An effective scrub with a very subtle Amazing Grace scent. I am a huge fan of exfoliation products and have used all the scrubs from the Philosophy line.
I am glad I purchased this because I like to compare but would not buy it again because for the same money you simply cannot top the Philosophy Senorita Margarita hot salt scrub.

I have been searching for a great scrub that doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. I like the smell of Amazing Grace so I thought I would try this. This scrub comes in a huge tub so that is nice and it really makes my skin the softest out of all the other scrubs I have tried. It isn’t really oily or watery but has lots of grains in it and warms up on your body. The only complaint I have is that when I put this on at first it smells like plastic and almost has that fake new plastic scent. It doesn’t smell like all the Amazing Grace items I love. But after I rub it in and once I get out of the shower it starts to have a faint smell of Amazing Grace so I can live with it. I would probably not repurchase just because this is a huge tub and I will want to try something else once I finish it. Pretty decent scrub though for the money.

This stuff works like nothing I've tried before! A little messy until you get the technique down pat (warm a small amount in your hands and work one section at a time), but it makes my skin feel smoother than anything else I've tried. Another plus - it's not greasy or oily at all, and the scent is nice and subtle.

I love this product.
No only does it have a nice light smell but it really does make your skin feel softer.
I had a few people ask me if I wax my legs instead of shaving-- they were that smooth after.
RECOMMENDED!

I don't know about this. I like something that isn't wimpy for a body exfoliant, this is that, but it leaves my skin so red and irritated almost instantly after I put it on. I have a whole tub of this left and it just isn't convenient to use and falls off. Even so, my skin feels smooth and soft after I wash it off and the redness fades. Also, it smells very nice. I don't think I'll repurchase after this tub is gone, probably in a few years, it's huge!

This is fantastic. Not only does it have the gorgeous Amazing Grace fragrance (although I haven't found it helps with layering), but it makes my skin incredibly soft and smooth. Its thick texture makes it easy to use in the shower, and it comes in a massive tub that lasts ages.

I love the Amazing Grace line (with the exception of the body gloss and the perfumed solids). I am alwyas on the lookout for a new scrub. 5-10 minutes after bathing my skin got red and started to sting. I hated the packaging as well. I do not like scooping/digging into jars - not hygenic. I turned to the Amazing Grace Olive Oil Body scrub after this and it is now my HG. At least Philosophy has variety...

It's a good scrub for a scrub, just didn't work for me because I don't like the scent. It's pretty strong, and it you can't cover it up with other lotions/perfumes. I tried a sample I received from Sephora.

I was looking for a good scrub, and went with all the positive reviews here, but I ended up disliking this product for its scent (very strong powdery scent) which can't be mixed with scented lotions and perfumes. As a scrub, it is okay (the grains were too sharp and rough for me) but I didn't get any "warming" that it described on the package. I just didn't end up using this very much and I felt like I wasted my money.

I took the advice of all the MUA reviewers here and tried this fantastic scrub. I loved it! This is my first try of a salt scrub, and I was impressed. It is very thick and grainy, and I applied it wet. I do agree that applying it dry would hurt. I only did this in the shower very quick, but it did make my skin and feet softer. I can't wait to try it out longer in the tub. And the light scent it leaves behind is very nice! I highly recommend this! I also purchased this at beauty.com, got free shipping and received a good sized sample of Philosophy shampoo and conditioner.

High quality salt scrub. it smells wonderful. there isn't any excess oil that spills over the container. in fact, the large granules seem to be saturated in oil, so you don't have to worry about spilling over the tub. i'm hooked on this! EDIT: I went back to H20 salt scrub.

I really liked this body scrub. It made my skin soooo smooth. It has a delightful scent that wasn't too overpowering. I love the fact that you get so much product in the jar. Im defenatly going to buy this scrub again!

I hate to say this but this is another AG item I didn't like. I just end up making a mess and losing a ton of product with these kind of scrubs. Try the AG Olive Oil scrub instead. Much more gentle with less waste and no residue. $25 Sephora.com or Nordstrom.

THE BEST BODY SCRUB EVER! This is a great and effective body exfoliater. It smells very good and leaves my skin extremly soft. It even does a great job on the dry skin on my feet.

i've been looking for an exfoliating body scrub for quite sometime now. i have dry skin especially on the elbows and knees. i heard good things about philosophy and decided on amazing grace. it has an okay scent: powdery floral. i prefer fresher smelling fragrances. however, it smells better than gingerbread man. i don't feel any of the warming action it describes, but the salt is effective in sloughing off all my dry skin patches. afterwards, i had baby smooth skin and i felt tingly clean. great product, but i think i'm probably not going to repurchase. it was a good exfoliator, but i think there are better out there. it comes with a lot of product though, but in a stupid screw top jar. i would've liked it better in a more convenient, easier to handle squeeze bottle.

I agree with the other reviewers; it's best to put this on damp skin, not dry skin. In fact, if you have sensitive skin, don't even think about putting it on dry skin! But if used on damp skin, this is really a great scrub. I like that it is so thick that when I scoop it out with my fingers,it stays there, doesn't gloop off. I like the smell, too, very much. I like to use this on my back, shoulders, arms, sometimes my feet. I think that my jar will last ages, and I just have the 10 oz. GWP size jar from Beauty.com. Nice!

This is such an awesome scrub. First, this is a really good weekly scrub. It does an excellent job at taking off the dead skin cells. The particles are much more jagged than the Olive Oil scrub. Also, I use it on wet skin (dry skin is too painful). It smells just like the cologne spray. For $25 USD you get over 25 oz.!!! Really a great deal. Finally, it does slightly moisturize my skin, but not as much as the Olive Oil scrub. Definately a must have.

After I've tried a few body scrubs that are even more expensive and downright painful, this one is absolute heaven! I love the scent, it's soft on your skin and leaves it that way. I wish they'd come out with more fragrances with the same formula though.

This scrub really gets the job done, even if it hurts!! Ouch. I'm used to scrubs that have more oils or some "soft" fillers so it's not so painful going on--this one can be a little difficult, but the results are great. Also, no greasiness or oiliness that comes with those "softer scrubs." You can't beat the fragrance, either. My skin has felt so soft all day long, and I didn't even use lotion this morning.
UPDATE: I just changed my rating from four to five lippies, because this morning I used the scrub after my skin was already wet. It was SO much better! So my advice is, don't follow what the jar says about putting it on your dry skin, because that hurts and is difficult. If your skin is already wet, then this is the perfect scrub--it goes on easily, rinses away completely, doesn't hurt, and smells amazing!!
