This stuff is my new HG! I have dry hair due to bleaching, straightening, blow drying. This stuff I was sceptical about, I wanted my JOICO but this stuff was on sale 2 for $25 for the large bottles and so I decided to go for it. I'm so glad I did! I recommend (for best results), leaving the conditioner on for a couple of minutes . Would recommend, I am really happy with the shampoo and conditioner. It's also color safe.

This review covers both the original Soy Milk Shampoo as well as the sulphate free Chocolate Soy Milk version, as I have and use each of these. It is also worth noting I have fine, highlighted just-below-shoulder length hair that is naturally wavy, which I either heat style straight or air-dry curly.
Firstly, the sulphate free Chocolate Soy Milk shampoo. I can’t believe how long I hesitated before buying this shampoo. I think it was probably because it is a lot more expensive than the shampoos I normally buy, but in this case I am pleased that it is a case of you get what you pay for. My hair has responded well to soy in the past, but the soy shampoo I was using got discontinued. My hair slowly got more and more damaged, which had never happened before when using soy based products even though my routines (which include heat styling and highlighting) had not changed. After using this shampoo only a couple of times I saw a huge difference in my hair. It felt silkier and thicker than before and a lot less straw like. Over a period of a couple of months use, my hair looks far more shiny, healthy and less damaged, and my boyfriend commented that my hair felt as soft as it did when we first met (over 4 years ago). I also love the fact it is sulphate free, which means less damage to my hair. This also usually means that the lather is poor, but you honestly can’t tell the difference between the lather that this produces and that of a regular shampoo. As for the chocolate scent – I love it! It smells very chocolate-y during washing, but this fades as it dries and you are left with a subtle sweet scent on your hair. I am so pleased with this shampoo and will continue to use it.
After using the sulphate free shampoo, I decided to try the original version, which does contain Sodium Laureth Sulphate (not as harsh as Sodium Lauryl Sulphate) to help remove any major build up from styling products. I use this as I feel I need to, sometimes once a week, sometimes once a fortnight, depending on what I have been using on my hair. Again, I really like this shampoo, which I feel is gentle on my hair and leaves it silky, thick and shiny. It has a nice grapefruit-y sent to it which fades completely after washing. Again, I will definitely repurchase this product.

I've used this shampoo for quite a while now and at first it was great. My hair was soft and shiny and I loved it. I also can't get enough of the smell, i love that too! But then it had been a while since I'd had my hair cut so I thought that was why my ends were so dry and my hair was frizzy....until i did get my hair cut. I had a few inches taken off because it was so dry and a couple more days of using the shampoo my hair is looking dry again so it's definitely not because of lack of maintenance. I like the concept and all, it just really isn't that fantastic especially for the outrageous price.

I am so sad that not everyone is in love with this stinky product in its scary packaging, because it has been a godsend to me! My hair is wavy and superfine. I also tend to have an itchy, dry scalp in the winter. I've gone through so many shampoos and felt like I'd just start buying hats instead until I found this. The faces on the label scare me, so I hide the bottle behind my husband's shampoo. And, let's face it, soy milk kind of smells bad anyway. But I find that this shampoo gently cleans my hair, leaving it with some body, minimal frizz, and a nice glossiness that I haven't seen since my last pregnancy. Lastly, my scalp loves it--minimal dryness, no itching. And I don't walk around smelling like the shampoo all day, thankfully--it rinses out to a mild herbal smell. This shampoo got a good review on cosmeticscop.com, which is why I tried it in the first place. I'm a fan.

I got the Chocolate version because the smell was so yummy, and I don't even really like chocolate! So that's saying a lot...Had to get a bottle for my best friend who is a chocolate fiend. It cleans fairly well for a sulfate-free shampoo, and doesn't dry out my hair, but it makes my hair a *bit* frizzy which is bizarre since my hair is naturally pretty straight...So I don't love this, but again, that smell...! SHC needs to make a chocolate version of the conditioner too...
This will never replace what seems like HG for me - Pureology Hydrate shampoo and conditioner...especially since this stuff is no cheaper than the Pureology...So I probably wouldn't buy this again...but I will certainly enjoy the olfactory delights that this shampoo imparts...

I have the Chocolate version and LOVE IT. It doesn't make my hair dry, but still cleans very well. It smells delish, I just wish they made the conditioner in the chocolate to match.
To all of those having issues with buildup or just icky feeling hair.. Its because this is sulfate free. Sulfates are necessary in order to remove certain types of silicones that are found in many conditioners and hair styling products.

absolute crap. I mean okay it smells WONDERFUL, I will give it that. It's not worth the price though, at all. The packaging is lame, the caps breaks off so easily. It feels as though it's drenching your hair in moisture in the shower, but as it dies, it's frizzy ass hell and I cannot run my fingers through the ends, which is a really bad sign because I just chopped off about 6 inches of my hair a month ago and there is no way that the ends are damaged already. I will stick with mane n tail. That is my HG! FOREVER! On another note however, this stuff didn't work for ME, it might work for others but I have totaly virgin hair, no bleach, no color, and like I said I just cut a bunch of it off so it's like a little kids hair so it takes a pretty bad shampoo to make it feel damaged. I would never buy this again and DO NOT recomend.

Okay I don't see what the big deal is with this sexy hair stuff. Actually the whole Sexy Hair thing seems kinda gimicky to me, but I gave in because I remembered that it had good reviews, and it was on sale. When I washed my hair it had a nice grapefruit smell, nice texture, nice lather...my hair was easy to comb through afterwards, more than usual. But once my hair was dry it was soooooo frizzy. I have healthy, virgin, relatively straight hair...where did all this frizz come from????? I guess my hair does not like soy proteins. Anyway, it seems like an average shampoo, with average ingredients, and is kinda drying for me. I had to get my hair wet again the day after I washed it (I never do that) just to condition and get some moisture back into my hair. Not understanding the hype, sorry.

I have the Chocolate Sulfate Free formula, which I am reviewing here because it doesn't have its own category. This shampoo produces a thick, rich lather, with a light chocolate scent that fades quite quickly leaving just clean hair.
I don't care for the scent of the regular Soy Milk shampoo, but the Chocolate version is nice. The disgusting scents they are perfuming shampoos with these days have become so disappointing I was one step away from switching to fragrance free; but this shampoo saved me.
I have long, fine, naturally curly/wavy hair that is not as shiny as I would like. This shampoo actually makes my hair kind of shiny, which is nice. This is a great everyday shampoo, and the scent blends quite well with the Soy Milk Conditioner, that smells nothing like the regular Soy Milk Shampoo. Hopefully someday they'll come out with a Chocolate Soy Milk Conditioner too.

I bought it on a whim when a SA recommended it, and wow I am very impressed. It makes my hair so soft and shiney! I also love that it is silicone-free. The conditioner is also very good, but because this shampoo itself is so gentle and moisturizing, I do not feel the necessity to use it everyday. A very good product.

I have long, wavy hair that is coloured and ironed regularly. I used to use the shampoo and conditioner regularly, and loved the results. I then bought the moisturizing version, and didn't like that, so I went to Redken. I am not crazy about the Redken (so soft and light moisture, alternating between the two), and was tired of losing my curl. I bought the litre sizes of the shampoo and conditioner and although I don't care for the feel wet (a little dry and tough), my hair dries into beautiful, shiny and volumunious naturally and the curls are back. And this after my first wash! I am trying to use up the Redken bottles so I can throw them out and stick to this, using the Redken Heavy Cream for an intensive conditioner once a week or so. LOVE THIS PRODUCT.

This is a pretty good shampoo. It's gentle and mild, yet it lathers nicely and cleans hair well without leaving it stripped/squeaky. The scent is a very faint grapefruit, not offensive in the least. No silicones. It leaves my hair soft and full, and a bit shiny too. It's a good, reliable product.

OMG!! this stuff is heaven on earth. I love all sexy hair products so far all the products i have bought have given me great results. This shampoo put back the moisture in my hair and made it soooooo soft and healthy. my hair was very damaged and used to break off on the ends due to excess flat ironing for the past 4 years. Thanks to my hair regime ( and a haircut) my hair is so healthy and stays healthy. My friends compliment me on how healthy and soft my hair is.
LOVES IT!!

I bought this stuff on sale. It was 60% off so I had to get it and try it. I really like it. It makes my hair soft and smooth. It works just as good as Redkin all soft does(for me). I like it better than burts bees even though it does have sulfate in it. I will definitly buy it again.

I used this along with the matching conditioner on my fine, wavy/curly, frizz prone hair. It wasn't horrible, but I won't be buying it again. It left my hair fairly soft and smooth as well as very shiny, but it also left it limp and blah.

It's really hard to recommend a hair product to someone because everyone is so individual and what works great for one person can totally not work for another. so to make this review useful i'll tell you what my hair is like. i have straight hair that gets oily quickly, and occasionally i get an itchy scalp. my hair isn't fine but it's not thick either, it's somewhere in between. i started using the soy milk shampoo and conditioner and i really like them. the shampoo cleans out hair really well, but is gentle enough to use everyday. my scalp doesn't get itchy anymore and my hair became manageable (it knots easily) and shiny. i get compliments on my hair all the time now. i would definitely buy this product again.
