I received a sample from olay's website and have been using it as a neck cream for the past 2-3 weeks. I've not noticed any firming effects and its just an average moisturiser in terms of hydrating the skin. Its heavily fragranced, I can still smell in after an hour or two after usage. Its a nice fragrance but very empowering for a skincare product.
No effect from using it!

Used this for a few years and while it did not blow me away (I could not honestly see improvements to any of the 7 signs of ageing – then again I’m only 28), it served its purpose. However, I will not be re-purchasing as I have decided to switch to oils for my night cream and it appears this product contains polyacrylamide which apparently is bad news as there MAY be trace amounts of acrylamide, which is toxic. Might be overreacting but I don’t like the product enough to risk it.

PROS:
-Skintone is more even when I wake up after putting TENFC before bed.
-Does not sting eye area and seems to work as an eye cream as well (Although I do layer another eye cream ontop )
-Does not aggrevate acne
-Easy to find, average price
-Nice texture, not too thick but thick enough that it wouldn't be accepted as a daytime cream.
-Comfortable on face while sleeping and is not messy
-Did not wake up with my face feeling dirty and oily (this usually happens with any cream.)

CONS:
-Packaging in a pot (unsanitary)
-Could feel that my face was 'tighter' but it also felt to be a bit more dry and the 'tight' feeling was a bit itchy. This may also be because of the weather but is also unusual for my skin.

I'm not sure if this helps with wrinkles as I am only 22 and am using this as a preventative measure. I do have minor fine lines under my eyes that have improved, but I started using a new eye cream at the same time so I am not sure which cream improved my skin. (Garnier Ultra-lift eye cream.. Or something like that.)

As with the Total Effects Blemish moisturiser this is totally sorting out my skin! I have fewer blemishes, my skin tone is more even, I am no longer dry and flaky, ny lines are less noticeable! It does what it says on the tin!

I never thought I would say this about a drugstore brand chock full of chemicals, but it this is my HG for the moment! (Sometimes natural just doesn't do the job :-( )

I tried this product after all the great reviews here and I must say I am sold on this. It really does tighten up my skin and it really glows. I have tried so many products and was really skeptical that this would deliver but it definitely did! I tend to have very sensitive skin and have not had any problems with irritation. Will definitely buy again!


EDIT: After several uses it caused my skin a lot of irritation. I guess it took a little while but my skin started burning and being very irritated. As soon as I stopped using this product the problem went away. Too bad because it seemed to really tighten my skin.

A great night cream, especially when used with the Total Effects Moisturizer with UV. I have seen the dramatic improvement of my skin after a few weeks of religiously using it. My skin looks clearer, smoother, "tighter" and younger, so to speak. I also use this occassionally on my bust. This must be the best night cream I've ever used so far.

I have rosacea. So, it goes hand in hand with having sensitive skin. When I began using this product, my complexion was clear. There were no breakouts or signs of redness at all. I tried using this product over a period of a month and each time I used it, my skin would break out. Not to mention that this product does nothing to firm the skin!!

It might be a nice moisturizer for some people but NOT for me or anyone with sensitive skin!

It’s become nothing more than a heavily scented /overpriced hand cream.

This cream is absolutely non-greasy, yet very moisturizing. Its finish is matte, no matter how thick a layer I apply. It has never irritated my sensitive skin or made me break out. It's lovely to wake up in the morning with soft skin that's not oily. The scent seemed strong to me at first--it's a floral scent--but I've gotten used to it, and now like it.

this is amazing. it makes my skin ridiculously soft and firm. it moisturizes very well, and makes my skin radiate. i love the smell; i didn't find it overwhelming like some of the reviewers. it absorbs quickly and doesn't leave my face feeling oily or suffocated. i definitely recommend this.

I really like this product. I like all the Olay Total Effect products. My face did not break out at all and my face actually felt tighter, Firmer. The smell is fresh, The price is around $12.99. My skin looks clearer. I also use it under my eyes. In my opinion, well worth a try. I am 41 years old. I need all the help that I can get! ha-ha. My skin is combination . Before perimenapause it was oily.

I had such high hopes for this product, having been an Olay Complete advocate...but this product did nothing but give me red, blotchy skin the next day after I applied this the night before. And it caused my breakouts into little zits that I never had in the past. I'm better off without using a night cream if it were gonna be like this. Ugh. Am staying away from this product and will just stick to Olay Complete for day wear.

Youch! Burning, stinging red skin after application!! I do have sensitive skin, but have used many moisturizers effectively - apparently not this. It will be promptly returned to the store!

First of all there seems to be some confusion about which this product is, i am refering to the one in the short wide black pump night cream. I used this many years back and i remember that it worked for me then and have been using again for the last couple of months.
My skin is normal and not sensitive (though my eyes are sensitive to strong smelling creams).
The texture is non oily, very milky and on the thinner side. As a result it can take a minute or so to rub in completely. It tends to leave a white film so I use just before i jump into bed. It does smell and it does sting my eyes in the morning if applied above the cheeks. I have given this product a four because i can clearly see results. Next morning i get an even (albeit whiter) tone and the skin surface is more even and smooth. I have not given it a five because these effects are pretty short lived even by the same evening I can no longer tell I have used it and it seems there is no commulative benefit over the long term. Still better than nothing!!

moisturized my skin at night. easily absorbed. not sticky. i use all total effect range from its day moisturizer, serum and night cream. very satisfied with all of them. :)

I'm pretty impressed with this - it's less than half the price of the Clinique Continuous Rescue I was using before and had made my skin smoother and clearer. It also doesn't sensitise my face like some creams.
It feels light to smooth on and absorbs quickly but has plenty of moisture. I also like the hygenic pump packaging. My main complaint with this is that cheap fragrance which stops it feeling like a quality product, but it is giving good results so I think I will stick with it for now.

I would really love to rave about this night cream, the non-greasy formula feels great on my oily skin! But after using it for about a week it started to break me out terribly, My skin is usually not the sensitive type, so I was surprised to get these scattered breakouts, redness and itches in my face. After 1 week of seeing no improvement, I quit using this night cream and my face recovered in just a few days.

I like some of the other Olay products (though they're not skin care geniuses; they just don't screw up the basics as so many others do), but this was a disapointment. I've now used most of it and all I got from it is oiliness by noon and a greasy feeling. It didn't even prevent flakes. Plus, the packaging is unhygienic. Bottom line: nowhere near being worth its price.

I like this moisturizer however, it's not hydrating enough for me. I have a few dehydration lines on the right side of my face (these lines weren't there a few months ago) and I've been using this product for 17 months. Outside of my occasional acne outbreaks, my skin is clear, even-toned and smooth. In addition to the aforementioned positives, this moisturizer doesn't clog my pores so I guess that should count for something?. I am going to continue to use Olay Night Cream until I can find something better.
