After many decades of searching, I have found my red lipstick. That is all. This review sums it up. I wear this lipstick to work and for going out. HG status, I feel royal and classic beauty in candy apple.
Btw, Im NC40-42 and brick reds look better on me (red browns, red oranges), all pink reds turn burgundy and look hideous on me. I also tried cherry tart and hated it.

What I love about this shade is that it's not too sheer or not too pigmented.. I really honestly think I'd use this up very very quickly.. it's a lovely red tint lipstick.. not bold for dramatic looks.. I would wear this every single day I really would.. It looks like I have red lipstick on but it's not vampire daring red.. it's just a sweet red and I've never found a red like this shade that looks so innocent!! Love it..

I love this colour and I love how moisturizing they are! Its a great shade of red and it has lots of sheen. I love that it does not dry out the lips and lasts quite a long time. The colour is definitely appropriately named too!

I am not usually one to reach for red lipsticks, but this is an exception!
The formula is lovely and smooth, and the colour is my perfect red.
The colour is not too much which I love.
I would definitely recommend this product!

These lipsticks were my introduction into the world of lip color because before these I didn't wear anything on my lips, not even balm and I must admit I love them. They were a great product for me as a beginner because they are so reasonably priced that I could experiment with the colors without spending a fortune, great for me since I was still learning what colors work for me. The tubing for the lipstick is pretty sturdy too and remains snapped shut which I appreciated because mine get tossed into my makeup bag. The lip butter itself is super smooth and the color pay off is pretty good, I did wish they were flavored though because since I wear them so much it would've been nice to have the matching scent and flavor to the lipstick name. Overall I would recommend them, I currently have 3 and will be buying more.

These lip butters are the perfect alternative to heavy lipstick in the summer! Candy Apple is a nice bright red leaning towards orange that is completely free of glitter or shimmer! There is no need to apply lip balm underneath this lip butter and the color stays on for hours. Great for building up a more and more opaque shade, with the first swipe being nicely sheer and natural looking. Brightens up your face considerably i you have my NC25 skin. Only downside is that it's a little pricey for such little product in the tube, and can get sticky when you apply too much.

I am NW20, with almost black hair, brown eyes. Cherry Tart is MUCH better suited for my skin tone than Candy Apple. CA just sits on my lips not doing much for my complexion. CT just pulls my whole face together. So if you like more yellow/orange reds go for Candy Apple (or if you have more yellow in your skin...NC). If you like more berry/pink based reds go for CherryTart.

I was pleasantly surprised by this product. Normally, I am not one to reach for red lipcolors, as they are impractical in my lifestyle. However, this one has changed my mind a little about that! There has been so much hype around these that I had to buy one. Candy Apple was the only one left, but I really didn't care. At first, honestly, I thought they would be overly greasy, because that's what I think of when I think "butter". However, after wearing it a few times, I saw that it did not dry out at all or need too many reapplications, unlike most lipsticks I've had. That was very nice. The product gave my lips a slight sheen to them, but it was a very natural and healthy one. I especially loved the color itself- it's a bit more pomegranate-pink toned rather than supremely red toned, so I would especially recommend this lipstick to anyone who has yellow or olive undertones, and also it looks best on tanned skin. It just gives a really nice harmony of tones. It is really great to use, I think, after a day of wearing lipstain to kinda bring the lips back to smooth. The staying power is awesome. The packaging I think is really cute, that it shows the color of the actual product for easy access. I got the lip butter for $8, which is an okay price for a lipstick. You do not get a ton of product though. I love the lip butters, will definetely buy more!

Very long-lasting, very pigmented, and very moisturizing! It's the perfect shade of red I have been looking for! This product is very versatile as it can be worn both sheer for daytime looks and opaque for parties. Either way, the color lasts and lasts! After a few applications, the tube started looking a bit messy with slightly melted lip butter around the rims, but it didn't affect the quality of the overall product!

So moisturizing! It is literally like a butter going on your lips but its not overly greasy/oily. You can build up the color to be as vibrant or muted as you want--candy apple is a gorgeous red. The price is ok, not cheap but not expensive, and the product does pay off by softening your lips. Has fairly long wear.
However, the lip butter can smoosh up against the tube even when you are just twisting it up and down. Also, these products cannot withstand heat so do not put them in your car on a hot summer day they will melt and make a mess. Overall this product is great and I will be repurchasing another revlon lip butter, though perhaps in a less bright color.

Most of the colors of these lip butters are not flattering on me including this shade. Most of my lip butter turned to mush after a few roll ups and downs after use. The packaging is cute though. Overall, I've had better lip color pay off, more flattering shades, and moisture in other lip products.

I want to start by saying that I've been looking for a sheer red lipcolor for YEARS. Every one I would find would be too opaque, too dark, too sheer or if the shade was ok, it would wear off & leave a dreaded pink outline around my lips.
But these are EXACTLY what I've been looking for. Just the right amount of color and they leave a nice stain on the lips with no uneven wear lines.
Now, for a comment on the shade. Yes, it is an orange-y red. But it's not hard to wear, even for me (NW10). What helps is to keep the rest of your makeup in the same color family. For example, when I wore Candy Apple the other day, I paired it with Cover Girl Mink eyeshadow (a copper shade) and I either wore a light bronzer on my cheeks or Milani Luminous blush.

It's funny a lot of gals hoped this would be less orange - I saw the color of the tube and hoped it would be more orange, as the tube is. I'd call it an orange-tinged red, like some candy apples come out. I love lip butters and balms for summer. This one is pigmented enough to be used as a lipstick replacement all year. It's moisturizing but still much more opaque than I expected from a 'butter.' I also have added Cover Girl Wetslicks gloss in watermelon over this color and it adds the nicest reddish shine - very good together!

This is a good orange red on me with lots of shine and no glitter - yay! I hate glitter. I've been wanting a shiny finish red for a while but don't want to bother with lipstick topped with gloss, and I haven't been able to find an opaque gloss in a red shade that suits me.
The downside:
I agree with comments that the tube is not easy to open, and that it dries out the lips rather than moisturises them. I have ticked that I would repurchase and I probably will, but who knows. I am always on the hunt for the perfect red lipstick, and I like the Superlustrous revlon lippies so much better.

Gosh, I dont know how to express this right.
1) The color is absolutely wonderful. However, as I use a little for everytime, it turns in to a little bit orange but still looks fabulous!
2) The smell is ok. not greasy, and dries out
3) It doesn't last long it's stated. So sad!
4) I can't make my lips have exactly the color of the lip!

Easily my favorite lip butter from Revlon. No glitter chunks or shimmer, just a nice red-y orange color that feels moisturizing when you apply it. My only complaint is the packaging for all of the lip butters..cute but not easy to open!! Especially for someone with no nails like me :P

Ehh, this isn't my favorite Lip Butter. Yet it's not my least favorite, & I'd actually rebuy if I was in need of a red lipstain. The issue I'm having with Revlon Lip Butters is that none of the shades are truly unique, & most of them are cool toned (leaving warm toned ladies such as myself out). Oh...& a lot of the lip butters have either a frost finish or huge glitter chunks. Gross.
Back to Candy Apple, this is a true red lipstain that can be built up to look like lipstick. Thankfully it does not have any shimmer, glitter, or frost. It's easier to wear than most red lip products, & you can choose/adjust the coverage based on how heavily/lightly you apply it.

This is not a sheer shade- its quite opaque
This is a coral-orange red shade (was hoping for a pink /fuchisa red by the name)
As a product its okay but I will be purchasing Dior Addict in Red Carpet instead as I think the colour and texiure will be more like what I'm after.

I bought this at a local wal-mart,and i was surprise, the red color was just like a candied apple it goes well with my pale/fair skin, but the only thing is the packaging is shaped kinda stupid,it was a little hard to open at first, this is a totally repurchase again.
