I bought this but returned it the next day but only because I was looking for a specific shade (which ended up being Hug Me) however, I will say that it really is one of the nicest straight up warm and flattering shades of brown. I wouldn't call it a nude cause I think it's a tad bit too dark for that, nor could I detect any pink in it, however it is extremely wearable and a lovely brown.

I have been on a hunt for a nude lipstick that matches well with my coloring, and Half n' Half is just that. I tried on so many lipsticks at MAC before I found this one, and I fell in love. I had a particular makeup look that I knew I would be wearing soon, and it demanded a nude lip. My lips have a natural pink/nude tone to them, so this LS gave them just enough color, without overpowering my eyeshadow. HG!

I have this lipstick now for a while, and its the least one I use.
Not that its not a good color, but if I have to wear a nude lip, its definitely not going to be this one.
Its a brownish creamy color, and may look dark on the lips, however I recommend using this with bronzer, its a nice summer-fall shade.

I bought this from the mac website hoping it would be a good for a nude lip. The shade is REALLY pigmented...it makes me look like a corpse. I can't find a way to wear this. I suppose it could look good with the right lipliner and lipgloss, but I can't find a way to make it work.

Just bought this earlier b/c I wanted to change my look for the day since I always wear red. Usually, nudes make me look like a corpse especially the matte ones. This one is different. Just 1 or 2 swipes of the amplified formula is enough for the colour of the tube to stay true even on the most pigmented lips. and it doesn't feel nor look dry on me. However, I asked my brother if it looks good when I got home but he said he likes the other lipstick I bought better (which was maybelline's rum raisin). Oh well...

To start, I have extremely pigmented lips. The rim of my lips are a purplish color, while the inner part is a light red color. I cannot tell you how difficult it is for me to find a decent nude lipstick. I've tried really light nude lipsticks, which look horrible on me (they usually turn a light purple shade, plus I have medium-dark skin so I look very strange). I have also tried a combination of products - Spice lip liner to neutralize the purple and using Laura Gellar's Lip Spackle on top to erase all the color of my lips, then proceed to lipsticks and lipglosses (SO ANNOYING & SUCH A HASTLE). MAC's Half 'N Half lipstick is the best I have found. It's an amplified, so it is extremely pigmented. You don't need any lip liners, primers, other lipsticks to put this on top of in order to see it's true color. This is amazing to me for that reason. Also, it's not drying and lasts a while on your lips. Color wise, it's a darkish nude, it has some orange, pink, and brown to it (I personally think it's a nice balance - it's as if you mixed all of those colors together); it is definitely more on the warm side though. I always wear NYX Smokey Look lipgloss on top and this combination has become my signature lip. I will always repurchase this; it has become my HG!

I wanted a nude lipstick. I tried on a couple of different shades, and I got this. By far, it's one of the best lipsticks I have ever purchased. It's literally NUDE.

This is a deeper in tone version of MAC's Blankety. Too brownish beige for my liking and unfortunately I looked too dead in it. Although MAC describes this as a creamy pink, I don't really see any pink on it when I have this colour on. However if you do like nudes and Blankety was too pale, you might want to give this one a try. Also, no shimmer or glitter in this lipstick. Amplified formula made it sit comfortably on my lips without drying them out. Overall though, will give it a miss next time.

Love this color! It's a perfect pinky nude color on me. I'm almost on my 2nd tube of this. I love that it's very moisturizing and lasts quite a few hours. It doesn't dry out my lips or anything. Some time's I wear a gloss over it but it's soo pretty as is. My lips aren't very pigmented but this lipstick gives them the perfect shade. I will be re-purchasing this lipstick again! I'm NC37 for reference.

My new love as far as lipsticks go. Quite honestly I wouldn't wear this alone, because it makes my lips disappear but layered underneath a nice gloss - doesn't really matter what, it looks good with all the glosses I've tried - or over a deeper lipstick it is just awesome. I never wear a gloss on its own, as my unevenly pigmented lips (darker on my upper lip, kinda red on my bottom lip, and 'naturally' lined on the sides - sheer lipsticks? Forget it!) but Half-N-Half covers the imperfections really well and lets me wear lipgloss which I wouldn't be able to wear on bare lips.
It lasts a good few hours, too, - which is a good thing because reapplication dries up my lips even when worn over a lipbalm (but then all MAC lipsticks tend to be drying on me).

on my Nth tube of this color. It has worked for my blonde hair, for my red hair (all tones) and for my daughter's brown/blonde streaked hair. It even works with my mother's grey hairs..lol.
This is a great browned/beige/nude/pinky tone which will cover most pigmented lips and work with most skin colors.
I love the texture and usually use my Spite gloss on top for a really neutral look.

This color is my go to lipstick for everyday wear to work. I love it. It is a nudey/pinky/mauvey color which really changes based on the pigmentation of your lips and the tone of your skin. It is a definitely a tricky color to pull off for some people. You should definitely go to MAC and swatch in advance prior to buying. As far as cons, I wish this color stayed on my lips longer. It wears off very quickly so you have to reapply constantly. Having said that, I love it and will continue to use until I find something more compelling. I am on my second tube and will be buying a back up soon.
Hope this review was helpful.

I love this lipstick!!! I will definately be wearing this alot!! It is the perfect nude. The MAC website describes it as a "creamy pink". My lips aren't very pigmented, so this looks very nice. I can see myself wearing this a lot during the week for work. It is an amplified creme, so the color payoff is really good as is the lasting power versus the lustres. NC44/C6/C7

LOVE the color, I'm an NC45 at MAC and this lipstick has great coverage, true to its color but also goes on smooth and not sticky at all...the lasting power is medial but its worth it for the color payoff. Its my go to nude lipstick!

Just bought this yesterday and am in love with this lipstick. I cant stop reapplying through out the day! Love the nude look but not over the top. Will repurchase...

I got this today in a B2M and I love it so far! I spent about half an hour trying to find a good nude shade which I could wear with my peachier blushes (I already have Midimauve which I wear with my pink and plum blushes).
I have pigmented lips so Half'n'Half is just ever so slightly lighter than my natural lip colour. I'd described it as a beige-nude-brown colour. I don't see much pink in it, but I'm still getting used to it.
It looks gorgeous on and I loove the consistency of it; this is my first amplified creme and I know it already lasts longer than lustres.
Love it so far, may update if this changes! NC44 in SFF for reference.
EDIT: Still loving this, actually I think this lippie has become my HG. There are slight pink tones in it, but it's mostly a nudey-brown on my pigmented lips. It is so MLBB, the consistency and colour make it seem like I'm not even wearing lipstick at all sometimes if I only put a swipe or two - my lips just look fuller, smoother, and much much sexier with this on. It gives me a polished look.
I carry one with me in my purse, and may have to buy some more backups because I fear it may be discontinued?! (I couldn't find it on the MAC website anymore...).

I like it. It's best to make the eye area dramatic. A great nude color for AA women.

This color completely disappeared into my lips. I suppose some people would want that look for a nude l/s, but this really looked boring on me, as if I just put some chapstick on. I haven't really found the perfect "nude" lipstick yet. I ended up returning it and got Modesty instead which looks so much better on me. For reference I'm Buttered Tan/ NC35 studio fix.

This color deepens my lip color the slightest bit with a browny, slightly pink nude color. Even though it is slightly darker than my natural lip color, it makes my lips look fuller. I really don't even need to use a lip liner with this. The formula is creamy and dreamy. Yum yum, I love it!
Update: Stays on for hours!!! Looks great with Colour Crafted l/s layered over the middle of my bottom lip, it adds fullness. NC25-30

For my NC40 skintone this shade works perfect for subtle lip. The consistency and texture of this lippie is great and stays on all day. I however pair it with Gloom's Liquid Lipstick in Lilly and it just looks fantastic and very natural. I dont know how I lived so long without this shade!
