Got this at one of those cosmetics discount outlets, so it was probably $2, and it turned out to be a great find for me. I have oily skin and can get pretty shiny, but this does a great job of mattifying my face. I bought translucent medium, which is the PERFECT shade for my skin (throughout summer, NC35, and now as my tan fades!) - it blends in perfectly! I do have to reapply occasionally, but maybe only once or twice, so I'm fine with that. Lately I've noticed that it leaves a bit of a powdery look around my nose, though.

I wouldn't recommend using this powder as foundation unless you already have flawless skin. It does even out my skin tone a little, so I only have to use foundation on my cheeks (where the worst of the acne damage is), though.

The Fresh Look pressed powder works well for me, and I will probably buy it again if I ever run out, although I'd want to try other pressed powders first.

Not bad... controls oil, but that's about it. I have porcelain fair skin and have the powder in Translucent Light, and it looks very chalky as other reviewers have said. This is the first time I've tried a CG powder, and I think I lucked out and picked the worst one! I'll be trying out some of their other powders when this one runs out (or when I just get sick of it).

this is press powder is good for oily skin, which i have. i use it in soft honey, which seems really dark for me, but goes on well. i love this powder. it zaps my oil. i should have bought it in fragrance free, i hate the smell of it, but it's worth it!!! must try if u have oily skin.

Oh man! Fresh Look, where have you been all my life?! Seriously, this is the best oil-control powder out there! (for me anyway). I used to use MAC Blot but that was too cakey/chalkey and non-oil-controlling for me :(

This powder controls my (combo skin) oily areas very well without gathering up and lasts for hours. I have been applying this like at 9am and my skin wont start getting shiny til 4pm! So thats like 1 touchup all day!

I am sad that it has been a disappointment for some but I love CG products anyway (and I am a big Department Store junkie! Not a snob but still) and their products work really well for my skin. It is just a matter of finding the correct formula and color :)

I LOVE Cover Girl! Laugh all you want! :)

BTW, I am an NC25/C2 in Studio Fix and Stila 40 watts (IPF) and I use Translucent Light :)

um...amazing at keeping oil away BUT the lightest one is "translucent fair" and it is wayyy too dark for me!!! I like the whited out pale look..... so if you use cover girl fresh look liquid foundation in either ivory 305 or classic ivory 310.... like I do... then just know that the lightest powder WILL DARKEN IT!!! Otherwise I see no probs with it...... its just that I love NO COLOR TRANSLUCENT powders for a reason......a powder with any color to it,simply shows up on any areas you have layered foundation and I hate that!
otherwise it did give a poreless flawless oil free for hours look.

i've been using this pressed powder for half a year now and i love it. it goes on so smoothly and provides such a matte look for oily skin. NEVER cakes up or changes color. and i guess it does make pores disappear a bit too. and it's affordable!

I have used this over and over for years and years - I have tried much more expensive powders and this one is the one I always come back to. It is a perfect match for my very light skin (I use ivory) and I always use the one in the green compact as it is unscented. It never looks bad and I normally only apply it once or twice a day (because I don't need to do it anymore) I do not have oily skin though, nor is it dry so I guess I am lucky in that. My sister also loves this stuff and uses one shade darker than I use. Looks great over all sorts of different foundations and really lasts!

This powder doesnt show up at all and the puff started to rip after 3 months of use. It did control my oily skin nicely though. And what i also didnt like was after a couple months the color of the pressed powder started to change and harden. it was gross so i threw it out.

I got this product in Translucent Light. It's yellow-toned, but goes on a little dark. It does stop shine, but since it is translucent, it would not do much to cover discolorations. When applied, it goes on chalky, though. Like a huge layer of flour on my face.

Wow, a pale and yellow toned powder! The finish, like most people have said, isn't "nautural" but a little chalky or finished, but I sort of like that look, reminds me of a doll. Keeps shine away, compact not bulky or anything. I guess it's a typical powder, but it's so hard for me to find yellowtoned powders!

Doesn't work wonders, but it can take away the mirror shine from my nose. I don't think it looks natural enough, though. To chalky. Use your money on a different product.

This is a solid 3.5 stars from me. A nice low end alternative to Clinique Stay Matte powder, an old favorite of mine. It's a standard, middle of the road product, very solid but it won't "wow" you! But that's OK! Not orangey or cakey, just good for my oily nose touchups. good packaging for travel and the little pouf it comes with actually doesn't get nasty. I have the silver compact and there's no smell.

Review for shade Translucent Light. This works wonderfully in a pinch. Even tho this is a pressed powder it goes on velvety, not cakey and thick. This is very inexpensive as well. I would buy it again, but I still prefer Coty's Air Spun loose powder. Tho, this is much easier to take with you while traveling

A decent powder that mostly does the job. "Translucent fair" is a bit too orange and, despite being the lightest shade available at the store, a bit too dark as well. The scent is a somewhat annoying. My skin becomes greasy after about four hours of wear, and retouching heightens the orange tint of the powder. Still, I never break out when I'm wearing it. I consider it exceptional for the low price I paid for it.

i've already purchased this twice - but i dont think i'll repurchase. Im holding out for something better.

overall - this product worked well for me. the lightest shade (classic ivory IIRC??) was quite a good colour match. fairly happy with it. the coverage this product gives is GREAT. that's what i like most about it. I apply with a sponge and it really helps to freshen up my makeup around the nose well. i can use this to touchup throughout the day and it keeps my foundation looking good. It doesnt have perfect oil controlling properties but i haven't really found any products which can do that. if you dont like the notion of caking product upon product throughout the day, i recommend MAC blot instead...but for coverage -this is surprisingly effective.

I must say that I was hesitant to buy pressed powder again, especially Cover Girl! A former Limited model, I grew used to using only loose powder, and never a DS brand. But, after going months without being satisfied with my make-up after years of using loose powder, I decided I needed to make the switch.

I read some great reviews on this powder on another site. I decided to try it and picked it up at Wal-Mart last night for around $4.50. You can apply and re-apply and it does not look cakey. It comes in a convenient silver compact and has a puff. I just loved how it made my make-up look. I looked like I didn't even have on liquid foundation (L'oreal True Match, which, like another reviewer said works great together, and is highly similar to Lancome, probably because they are technically the same company). It just looked like I had great skin! I love the look of powder foundation, and though this is merely a basic powder, it still gave that same look of being polished without looking orange. It inspired me to go without the rest of my usual make-up.

I would definitely buy this again, but after reading the rave reviews, I am going to try TruBlend and see if it tops Fresh Look. If not, this will be my regular powder from this point on.

Edit...I don't know what medication was on when I wrote this. This pouder is very chalky and, though you can reapply all day long and not look "cakey", it just doesn't cover.

I like this product overall. It didn't do anything weird, no breakouts or anything. I have this powder in translucent medium, in the silver compact. It keeps my skin from getting shiny, and it sets my foundation nicely. It isn't really chalky. And it's a good deal for the price. I think I payed $2.99. So, I reccomend.

I used this powderfor months thinking it was the greatest thing and have only now realized it's what has been making me break out :( I never broke out a day in my life before I used it and I am in my 20s. Noting else in my skin care has changed and when I go a week withou useing it, my skin clears back up.

Boooo silver compact. I'm going back to the blue one.

I needed to find a cheap pressed powder so I picked up "Buff Beige"
The color worked great with my skintone and went on nicely, and I only paid $3.49. The only thing I dislike about this powder is the smell. It smells AWFUL, kind of like medicine..? But I was told if I get the green compact next time instead of the red one that they are unscented.
