After reading endless reviews about this line I was finally able to visit a LUSH store while I was on vacation.

I went to the counter and looked around. I went directly to the most popular LUSH soaps I had read about such as rock star , honey I washed the kids, and karma.

Needless to say I really don't understand why there is such hype when it comes to these soaps. I did not find the rock star one to smell like pink candy or anything close to sweet ... it just has an "eh" scent to it.

The sales lady asked what I was looking for and I asked her to suggest a soap that would be hydrating and leave my skin soft. She suggested Figs and Leaves. I bought a hunk of soap, of course not realizing how much it would come out to .. my total was $12.39

The soap is a little pricey but not much - the one positive thing about this soap is that is has a very clean natural scent. So the whole time I had it in my luggage it made everything smell so nice and clean.

I finally had a chance to use it and it was okay ... it did leave my skin a little dry. The scent did linger upon my skin. The hunk of soap I got has mostly seeds so no leaves anywhere .. it does not hurt to use or anything.

Would I buy this soap again ? I said yes because I now know to buy a small piece so I will not be paying so much & I can also just let it breathe in any room and it becomes a room freshner'. :)

Again LUSH is over rated in my eyes ... all the reviews on here and on YouTube made it seem like it was the most amazing soaps ever .. when they are not ' ... again its just the hype.

So if you are like me and fell for the hype... just get it out of your system and go to a LUSH store and buy a small piece of soap. Trust me ... its no big deal. It's just SOAP. :0)

I really like this soap. It is hard to describe the scent, but it is very fresh and clean and the best way I can describe the scent is just very natural. I found this soap lasts a little better than the Karma soap. Lush soaps are expensive, but I love to treat myself to them. This is one that I will definitely purchase again.

I looove this scent. It is fresh, not sweet and overpowering like others. The seeds in it are just really really exfoliating, to the point where it is hard for me to use this soap. I like to lather it up in my hands/washcloth and then use that on my body, rather than apply the soap with the seeds directly to my skin. I did buy another small chunk of this, but I also asked the saleslady at LUSH what a good replacement soap would be (I told her my ideal would be figs&leaves minus the seeds). She recommended "emperor of icecream buttercream" which I am completely sold on! Check it out if you feel the same way I do!

I LOVE this soap. it has a lovely scent that lingers on your skin afterwards. The scent is a clean soft smell. I have used Honey I washed the Kids, Rockstar, and Fig I love all three. But I think figs and leaves is more moisturizing then the other two. It has seeds in it that is not to rough in my opinion it gives you a nice massage and exfoliation. I will repurchase.

I really like this soap, the smell reminds me of a nice Autumn day. The smell is good and the soap is very creamy- lathers very well and goes on smoothly on the skin. I don't have a problem with the figs in it, makes me feel like my skin got a nice clean scrub out of it. After the shower the smell still stays onto your skin for a while and makes my skin deliciously soft!
Amazing stuff!

This soap surprised me. The smell is not something i would think i'd like from the description but I think think it smells really nice. Very clean and fresh. It melts away not as fast as other creamy soaps but still pretty fast. I dont get as much lather or soap from this as I do from other Lush soaps because of the density of the seeds. So I have to use it directly on my skin rather than rubbing it into a loofah or washcloth first which is what I usually do because it makes the soap last longer. The seeds aren't like an exfoliating scrub but more of a massage, provided you don't press to hard. All and all, I love this soap and I will defiantly keep it stocked in my soap rotation.

I like this one! I don't know if I'd buy it at full price but definately at the next LUSH soap sale. It doesn't melt away and it lathers up nicely too. I like the composition of the little seeds in it. I actually like the smell -- surprisingly because it's super similar to that cheap motel free soap that they give you in the bathroom. I ripped off the leaves after first use though.

Very creamy and moisturizing. Somewhat perfumey smelling in my opinion. But very nice in the shower. Seems to be pretty popular but mostly with women.

This product I liked a lot but it's not on my fave list. Looking at the bar, I was expecting to have all the leaves/etc fall out while I use it but it's pretty solid. Lathers just like regular soap.

I have to wonder if there is a lot of variation in the composition of each bar of this -- the bar I have is like 60% seeds! It actually hurts to use it. I bought a big chunk, unfortunately, so I'm making myself use it up and it lasts forever.
On the plus side, if you have cellulite, frequent use of this will work to minimize its appearance by slightly swelling the skin in that area!

I like this soap, and I agree with other reviews that it's more of a skin massage bar than a soap. Because of the heavy amount of seeds in the soap, I felt I was getting very little lather and was usually left with a big mess in the bottom of the tub after a shower with this stuff. It's okay, but there are other soaps from LUSH offering more bang for their buck.

This soap DOES NOT SCRUB! acts more like a massage soap! the fig seeds feel very nice on the skin but thats about it... they dont do much.

the soap smells very nice, but a little old-ladyish. still its pretty.

it doesnt bubble too much, or mosturize, and has the usual lush quility of leaving skin tight and filmy!

I bought this soap because the saleswoman said it would do wonders to make my dry and rough skin soft and silky. As this wasn't the most expensive one I gave it a try.

Pros:
- smells nice
- calms me a bit

Cons:
- I admit that I have really really dry skin but this soap really did NOTHING to make it softer. When I first try a soap I skip bodybutter to see what just the soap does for me. It felt as if my skin would rip if I moved too swiftly.
- The seeds, which are meant to do the exfoliating, are far too rough. They really scratch but not in a good way, this does more damage to your skin than good IMO.

Not my favorite LUSH product. The scent was fair, very mild. But the soap itself was ugly with this blackish, dirty-looking leaf sitting on top. The leaf gets wet and soggy and just kind of gross. Not sure what the point of it is. The soap didn't lather very well and it wasn't particularly moisturizing.

This is one of my favorite soaps. I love the scratchy texture and the scent is so yummy. This leaves my skin very soft and I am now addicted to lush soaps and they are all I use. The smell is clean mixed with a light scent and it is so nice. The packaging is nothing because it is just wrapped in paper but thats of because it is good for the environment!

Don't get me wrong, I love this soap, but there's something gritty about it, not just in texture, but in terms of the smell. It has this lovely natural floral smell, but with something just a little too earthy in there that sometimes makes me feel like the soap itself is dirty. This is probably my favorite Lush soap though, so it's definitely not a problem for me, just something to be aware of. It's also a lot scrubbier than I thought it would be, but I think that's a good thing.

I absolutely love this soap!. It's much better than Dove Cream Oil soap, which is what i was a devoted user of before trying this. It seems to moisturize better than Dove, plus i like the exfoliating seeds. The first time I used this Figs and Leaves, I thought the seeds were too scratchy and scrubby, but they grew on me and I love the way they feel now. Plus, this soap leaves my skin much softer than the Dove Cream Oil soap ever did. And the scent is delicious, kinda hard to describe but very soft and very addictive. I find Figs and Leaves to give the best and creamiest lather of all the Lush soaps i've tried, and doesn't leave my skin feeling ashy or tight. My only gripe is that the wonderful scent doesnt last on my skin as long as I'd like, and the price is pretty spendy.

This is one of my favourites of Lush soaps. I really like it s unintimidating, but rich and natural scent. And that ugly duckling of Lush soaps looks actually pretty good in our simple & modern bathing setting.

I really don't understand those comments that claim that Lush soaps don' last - in my opinion they last ages, even the softest ones. I'm getting much more value for my pennies from these rather expensive soaps than cheap market shower gels - mainly water, anyhoo. Just get a decent soap tray that allows the soap dry inbetween the use. Don't keep it under the running water the whole time you shower. And although there are some nice scrubbing particles in many Lush soaps, a brush or a piece of loofah does much better job on banishing dead skin cells - and saves your precious soap.

I found this less moisturizing than my Olay w/ Shea Butter soap. It left my skin feeling tight and sand paper-y.
