Vanilla EDT smells sooo yummy! It's a simple scent, on me it smells like creamy vanilla with a hint of caramel. My bf Rogerio just looves this on me! He always follows me around and tells me that I smell so good when I'm wearing this fragrance. Sometimes he just holds me and sniffs me, and he can't stop! I have quite a lot of fragrances, but this one is definitely the one to get my bf crazy! Other people seem to like Lolita Lempicka and Petits et Mamans on me.

I hate it! I hate vanilla's smell, and the worst part is, that almost everyone is using it...

This is a lovely warm vanilla scent. It is the only vanilla scent that is sweet but not cloying and never sickly. It is a warm inviting fragrance. It is also quite a youthful fragrance as it is sweet but light. It is a winner with me as it is my boyf's favourite scent!

I really like this vanilla scent of TBS, really sweet & warm. However, my friends n family feel that this is too sweet.. n quite annoying also. Therefore, im using it rarely hehehe

3.5 stars. I like the warm sweet vanilla scent and the drydown, but the lasting power is poor. I recommend the perfume oil version layered with th EDT or body mist or just the perfume oil for a longer lasting scent. The oil is a bit sweeter.

I used to love the original Vanilla perfume.
Thing is, this is the only one that smells even a little bit like it.
Vanilla Vanilla is not as warm and a little more sweet than the original.

I agree with the last reviewer; it smells harsh and cheap, which is sad because I love the body shop and I love vanilla so I was expecting much more. It smells ok in the bottle, alcohol-y, which is to be expected, but a lot like vanilla extract, but on my skin it got this bitter smell, almost like a melting plastic note. Oh well.

I really like this vanilla. It doesn't smell like a straight vanilla to me, more like a vanilla-amber-coconut blend. Overall it is a sweet, warm, seductive scent, maybe comparable to B&BW's old seasonal Spiced Vanilla fragrance. The only drawback is the strength/staying-power of the EDT...it seems to be practically non-existant on my skin. Maybe I'll try the other products in the Vanilla line, perhaps layering will help. I certainly hope so, because this scent is probably one of my absolute favorites.
EDIT: After reading some of the other reviews, I was disappointed to see that TBS has changed the formula for it's Vanilla fragrance. The one I have is a couple of years old, so I am sure mine is the old formula. Don't know if that makes my review irrelevant, but will finalize my review after my next trip to TBS to find out how they have changed this scent.

Hmm I don't know I prefer the Perfume Oil because it has sweeter smell and it also lasts longer on me. But this is also good!

The vanilla line is my favorite line from TBS and I *love* this EDT. I always wear this in the fall/winter and itīs such a warm, sophisticated, subtle, feminine, non foody fragrance...somehow it strangely always reminds me of wooden cabins and fireplaces...not to mention the great price as well !!

I used to wear the old vanilla when i was in my early teens i was very young and it holds wonderful memories for me and was gutted when i found out that they had discontinued the old line.
A few years passed and i found out that The body shop had brought a new line of vanilla to the collection. I wanted to hate it but didn`t.
I wear this one in bed because it makes me feel really cozy !
I use the full range when i am feeling down. It seems to pick me up and seems to stop chocolate cravings (???) Try it ! It might work for you too !

This is my favorite vanilla scent. I don't care for scents that are too foody so I thought this would not work. Vanilla is the primary note but there seems to be other soft floral notes as well. The other notes prevent it from being too sweet. I love it as a winter scent.

This is a lovely, warm and sweet vanilla scent. The lasting powder of this is great. I'm almost out of my second bottle now and I'm sure I will get myself a third :) This is the only perfume I own that isn't so expensive!

This is a sweet, spicy scent that is pretty, but does not smell of vanilla to me. The dry down is powdery and pleasant, but not a great vanilla if that's what you're after, IMHO. I'll stick to VS Vanilla Lace (a smokey vanilla) and L'Occitane's Vanille (a soft, simple vanilla). This one's not for me.

the lotion is great! my favorite is the shower gel, originally i didn't like the perfume but it has grown on me,it's musky-buttery with a touch of nut and floral,an eclectic vanilla! it isn't too sweet but in my oppinion doesn't hold a candle to victoria's secret vanilla lace,i like it enough though and will use the perfume oil again...

this EDT is not a completely true vanilla scent and it has a strong alcohol undertone. i find it to smell a bit phony, but it is nonetheless bearable and i wear it from time to time so as to make use of the rest of the bottle. the Vanilla lotion by The Body Shop smells great, so i really don't know what happened here. i'm a vanilla freak and this just doesn't do it for me. i'll give it 3 lipsticks because it's not completely terrible, but there are definitely better vanilla scents out there.

This isn't a pure vanilla fragrance, but it has a dominating vanilla note. I don't know what the other notes are-I'm not very good at describing fragrances, all I know is this smells GOOD and it's inexpensive and it has good lasting power and I love it.

I got this for Christmas years ago and didn't use it so much at first as it made me sneeze! :) But that stopped after a while and it became my favourite perfume. It's sweet and smells vaguely of cookies or some sort of sweet bakery goodies. Unfortunately they've changed the formula now and it doesn't smell quite so heavenly :(
