This product works well and does exactly what it's supposed to do. Long term usage will enlarge pores. Extract at bedtime, as it does inflame your skin and makes it more difficult to put makeup over.

This is the best comedone extractor, period. It's available at most chain drugstores, and there's simply no reason to purchase any other brand. For those of you who are not seeing results, you might want to try extractions after a steamy hot shower, or try a gentle, warm compress in the area where you will be performing the extraction.

Tweezermans... I love the cuticle/nail clippers, cuticle pusher, TWEEZERS, and now this? What can't you do wrong? As OP said, be gentle, it does leave marks if you push too hard. Be gentle and lots of practice and this tool will be your best friend! Worth it's weight in gold!

I first saw and used this as a teen. My mom had it in the bathroom. I had no idea what it was and then, I finally learned what it did and what a blackhead was...gross! I was addicted to cleaning my pores ever since. Yes, it does cause some scarring but that is because you pushed too hard or scraped your skin while using it. So, you should soften your skin before using this.

After reading the reviews and being oddly intrigued, I had to go out and buy an extractor. I have huge, horribly clogged pores on my nose (read: blackheads) that never go away (thanks, mom and dad). At first, I couldn't seem to be able to use the darn thing: I followed everyone's directions, but just couldn't hardly get out any gook. After much practice, I finally found a technique that works and man alive, does it ever! As someone else stated, there's nothing like putting on your makeup the next day while admiring your newly emptied-out and tiny pores. Haven't done any extracting for a while, and I know my pores are just begging to be purged...I think I'll go scrub my face and get to work right now ;)

Perfect to remove those annoying blackheads that aren't removed with washing your face! I had no trouble using this at all. Be gentle, though! It works best then. It was about $10. I don't see a reason this would ever break.. and it's not like makeup that'll run out.. I guess if I lost it then that's the only reason I'd have to be rebuying it.. but I would if I knew I had lost it for good!

Alright so this was my first attempt at this product which based on reviews here i thought would be amazing....and it did nothing. I think once black head came up. I wanted mostly to use it on these little white heads near my nose/cheeks that I'm concerned may turn into pimples if I let them zit there...didn't extract a single one. I did however give some indentations on my face from trying! Maybe I'm using it wrong, maybe my pores are too small, I don't know so I'm giving it the benfiet of doubt becuase if it works for some women, great! Just didn't work for me :( I'm mostly disapointed by the price, 9 bucks was waaaaaaay too much. Should be more like 3 or something.

Love this! I agree with the reviewer who found using it on pesky remaining blackheads after using Biore strips worked well. I mainly use it for whiteheads though.

My mom bought one for herself and one for my brother since was raving about it and neither on of them could get it to work... but they both have very different skin than mine... Mine being dry to normal theirs being normal to oily.

I was able to make one work on my brother (maybe cuz I've perfected my technique?) but he still couldn't get it to work by himself. Gross I know but he had a really painful pimple from wearing a football helmet.

So um now I'm totally grossed out and slightly embarrassed from reviewing this product, but it's such a good product I just had to.

I had high hopes for this product because of all the great reviews. But I tried this 3 times already and it did NOTHING, not even ONE blackhead left my nose :< Maybe I'm using this wrong, I use the the flat side on the small loop :( And I put it around my blackhead and apply pressure, and htis is after I take a shower. and nothing! I'm soo mad D:

This tool is totally disgusting but completely satisfying, hehe. It extracts blackheads really well. You need to get you pores open first though-just running it over your nose/face gives you indentations and redness. I just steam my face for 5-10 minutes or do a mild glycolic acid peel and then run the smaller end over my nose and a couple of minutes later my nose is nice and clear.

It's dirt cheap because you can use it over and over.

Another one of my must have :) I love this extractor -- the angled end is perfect for extraction --and it does so without damaging the skin around my face.

AMAZING! I use Biore's Ultra Deep Pore Strips to remove the majority of the blackheads from my nose. Afterwards, I use this product to get the really pesky ones (ie the ones buried in the corners of your nostrils). And it all comes out. The greatest part is that it leaves absolutely NO scarring! This is definitely my HG!

It's pretty scary how much gunk comes out of your pores with each use of this magic little tool. If you have oily skin and live in the middle of a filthy city like me it really comes in handy. I find it a constant battle keeping my pores clean and using this extractor two or three times a week certainly helps. I think the smaller loop works 1000 times better than the larger end. In fact, I haven't had much luck with that side of the tool at all. It's easiest to use straight after hopping out of a steamy shower. I seem to get the best results then. I usually follow with a a mask of sorts but sometimes I just use a toner to tighten the pores back up. I get a brief reddening where I've used the tool but it doesn't last very long. The only tip I'd give is remember not to press very hard. You really don't need to. If the gunk is ready to come out it will...if not..leave it for your next session. If you have oily/combo skin that is prone to clogged pores this implement is an essential part of your armory to fight them off. Just remember...gently does it.

OMG! I love this products! I use an origins charcoal mask which rids skin of all impurities then after i put a HOT washcloth on my face & use this. It all comes out so easy! I am in love! Definately my HG! :)

I love this! I got it for about $9 at my local CVS and it works wonderfully. It's very satisfying to use after taking a steamy shower because it's easier to get out all that sebum that's been collecting in your skin for ages. The price is very reasonable considering it's stainless steel, doesn't rust and is of high quality construction. I have a feeling the one I have will last for a long time. Be sure to clean it with rubbing alcohol before and after each use to sterilize it.

this is amazing addictive and so very much fun. i ran out of blackheads on my own nose (incedentally its never looked better) and i used it on my husband who had crazy huge pores just chock full of the stuff, it basically jumped out of his just with a little pressure. anyway he made me stop after a minute but it was so satisfying i almost wanted to do it to him while he was sleeping....he'd wake up...i think....
ooh def clean the area before and after and splash cold cold water on your face too. closes the pores up...
the big side is useless to me.

To XcolorMEc0utureX - yes this is the product you want .. the flat side is to extract blackheads and the thinner loop is to pop whiteheads.

But I totally agree with the reviewer below - if you are a chronic pimple picker, this may very well be your worst nightmare .. especially if you own ones of those mirrors that magnifies your face!

The least harmful way to do it is to press a warm compress on your face prior to extraction. This primes your faces. After extracting, apply a good toner on your face. And of course, TRY to only extract pimples/blackheads that are ready to come out .. too much pressure leads to scarring!

WARNING! When you are someone prone to picking at your face (or skin in general): DO NOT BUY THIS DEVICE!!!
I'm serious. I've had this particular extractor, but also similar other ones, I trew them out, bought them again, and again...I was convinced that I just couldn't be without. Truth is, that I cannot have them around. I have probems controlling myself when it comes to the clogged pores/whiteheads and pimples I get. This can lead to some damage I create with my fingers, but that's nothing compared to the damage I can create with such an extractor. Fact is that it CAN work really well, I mean when the blackhead or whitehead "pops" with just very little pressure. That's why it drove me crazy when sometimes, it didn't work that well. It makes me put more and more pressure, rubbing it over my skin, trying it over and over again. The result...is the worst skin ever. At first everything is very red and erupted, later on very noticable scabs will form, leaving scars and marks for months or forever.
Maybe it's just me, but I really won't advice this to the face-pickers among us! You're better off without, I know I am!!

Since blackhead strips don't work for me, I thought I would try this. There are 2 loops on this tool: the smaller one for blackheads and the larger one for whiteheads. I've never gotten the big one to work on my whiteheads, but the blackhead loop works great without much pain. My mom had one of those old school ones and I remebered that those extractors hurt! This is not near as bad.

I ususally extract a several after I get out of the shower (that way my pores are open). I don't extract all of them at once since I have so many blackheads. They pop put without an issue!
