white gold seemed so blah to me in the past and i held back from swapping for it. at the recommendations of several mua-ers, i swapped for a sample of it. what can u possibly lose out from swapping 1/4 tsp of it? -grin- i got it and am deeply in love with it. it looks like a dirty white-cream in the pot but when applied, it metamorphosises into an iridescent light white-green hue. it's wonderful and marvellous. i enjoy using it with blue / aqua / teal / green e.s and am looking forward to experimenting with this pigment. thanks to the ladies who rec this to me!

I think pigments in general are overhyped and I don't think they have a lot of staying power. That being said, I fell for this color.....and loved it! It starts off as a lovely frosty white, and the split second you apply it, out pops the lovely light green sparkles that eluded your eyes in the jar. It makes me smile. It's a very wintery and wearable piggy.

This is a very shimmery, glittery white that flashes gold and yellow. I took off one lippie because I find it to almost have too much glitter. Other than that, it's gorgeous. It's one of the chunkier pigments, so it's hard to keep it all from falling off onto your cheeks, but used wet, it stays in place and looks gorgeous.

I got a sample of this on Ebay and i LOVE it.. i like glittery stuff that is able to go from subtle to 'wow'.. a light wash of this over the eyes with some brown liner is good for work, and i've worn this as a liner wet under my bottom lashes and it looks very cool.. the larger peices of glitter tend to 'powder down' on my cheeks.. but not enough that it bothers me.. very pretty! the color is white and shimmery in the tub but goes on with predominantly gold and some blue/green flecks of glitter..

I tried this in a sample first, I thought it might be like all the rest (frost, vanilla etc..) but I was wrong!! I get so many compliments on this, I had to get the full size! It is very shimmery and has a iridescent greenish look, especially over black eyeliner! this is a must have!

Very very pretty. A bit TOO glittery, but pretty nonetheless. Glad I got it.

A very shimmery white with yellow gold tones, which are not obvious. A 'warm' white that can look quite similar to vanilla or even frozen white on first glance. Not finely milled but quite chunky. Good for mixing with other colors or for layers on top of other colors. However, too similar to Vanilla, which is easier to apply and which doesn't flake off when applied dry. Not a must have, but a versatile pigment nonetheless.

Pretty color, not outstanding imo, but defidently pretty. Its a white color that flashes a yellow gold and sea foam green. Would probably repurchase if i ever run out.

It shimmers in green, goes on ivory, yellowish white. Everytime I put this pigment on I had trouble with very painful eyes. If you get it in your eye, it is very irritating. I haven't had similar problems with other pigments except maybe for Fairylite. I wouldn't buy this color again.

White Gold is a shimmery white shade that flashes green. As far as I could tell, there was no gold in this at all. I still love the color. It's hard for me to pull of greens on the brow bone so this is a nice shade to pair with green eye looks. I would recommend this if you like shimmery colors. The texture is similar to most pigments, I prefer the metal or frost pigments to mattes because you get a better demension of color.

I do agree that this pigment is very pretty, but it creased like mad on my lids and also picked up a lot of my eyeliner (Stila Smudgepot in black) which I never have a problem with. Disappointing.

While I really like this color, I prefer it more as a highlighter or to layer over another color. On it's own, it doesn't do much for me....it doesn't really show up much by itself. But, nevertheless, I still like it.

this is very pretty when i tested it on the back of my hand but unfortunately it's not that great on my lids. It's just too glittery looking. It flashes green which is nice, but I was hoping it's more gold cuz the name is white gold. I'll still use it but it's not one of my fave colors.

What a neat color! I received a sample in a swap, and it was such a great surprise. WG looks like diamond dust, as it seems to catch lots of light. Applied, it imparts a gorgeous shimmer across your lids. Don't pass this one by, thinking it is yet another frosty white powder shadow. White Gold is truly unique.

At first glimpse, this looks much like frost. However, when applied, white gold is finer and does indeed have some gold through it. I wore it over emerald green eyeliner and a pine green es... got lots of compliments from the SAs as I was out late night shopping :-)) For the record, I'm a GGG with dark brown eyes. I also think I have justified to myself the necessity of owning practically every MAC pigment!!

It's a pretty shade and I don't find it chunky, just super shimmery. Well it is called White Gold and looks white but when it's applied it's a pale greeny gold on me which is quite nice.

I agree with the color descriptions below. This is a very unique color and it looks so pretty paired with many different colors. My favorite is using it in the crease with Electro Sky shadow. It's also very nice in the crease with greystone lined with Smolder.

MAC WHITE GOLD PIGMENT is a nice transparent white base powder with a pastel lime green shimmer.
When applied, the white powder pretty much vanishes, leaving behind the pastel lime green shimmer.
This shimmer is slightly more chunky than many of the pigments, but it gives a nice highlighting effect with GREEN BROWN, OLD GOLD, GOLDEN OLIVE, STEEL BLUE and GREEN. (not altogether, of course)
This is one of the more unusual of the MAC pigments, and I use it very often, as one of my favorite color combos to wear is lime green and springy red violet.
I will always keep this in my collection as long as it is available.

To me White Gold is a perfect mixture of Old Gold and Frost pigments...a gorgeous sparkly blend of frosty white, minty green and just a hint of cream thrown in to make it such an interesting complex color. I bought this sight unseen and having read no reviews of it, crazy, I know, but it sounded so interesting. The minty green was a little bit of a shock to me at first, but it is an amazing shade that looks great with MAC Golden Olive and Old Gold Pigments...another winner of a pigment.
