I have the aerosol version of this product. I am absolutely in love with the grape-y fragrance. It’s a nice, light hairspray – it holds very well until you comb through it, which is what I like. Soft hold, nothing sticky, nothing tacky, nothing crunchy. It’s the fragrance that makes it wonderful – I have thrown away hairsprays that I didn’t use because I didn’t care for the scent. I’ll keep this one, I’ll *use* this one, and I’ll probably repurchase.

However, from reading the reviews, I'll be sure to look for the same aerosol formula that I have now. Maybe I'll keep an eye out and stock up, if it's been changed. I hate when I "discover" something that's been discontinued. Stupid beauty industry.

I use Aussie Sprunch Spray every day and I really like it. Though my hair is curly, it is also oily so I wash it every morning, never fail. When I get out of the shower, I use a little Infusium leave-in conditioner, use a detangling comb to arrange my curls in a reasonably neat fashion, then spritz away with the Sprunch. I prefer the pump to the aerosol can because I have better control over where the product ends up. While I put my makeup on, my hair dries a little bit and by the time I finish getting dressed, it's almost dry. I run my fingers through it just a bit and then I'm out the door.

As for the over the top negative remarks about the smell, I think they are a bit exaggerated. While scent is subjective, "I nearly puked" seems a tad dramatic. Few hairsprays smell "fabulous" and I certainly won't be replacing my perfume in favor of a scented hairspray, but this scent is not as bad as some make it sound. It's just hairspray ... and I dare say it smells a hundred times better than that super-stiff-will-hold-your-do-in-a-tornado-smells-like-bug-killer hairspray my granny used.

I had to take away one lippie because Aussie has recently reduced the size of the bottle yet kept the price the same. Overall, I'm pleased and I like the way it holds my curls without being overly sticky or crunchy. I will be buying this again, though I'm still a little irked about the size downgrade.

I have been using this product for years(15+years)! When paired with mousse this does wonders for my thick curly hair. I also LOVE the grape scent. The grape smell was the main reason why I continued to buy this product, it was my 'signature' hair scent. .

I recently picked up a bottle and discovered that they have changed the scent. I really HATE when companies change something that has been a customer favourtie for years. The scent now resembles Salon Selectives or Finesse.

I managed to find 3 bottles of the original scent and I will continue to use them until I run out. I do like how this product works but I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with the new scent. I do hope they go back to the original grape scent.

I've been using this stuff religiously since high school. So, ya, that's a loooooong time! I have really wavy thick hair. This paired with gel and I am good to go. Sadly they changed the scent. so I had to take a lippy off for that. The grape scent was a signature for me. But I will continue to use it because it works. Always has and probably always will.

Im surprised to be seeing quite a lot of negative reviews for this Spray (even outside of Makeup Alley) because I LOVE this spray. Unlike most of the reviewers here, I use this before curling my hair with a curling iron and my curls last for HOURS. As for the "crunchiness", I find that quite normal as this is a "Strong Hold" formulation. I have to say I've seen "crunchier" hairsprays out there! This is below five dollars too! You can't beat that!

I dont think I have very low standards for fragrance either, so trust me when I say that the smell is bearable. Although of course it's all a matter of personal preference anyway! It can be a little strong if youre used to very light fragrances but the smell isn't very bad!

I like to use the small bottle; I dont buy the big ones because my wrists get tired with a bottle in one hand and a large curling iron in the other!

oh my god. the smell of this stuff is straight up FUNKY. i heard they changed the smell since i last bought some, though, so maybe the new stuff smells better. in my opinion (and in the opinion of basically ever person that's been around me when i sprayed some of this) the smell is a combination of sour grapes and soiled bedsheets. by sour i mean rancid, rotten, expired, gone bad. and by soiled bedsheets i mean that smell that hits you them moment you enter a retirement home. yep. it makes your hair smell like rotten grapes and PEE. i tried to pinpoint the smell for so long-- i knew it smelled like rotten grapes, but it took me a while to realize that the other underlying smell was urine. due to the smell, i haven't gotten too many chances to actually use this product- i've used it twice. although i almost puked from the grape/pee smell, i did like its performance. What i wanted was a spray that would hold my curls but not be rock solid- i wanted them to still be bouncy and natural. this spray did do that. but at the expense of smelling like grapes/pee? its just not worth it. i would not recommend this product to anyone, ever.

They changed the scent! I miss the grape scent...that is the main reason why I bought it. Now I notice that they changed the packaging, and the scent.

The smell is horrid to me, I could never get used to it. It does create a bit of waviness for my hair but it also makes my hair too volumized that it looks like I went crazy with teasing and hairspray.

i really like the smell of this product, thats probs the reason why i really like it i get loads of comments on the scent of hair and that it smells like fruit and sweets (candy)...its kind of sticky thats the only drawback other than that i use it mainly for making my hair smell nice !

During the summer, I give up my hairdryer and straightener because they get so hot to use. Instead, I turn to Aussie Sprunch Spray because it smooths my thicker, wavy hair and keeps it in place. I only wash my hair every 3 days, and one application after washing my hair keeps a great looking wave in my hair. I would like it to have a softer look on the first day of using it - it looks crunchy and a little wet looking, but for that to be the only problem is very minimal for the overall working and effect of this product. It's now a staple in my hair regime.

Uhm..dunno what to really say about this. I've only used it a couple of times..mainly on the days when I don't blow dry my hair, and I want my hair to look like a surfer's, basically. :P The smell is aweful at first, but I've gotten used to it. It's not really bad..strong at first, but it fades and leaves behind a sweet-ish scent. Makes my hair crinkly and crunchy, but cute. I think I'd repurchase. I'll try some different things with it, I will.

i personally like this hairspray. a lot of people and friends are agreeing with me...the smell is great, alot better than most sprays out there, yeah? i do have to say that it does get crunchy, but like many others say, it does wear off or you can just put it in while damp and style or scrunch (uhmm..yea hence scrunch spray?? hahah) and it doesnt do that. it was more expensive than others but for my personal results, it was worth it. another thing i have to say tho is the little pump kind of gets annoying when it gets clogged. i wouldnt buy it despite what ive said because im trying out various sprays and waiting to see which one i like better...have to write another review in a bit!!! but so far, liking this one alot :)

I love Sprunch spray! I have thick wavy hair that is very wavy in some part but straight in others. I normally straighten my hair but recently decided that I was going to embrace my natural texture and find products that make my wavy hair look its best. Sprunch spray really helps my hair by making it extra wavy and by holding the wave there all day. I spray it in my hair damp and scrunch with a hair dryer. While I'm drying my hair, I keep spraying a little at a time and scrunching continuously. It does make my hair a little crunchy, however, I notice that the crunchiness goes away in a few hours but the hold this hairspray gives stays all day. To avoid the crunch, I try not to spray it in my hair when it's close to dry or dry. The smell is a little strong but it fades fairly quickly. Overall, great product! It's cheap too!

I love this spray for when I'm feeling lazy and don't feel like straightening my hair. I may be the minority, but I absolutely LOVE the smell of this product. The only thing that I kind of don't like is I don't get a bit of frizz, but not enough to turn me off from this product. By far one of my must have hair products.

I am in love with this stuff. I have been trying to find something that would keep the wave in my hair in - otherwise it just goes blah and gets frizzy. I figured out how to use it. After towel drying my hair, I spray a little on the bottom layer of my hair (4ish sprays), scrunch then the same on the top. Then I blow dry with my diffuser.
I get soft waves without it being crunchy. It stays in all day while I'm at work - and I work at Ross so I didn't think it would. And my fiancee loves it.

amazing. will definitely buy again.

i love this stuff...i have straight and very fine hair....i could not get it to curl not even a wave with other products, some very costly....i didnt want to perm but i did buy a waving iron, which i used and liked, but didnt want to do that everyday..then i remembered this product. the way i use it is: on wet hair, spray generously...blow dry and "scrunch" hair...let the rest air dry...it not only gives me some body and wave, but days later my hair is still nice and thick..amazing product.

For me, the sprunching spray was okay....
It definatly holds your hair like a hairspray, and the smell is okay nver really bothered me, it sort of smells like those bubbles in a bubble bath.. But it is very sticky and gets a bit crunchy.
You only need a few spritz to half of your hair, if u add more your hair wil become really hard and crunchy.
I dont use this as a scrunching product but as a curlingish hairspray.
It has its ups and down, and im not sure if i would purchase this again, maybe if it was really cheap.

I did not like this spray, it did not help my curls stay at all when I curled my hair, and I really dislike the pump. Smells kinda funny too. Also has very little actual hold. For reference I have very fine hair.

first things first, I use the pump bottle version of this spray, I didnt care for the aerosol kind, it didnt give me as good results that I get with the pump. Anyhow, I have a love/hate relationship with this stuff. I love it because it seems to be the only spray I can use on my hair that will keep the frizz away for more than an hour, and holds my curl pretty much until the next time I wash it( every other day). Being that I have naturally curly hair, and live where it's humid, that's saying alot. Now to the things I hate, the smell is pretty strong, and it does feel a little sticky when you first spray it on. The only major thing is the "crunch" that you get when you use too much. I took a lippie off because sometimes the pump on the bottle gets too clogged allow the spray to come out but It doesnt bother me enough to quit using it, I have tried other curling sprays, and they dont even come close to this stuff. A little advice if you dont have super hard to control hair, just use a little of this as a finishing spray also, I dont like to let my hair air dry with this stuff, I recommend using a blow dryer with a diffuser. Hope this helps :)
