Love this shampoo but it's not for those with weak strands. I like it when I want a deeper clean than regular shampoo but don't have/want to use a clarifier

I rather like this shampoo. I am taking a break from my TIGI shampoo, and wanted to try a different Aveda (I have tried Shampure) shampoo. I like the refreshing feeling this shampoo and conditioner. It does a good job of cleaning my hair, does not strip it. Might repurchase. Is at the cheaper end of Aveda shampoo which I like.

I have fine, limp hair that tends to be a bit on the oily side. This shampoo leaves my locks squeaky clean and full of body without stripping or over-drying. I absolutely love how it makes my scalp feel tingly and rejuvenated (and the fresh minty scent also perks me up in the morning)!

I used a sample. This shampoo cleans hair streaky clean. Leaves great minty sensation which I like. Those who don't like the sensation should not purchase this product. However, I would not purchase because I don't want to spend too much on a shampoo.

This product is great for maybe two weeks in August, but otherwise, it turned my hair into straw! Definitely volumizing and cleansing, but it really dried out my hair- and my hair gets rather oily! Really nice smell and consistency, though. Also, Aveda shampoos in general are a bit on the small size, so it only lasted me a few weeks.

This product was definitely not for me. You really need to have thin hair that is really moisturized to be able to use this. It made my hair really volumous (which I do not need) and it didn't do what I wanted to do. It works really well on my sister though, who has thin, straight hair. It made it shiny and clean.

I really like the way this shampoo cleanses! I don't use it evertime I shampoo because my hair needs moisture, so I alternate. Overall good product.

My husband loves this shampoo, mostly due to the scent. He shampoos every day, does not condition, and has oily hair and this works great for him. I have normal hair and this will dry my hair out. Like others, I will use this once in a while as a clarifying shampoo.

I love this! It has the thickest lather and I love the clean smell. I use this as a "clarifying" shampoo - about once a week. It may be too drying to use daily as others have noted below - but it can't be beat for a clarifying shampoo. Love it!

This shampoo is quite drying to my hair. Doesn't condition much. Try the color shampoos by Aveda (clove, black malva etc, they're better)

I love the scent of this shampoo but found it to be too drying for my processed (thermal reconditioned) hair. It foams nicely but was too stripping.

When I initially used this shampoo many years ago I loved it. It smells great and makes your scalp tingle. I don't like it anymore because it is just too drying on my hair. The conditioner doesn't do anything for me either. My hair is a little course and dry and this shampoo just isn't the best product for it.

The minty scent is very refreshing and feels great on the scalp, but I would not recommend this shampoo for people with coarse, dry hair (like mine). It is a deep-cleansing product that leaves my hair tangled and dull. The matching conditioner is worthless on my hair type as well.

I have shortish thick, fine dry hair, and I use this once or maybe twice a week to remove build-up--it is GREAT for that. I was using it every day for about a month b/c I really do love the fresh and invigorating smell as well as the tingling scalp-feel, but my hairdresser yelled me and told me I was giving myself split ends by over-drying. Only good everyday for really oily hair, I gather.

I have very curly, coarse, dry hair. Rather than use this as a regular shampoo, I use it once every two weeks as a clarifying shampoo. I love the scent (it is so invigorating!) but it would be too drying as an everyday shampoo for my hair type.

This is the best reasonably-priced shampoo I've found that does not contain sulfates, and for that reason I love it. I have really dry skin that's prone to eczema, but ever since I cut sulfates out of my beauty regimen the eczema has cleared up tremendously. Aveda's Sap Moss and Smooth Infusion also do not have sulfates, but are about twice as expensive and a little too heavy for me to use every day. This shampoo hasn't dried out my hair at all, either, and the smell is great. Probably there are better shampoos out there for the general user, but if you have dry skin problems, I'd recommend trying this one.

I love the way this smells and feels, but it dries my hair out. So I won't be buying it again. I wish I hadn't purchased the big pump bottle!

Love the smell and minty tingle on my scalp. I have no problems with my hair after, but I generally DO NOT use this, as there are a zillion other shampoos that are just as effective for me and much cheaper, such as Neutrogena.

I'm surprised at how many people have probs with their hair after using this product. For me it's the opposite. I have fine, curly Asian hair with oily roots and drier ends. This product literally saved my hair during the humid, hot summer days in Australia when my hair became unkempt and unmanageable. It gives body to my hair, calms my scalp and reduces the greasiness as well. My hair looks a lot healthier after I regularly use this shampoo. It even works better on my hair than the Kerastase specifique shampoo I previously used.

I'd had a bottle of this stuff sitting around for about 8 months even though I hated it cause I didn't want to throw it out since it was expensive. I used it again recently when I ran out of my LUSH shampoo and yep, it's still as hideous as I originally thought. This does NOT deep clean as advertised, instead it leaves a thick TACKY film on my hair. It actually felt as if my scalp was suffocating and I was ruining my hair! Total buildup city. I only got suckered into buying this because of the smell, which I have to admit is gorgeous (Like spearmint lollies). I can't believe this stuff was actually sold to me as a *clarifying* shampoo of all things. I finally threw this in the bin.
