This was the very first MAC eyeshadow I bought. Years later, it's still my hands-down favorite. I have neutral fair coloring, medium brown hair, and green eyes. This eyeshadow makes my green eyes absolutely pop. On me, Honey Lust looks like a shimmery neutral gold--not too yellow, not too orange. I often wear this alone as a wash of color on my lid, with black eyeliner. This is such a sexy look. I know they suggest purples and plums for green eyed girls, but I suggest anyone with green eyes give this a try. Yes, there is a bit of fall-out, but it's so worth it. I suggest doing eyes first, sweeping away any fall out, then applying foundation. Problem solved!

Bronze-dipped peach, lustre. I'm an NC30.

Are they sure this is supposed to be eyeshadow and not blush? Because i only ever end up with this color on my cheeks :P

It's nice to look at in the pan, but i can't seem to wear it for the life of me. The lustre formula strikes again with this one! i found it really hard to apply and, even with primer, it flakes off by the end of the day. It's a lovely vibrant honey gold color, though, so it's a shame it doesn't work for me at all.

i really like honey lust. it looks like gold mode pigment on my lid.
I've avoided buying this shadow because i've heard so much crap about lustre shadows. But I really think that lustre is not as bad as many people make it out to be. i experienced no fall out.
i like the fact that it's so shimmery. it's like pigment in pressed form.

it looks pretty with alot of different shadows.
today, i wore this all over the lid with memorabilia on the crease and outer v. looks really good with purples, browns, oranges... you name it.

definitely a universally flattering shadow.

I just wanted to put my two cents in as I'm one of the people who love Honey Lust. This shadow gives my lids a shimmery golden glow, which i always get compliments on. I don't really notice any extreme fall out, and anyways eyeshadow fall out is easy to sweep off with a clean blush brush. One tip I have is that Honey Lust looks gorgeous over Cork eyeshadow. I think the brown matte base brings out the golden shimmer in Honey Lust. It can also look strikingly metallic when used wet. Yes, the texture isn't as fine or silky as Veluxe Pearls or Starflashes but the color more than makes up for that.

Honey Lust is peachy in my opinion. It looks orange-y on my lid. My cousin bought this and I use it on her and myself at times. The lusters have so much fall out, what a down fall...but Honey Lust has way more fall out than any of the others. I don't know what it is, its like pure sparkles. The colour is delicious, shame about the fall out. This would look better with lighter eyes like my cousins. My cousin applied this over paint pot colour Artifact which was a limited edition. It looked very nice and sultry on her.

This color is pretty but I get the sparkly face syndrome when I wear it! Way tooo much fallout, but nevertheless a beautiful color. I am gonna try to apply it with fix+ next time I use it to stop the excessive fallout but Not my favorite shadow!

Not a huge fan of this one. It was way too glittery and orangey bronze for me. It might work on darker skin tones- I am a pale brunette with blue eyes. There was also a lot of fallout.

I really liked this colour in the pan and bought when I had a makeover so I didn't realise just how hard it was to work with! Heaps of fallout and too much chunky glitter pieces. Very disappointing. Put me off lustres for good!

I had heard a lot of hype about this form Youtube, being one of the 'beginner MAC shadows' to start off your kit. Being a neutral lid color etc.
But i got it, nevertheless *sighs* GORGEOUS.
However, chunked with glitter and is far from neutral in my opinion. I would say All That Glitters does a better neutral lid than this does.
Honey Lust is basically just a sheer gold/honey with loads of glitter. I could work it into neutral but eh. i think i worked myself up too much for this
buuuuuut...
this looks amazing under the eyes and in tear ducts and with a smokey black look too spice it up :) and i tend to do that a lot when going out so i guess it does serve a very valuable purpose for me

Probably my least favorite MAC shadow. It's a beautiful color in the pan, but there's so much glitter and fallout that I wish I had considered that more before I bought it. It's okay to sweep right below the brow if used gently, but other than that...I don't really have much use for it =/

This is a gorgeous gorgeous color, but like others have said it is really glitter-y. A primer is definitely a must to prevent some of the fallout, but its still a great color that can just be easily applied for a day at work or what-not.

I love this one. I have no trouble getting it to blend and the color is so pretty. I don't understand why others have so many problems with this. I like it a lot and wear it a lot too.

Hate. Hate. My mostest hated Mac eyeshadow. I like the colour, but like with everyone else, it's the texture/finish of th eyeshadow itself that I hate. It doesn't even have a colour, it's just pieces of glitter packed together. This has put me off of lustres and made me not purchase Tempting, another lustre.

pretty peachy color, but its just way too glittery, its not luster, its glitter. it created so much fall out and went on unevenly, with Urban Decay Primer Potion, sometimes even a cream shadow. Not to mention there's a weird slick coating that the shadow took on in the pan. definitely was not my favorite, i do like it as an inner corner highlight for my blue eyes but not so much as an all over lid color.

I bought this as I'd seen it used on FOTD pictures and thought it was a beautiful colour. I understood there would be some fallout and it could be tricky to make work and I was ready for that.

However, I get no colour payoff using it, only large glitter pieces that end up falling all over my face. I've tried using it wet and it just looks gritty. I've had more success when I've tried over bases like paints, however the payoff isn't enough to make this worth the effort.

This colour was soooo disappointing! It looks lovely and then even when i swatched it, it was lovely....but on my eye it looks like a big dry mess ! It looks like rough skin or something even though my eyes are perfectly moisturised (thanks to my EyeCon-Benefit :).

Really upset with this product MAC...the texture lets it down !!

As much as I love the colour of this eyeshadow, the texture of this lustre is a nightmare. The particles seemed to separate as soon as I swiped it out of the pan, and left a mess around my eyes, even if I patted it on.

I can't stand the consistency of this eyeshadow. It is not blendable, it is coarse and glittery. My most despised eyeshadow from mac! I gave it one lippie for the color, because the color is gorgeous. If you like the color, I suggest Lorac Serenity eyeshadow which is almost the same color as Honey Lust, except it is slightly more wearable and prettier, and it applies like a dream. Serenity is soft and luxurious, and never ever gritty like Honey Lush. And the fallout, don't even get me started on that!
