I'm not sure if I'd repurchase or not. I haven't had to use it in a while *knocks on wood*

has some moisturising effects, One of the better MB products, as some of the MB products dont do much.

Helps with the healing process, as its moisturising, reduces redness, and helps reduces inflammed areas too.

Worth trying for SOS skin...but not a miracle worker. this and the MB calming mask seem to be ok/good in helping inflammation but dont expect anything spectacular ffrom this product,
