A little about me:
I'm 35,some fine lines, uneven skin tone, acne scars on cheeks, dehydrated with oily forehead, fair skinned, redness around my nose and chin, and I also have vitiligo (not affecting my face yet).

My main concerns are the acne scars, redness and dehydration.

Well, after 2 weeks of using this, I have seen results. My skin is glowing and just looks more healthy.

I am going to experiment with making my own vitamin c serum, only because I am cheap. If that doesn't work out then I will return to this.

This is a great serum, nothing "budget" about it. According to Paula, it is loaded with lots of stable Vit C in a safe container that keeps the Vitamin C active and fresh throughout use. While I can not prove that I have used it daily for 1 month and my skin becomes much more even-toned and soft and smooth. It is also more "protected" as I definitely notice less irritation occurs due to cold exposure.

Do not buy it from Whole Foods or CVS for >$20. Buy it from iHerb.com for $14 and get $5 off your 1st purchase + free shipping using code HIH374.

Not a bad option if you're looking for a budget priced antioxidant*, though agree it's more of a milky thing than a serum. Bought it having run out of Estee Lauder's Advanced Night Repair.

Solid packaging - glass with a pump, and you get volume for money. What comes out in a single pump is slightly more than you need for your face and neck, but I keep rubbing it in until all of it's absorbed.

That happens pretty quickly, and smoothly. My face felt, dunno, quenched, genuinely hydrated, dewy - lol all this is adspeak but does describe the feeling. It works as a very light, non-comedogenic moisturizer on my acne prone skin, which I like. Don't know if there are any silicones, but skin doesn't feel slick afterwards, or coated - just like well moisturized skin.

I saw an improvement in tone and texture within days.

It does sting for half a second when you first put it on - haven't seen a let up in this in the three weeks I've used it.

Was gifted with EL's ANR a few days ago (go figure). I've been layering both (EL then Vit C). I don't know if this combination has accelerated anything, but in 3 weeks with Vit C (including 3 days of EL) my skin's gone from mottled & dull-looking, with obvious pores (think burlap bag) to smooth, clear and luminous. Have had compliments from friends and family. I'm pleased. If only eyebags could be so easily fixed.

*Will never again go more than a week without some kind of a/o. In that time I saw clear losses in texture, tone, and evenness of complexion.

This stuff is a hangover cure in a bottle. I looked like death (after drinking enough the night before to make me flammable), smeared a little on my face, and it brightened me up damn near instantly. The happy orange aromatherapy didn't hurt a thing, either. EDIT: This stuff has done nothing to make me look any younger (but really, I think removing all the stress in my life, quitting my job and eating only salmon and spinach will help that). It does have some mild moisturizing effects, but I can't tell any difference when I use it and when I don't. And I have used this stuff for months now. I won't buy again.

On a side note, the Avalon CoQ10 is amazing.

For a Solid Vitamin C Treatment this is inexpensive. I picked it up for $14. If you research Vit C products you will know that they can run between $40-$100 bucks for brands like Obagi (Which is a good product!). Since I'm shelling out cash for my very expensive night cream right now, I decided to go cheap on the Vit C which I am a firm believer in for skin scars and acne healing. Skeptical about it's potency, I picked this up. Well, I have to say, it works just as well as the high end brands and a fraction of the cost. I have laid off the Glycolics for a few days because I've been dry, so I put this little gem on and then just plain Cetaphil moisturizing cream and went to bed. Woke up, less dry, even toned skin and the bumps that were on the side of my face from weather irritation were gone. I'm thrilled that this is easy to find (Grocery store!!) and that I don't have to shell out $70 for Cellex-c anymore!

I am a true believer in Vitamin C products for increasing luminosity, radiance and promoting overall skin health. After years of using Skinceuticals C serums I picked this up since it was a bargain at $14 or so on iherb.com.

Strictly speaking, it's not a "replacement" for the Skinceuticals serums, which have a watery consistency (though there's no need to use both). I don't think the Avalon is as potent, either, though you do get the C benefit.

I actually wouldn't put this in the Toner category - it's really a lightweight moisturizer. When I started using it I found that another moisturizer was completely unnecessary, which makes it a great 2-in-1 product. Granted, this was in the summer so in the winter one might want a heavier product over it and if you have dry skin this might not be moisturizing enough.

When I went to reorder iherb was sold out so I got the Jason Natural version (Ester-C C-Lite Skin Tone Balancer) which I don't like nearly as much so when it runs out I'll go back to Avalon.

I love this serum and its light citrusy scent. I mix it with an equal amount of hyaluronic acid. My skin feels perfectly hydrated. I don't remember my skin ever feeling this smooth. It has iImproved my complexion - after just one month of use I don't wear foundation anymore.

Some say this is inexpensive, but I couldn't find it anywhere for less than $18, and normal price is around $22. That's not insanely expensive to me, but a little on the pricey side. That being said, if it would work for me, I wouldn't have a problem paying it. I really wanted to like this sooo bad, but truth be told it did absolutely nothing for me...I got no brightening effect, no glowy skin, doesn't seem to moisturize any, didn't help breakouts...it really had NO effect on my skin at all. I've bought it twice, hoping I would get some good results, and I've used it for at least 6 months. Sadly won't be repurchasing.

This serum is both inexpensive & widely available at CVS, Whole Foods, etc. It has a pleasant, somewhat slippy, silicone-enhanced lotion texture. The company gets big points from me for the pump-style bottle.

Unfortunately for me, it caused breakouts. I used it 3 different nights & each time woke up with 3-5 tiny white pimples, which is not typical for me. May be the 'cones?

I certainly can't use it but it may be great for others.

This is an excellent lightweight serum that comes in a pump bottle. The product is silky to the touch and has a pleasant orange scent that fades after applying. I go on vacation every year to The Cape and even wearing spf 50 on my face I end up with dark, blotchy freckle patches below my cheek bones. I even looked as though I had a freckle mustache and wanted to die! I purchased Vitamin C Vitality Facial Serum at the end of August and started using this in the morning & night. Within a week I could notice a HUGE improvement in how much the brown patches had faded, and the mustache was gone. It has been a good 6 weeks now and the majority of freckly patches are gone. I have oily skin and this serum works amazing under my foundation, it has never caused breakouts. I have to blot throughout the day anyway, but this does not make me anymore oily. I also have noticed the fine lines on my forehead have softened, obviously they are still there ;-) but I’m wondering over time if they will soften even more :D

This is my favorite Vit C serum. (I was told it is stable, fyi). This has a slight smell of oranges, sinks right into the skin and does not ball up under sunscreen or makeup. It's lovely and my skin looks brighter and fresher. What's even better is that you can pick it up at Walgreens for about $20. The last Vit C serum I had was ordered online and was $50....it balled up!

It felt great the first day I put on the serum, it is really light. But, by my 3rd day I had a bit of irritation and redness. I have ultra sensitive skin and this product is def not for me.

I'm on the fence with this serum. I like that it sinks right into my skin and is perfect under my sunscreen in the summertime. I thought it was a reasonable price in comparison to other C serums. But after using it now everyday for almost two months, I don't really see a great difference in my skin tone. Maybe my expectations were too high? I'm not sure since this is my first vit. C serum that I try. All in all it's a good serum but I don't think I would repurchase because I want to try other brands and compare. But for a first time I think it's really good, provides a great base for ss & makeup application & has a pleasant smell that goes away quickly.

I didn't like this at all. I liked the smell - orangey. It didn't moisturize one bit for me and I started to get scaley patches on my forehead. My sunscreen didn't go on smoothly after allowing this to soak in. I won't buy again.

LOVE this serum, it feels silky to the touch and doesn't leave my face looking or feeling greasy or shiny. Just makes my skin soft, radiant, and fresh; great lightweight, summer serum.

I like everything about the idea of this product. An organic serum with vitamin C is a useful form for a fraction of high end prices sounds great. This product also did seem to "brighten" my face when I first started using it. However, the serum ultimately proved to be too harsh and aggravating for my rather sensitive and oily/combo skin. I started to see small breakouts and signs of irritation from using this and had to stop. I am planning on maybe using it occasionally in the future instead of every day and seeing how that works. I wanted a serum I could use to prevent signs of aging on a daily basis though.

I've been using this for a few weeks now, and it seems to be working really well for me.

The texture is nice, non-greasy and sinks in fast. The smell isn't bad either. During the day it can work as a light moisturizer for my combination skin (although this isn't moisturizing enough for Canadian winters). At night, it seems to help heal my acne and reduce redness. So far so good... it hasn't made me break out.. yet. Hopefully it doesn't!
