I somehow slept on this lipglass and shame on me! I discovered it recently when the feeling hit me that I "needed" a new lipglass color. ;-) I think it looks good on virtually any skin tone. I have been a little skittish about wearing pinkish tones but my MA suggested this one and I fell instantly in love. Now it's a HG lipcolor for me, it's effortless for me to just put on, look good in and go!

This is a definate must for gals with darker skin tones. It is my favorite lipgloss from mac, and shows up as plummy with goldish undertones for daytime wear. I am of India descent. Way to go, MAC!

This stuff is TOO dark. I look like a vampire when I wear it. I try wearing just a little bit smudged on my lips but it just looks funny. I hate it. It's too sticky too. I wish I hadn't bought it.

Pop Mode is such a sexy shade...I love it! On my semi-pigmented lips, this shows up a plum-berry infused with golden shimmer. Not *too* dark nor too light, this is perfect for days when I want to emphasize my lips and keep my eyes neutral. As with all MAC lipglasses, the texture is sticky, the smell is vanilla, and the lasting power is great. A definite repurchase!

After coveting this gloss for ages, i recieved this in a swap and i love it. It is a dark colour - definately not light and sheer - but it looks great on me ... plummy with gold shimmer (not full on shimmer, subtle).

LOVE IT! will definately repurchase - its staying power is great too and i dont find it at all tacky or sticky.

Nice one MAC!

I don't normally like purple lips, however, this plum color is an exception to that rule. It's my Hi-I'm-really-a-grown-up, going-out-at-night gloss that's pretty different compared to my more sedate lip color collection. Also, my lips are pigmented, so it's hard to find lipsticks and glosses that stay true to their color--most eventually turn a pinky-rose color (or in many cases, the dreaded clown-lipped fuschia). When I first apply Pop Mode, it looks like a vampy purple, settles into a plummy, ever so slightly berry color, then fades into mauve. I'm sure that if I ever bothered w/ lip liner I could get it to keep the plum color, but oh well. I'm Asian w/ yellow* undertones, MMM w/ dark brown hair and eyes.* I think I'm going to start saying "golden" undertones. It sounds much better.

This color is beautiful, I love it so much. It is dark, but not too dark. Also, it does not seem as sticky as other lipglasses. Would definatley repurchase.

Pop Mode is a gorgeous plum shade. I love this lipglass so much because on my lips it is more like a liquid lipstick. It gives my lips such great, long-lasting color. I also love the vanilla scent and sponge-tipped applicator.

For reference I am a MAC NC30-35 with brown hair and blue eyes.

A beautiful jewelled purple on me (not sure if that makes sense ;-) medium brown skin, dark brown eyes and hair. This is a great colour for the fall and I think it can look good on a variety of skin tones. This particular lipglass does not feel sticky though the staying power is not always that great on me--but it's lip gloss so you can't expect too much. Would repurchase.

For me, it's not an everday colour. But when there are days where you want to focus your make up towards your lips, then try Pop Mode. Pop Mode is a purple with subtle gold glitter. I've seen pictures: people with less pigmented lips make Pop Mode look like redy-purple (so pretty!) whilst it's slightly darker on me, more to the the purple side. I'm not sure about repurchasing yet, but I'm leaning towards yes. :)

And if you ever have a orangey-peach lipgloss that's way overpowering- get Pop Mode to tone it down. The colour really comes out!

I really like Pop Mode, though at first it's a bit too purplish, it soon fades a bit into a very pretty plummy color on my lips (I'm a GGG-DDD). The staying power is pretty good, though I could feel it on my lips, the tackiness wasn't too unpleasant. This is my first Lipglass, I think I need to take a trip back to the MAC store!

wow! this color is just perfect for a day when i feel like some gloss. it lasts so long, and i cant describe how well this color is for cool toned girls. if brown lipgloss/stick looks bad on you, try pop mode! some people say its too sticky, but if it weren't, people would be complaining about its staying power. it stays on for a couple hours and after that, your lips are still really well tinted, which is a huge plus. i never look washed out even four hours later. oh- and if you're pale, dont be afraid of this color. i'm as pale as you can get and it still looks perfect

This is my favorite color and favorite lipgloss. I have multiple tubes so I'm never without it. I have brown hair/eyes and medium skin tone. Beautiful color. I get compliments when I wear it. Nice subtle scent also. Lasts 2-3 months with daily multiple applications.

This is the perfect colour for a night out.The plummy/pink colour really shimmers and makes my lips look wonderful.I'd been looking for a lipglass to complete my summer look and this is perfect,goes well with my nc50 skin.love it!

Dark colors usually make me feel clownish, but this lipglass was absolutely fabulous! It's the first berry shade I've ever liked. On me (GGG NC42) it's a reddish plum shade with tons of gold shimmer. This is not something I'd wear everyday...but it's perfect for dressy occassions!

Gorgeous dark plum with some golden shimmer. This is a darker version of Lovechild, but with a little more plum and a little less mauve/pink. I love lipglosses, but only in lt.-med. shades...when I wear darker shades I usually wear lipstick because it bleeds less and is easier to put on without getting outside the lines. I probably will not use up my whole tube since I only wear it once in a while, so I doubt I'll need to repurchase. Best suited to deeper skintones.

found this lipglass at a CCO a few months ago and have been using it quite often very since. I have med-dark skin (NC40) and on my very pigmented lips this shows up as a rich deep berry color with lots of golden shimmer. Some have said that angelwing is the lustreglass version of pop mode and after trying angelwing on, I agree. I reach for this to give myself a polished look when i'm running late in the morning - just swipe this and some mascara and under eye concealer, and I'm good to go!
