I love Revlon Lip Butter in Cherry Tart. It really is the perfect red for me. I've looked long and hard and finally found a wearable red in this product. You can make it as dark or light as you wish. I like to just give it a swipe and its a sheer red and not very dark. If you want it dark you just apply with a heavier hand. It's the only red I've ever found that I can wear in the day and not look like I'm trying too hard. It feels good on the lips, not sticky and there is no noticeable smell for me. The packaging is okay. Nothing fancy but not too cheap and flimsy. The price is right too. I also own a pink shade of the lip butter but I keep going back to use Cherry Tart everyday. This color is perfect for those with cool undertones looking for an everyday red.

Cherry Tart--what an appropriate name for this color! So often the color name of a product just doesn't fit the actual color, but in this case, I think it really does! This is my second Colorburst Lip Butter, the other I bought is Pink Truffle. I wanted a brighter, more vivid color. I used to wear a lot of vivid colors, as I have gotten older I tend to buy more neutral colors. This looked so pretty, and I thought that since it is a bit sheerer of a formula, it would be easy to wear, and I was right. It's just a pretty pop of color, and I can layer it if I want a more opaque look. It's a nice formula. It is not long lasting, but I also don't find it to wear off too quickly, either. It feels so nice and smooth on my lips. I really like these, and I plan to buy more of them.

I am EXTREMELY fair-skinned (I swear I'm almost translucent). Because of that, I've never been able to find a shade of red that worked on my lips that wasn't just OMG IN YOUR FACE (which I definitely do not want). But I think I've finally found a red I can actually wear without looking ridiculous. Cherry Tart has a blue-ish undertone, which makes it absolutely ideal for my cool, fair complexion. I get to keep my pale skin and have a pretty, cherry-colored lip and not look overdone. Absolutely love it. As with all the other lip butters in this line (I have ... um, six of them? LOL I am a fan!), this is extremely moisturizing and smooth-feeling on my lips. Will repurchase again and again.

My favourite lipstick so far! The cold weather really did dry out my lips and I was on the hunt for a very moisturizing lipstick. After months of waiting, and even with some very unsuccessful trips to the states in search of these, I finally purchased my first batch. Out of all the colours, this has to be my favourite. It is a pinkish red or "cherry red" and it looks very flattering. These lip butters definitely lived up to their "moisturizing" qualities. My lips were never dry, cracked, or irritated. As for its staying-power, I find myself having to reapply it quite often. I would lightly pat/dab the lipstick onto my lips for a stained look and leave it as it is, or I would reapply another coat of lipstick after staining my lips to increase its staying-power.The packaging is not the best, but its still cute. I would definitely repurchase this lipstick again!

I am definitely NOT on the lip butter bandwagon. I found that the packaging felt flimsy and made of potentially-breakable plastic (more easily than normal), and the cap was loose-fitting. As for the butter, it was drying, for me not as pigmented in this shade as others have said, lasts only about an hour before reapplication is necessary, and in general, was very disappointing considering the hype. This was the nail in the drugstore coffin for me, and the only d/s products I've tried that I actually love (and I've tried them all despite persistent failures), are Revlon Just Bitten lip stains, and Maybelline Volum Express Falsies Flared Mascara.

Ahh, now *this* is a red I can wear! I really love rockin' the red lip, but I don't want anything too in your face; I prefer something more appropriate for daytime, that I can build for a more intense night look if need be. Cherry Tart is that sort of shade. I'm happy that this is a more cool-toned, blue based red; it's more flattering on my skintone. I usually blot the lip butter on for a more subtle, slight cherry stain. The lasting power isn't very good for any of these lip butters (I find I have to re-apply every hour or so), but that's be expected for a lip gloss/butter type product. I'm in love with these new lip butters! Try Cherry Tart if you get the chance! Those afraid of red lips will soon be converted!

I thought this would be a dupe of my beloved LQ Medieval so I gave it a shot when they had a BOGO at Walgreens. It's pretty close in that it gives a nice pop of bright, true red that's sheer enough not to be a statement lip. It falls short by being ever so slightly on the blue side and having a little more shimmer than a shade of this sort should have.

This lasted surprisingly long on my lips, given the texture.

I wore this to work and checked the mirror about four hours later. The colour was still there (a little faded in the centre of the lips, but that's to be expected). I loved the balm/gloss texture already so the great pigmentation was an added bonus.

This colour is cool-toned but very flattering on my light olive skin (NC25). It does have a faint shimmer but is not as pronounced as others in this line. It may be applied as a stain, a sheer wash of colour, or a full-on cherry red lip. Even applied at full strength this has a jelly-like transparency to it so it isn't completely opaque which makes it perfect for people new to a bold lip.

The only issue I have with this line in general is the packaging. The exterior is nice and classy but the twist-up action has gotten stuck and stopped working on 2 of my lip butters.

I wanted a red lipstick that didn't enter the room before I did. Found it in Revlon Lip Butter in Cherry Tart. Beautiful texture --somewhere between a gloss and lipstick--the color is perfect, texture lovely. I think that this lineup of lipsticks rivals many in the $30 - $50 range, not necessarily in longevity, but in beautiful texture and most importantly the color. I have this also in Tutti Fruitti, and many people have stopped to ask what I was wearing. Couldn't recommend this more highly, except for the packaging. Hard to get the tube to separate, although that isn't a deal breaker. Also, the packing looks kind of cheap. Also not a deal breaker. Often reviewers add a caveat to their reviews "for the money" implying that the product they are reviewing is the best within the cheaper category. Not so this one. It rivals the most expensive brands out there.

I tried these and loved the texture and the hint of colour. I read on here the good reviews for this shade and decided to gave it a try. I was not disappointed. This is a beautiful shade of red and due to it's sheerness is very wearable. It isn't super long-lasting but I wouldn't expect that from a lip butter. Glad I found this :)

I really like the revlon lip butters, and this is one of their best! I don't think it's as popular as their candy apple lip butter, but owning both and comparing the two, I think this one is better. It's a bright, cherry red, with blue undertones and a little shimmer (you can't really see the shimmer when you're wearing it though). This is a really cool, true red, whereas candy apple is a more warm red that leans slightly orange. I don't use this everyday, but if you need a cool red in your makeup stash, i highly reccomend cherry tart.

Wow...you were right MUA! This is a great wearable red for fair skinned folks. If you want a "juicy red"...here it is. This gives me the perfect Snow White look w/out making my lips walk in the room before me. I am MAC NW20.w/ black/brown hair & brown eyes.

Wow, I seriously think that this is the sheer red colour I've been searching for for years! It's my lippie soul mate! Beautiful pinky red, not too sheer but pigmented enough. Great moisturizing properties, dries to a natural red pigment on your lips. I think I need to stockpile this immediately.

I love these lip butters in general. They are like a gloss in that I can swipe them on quickly and easily without really having to worry too much about access to a mirror. And like the best glosses and balms, they feel very moisturizing. But they have more staying power and the pigmentation of a lipstick, so what's not to love with these?

I got Cherry Tart on sale last week but was "saving it" to wear for Valentine's Day (yesterday). It's such a pretty, clear cheery cherry red but not overpowering. It reminds me a lot of TheBalm's "Wanted" lipstick both in colour and texture (I only have this in the Balmbini palette, where it's in a pan; don't know if the regular one in the trad. lipstick tube is a different texture, though). Such a perfect shade for cool toned ladies and just a really flattering and easy product to wear.

I will jump in with all the postive reviews on these lip butters. The texture is silky, creamy, and luscious and the colors are highly pigmented. Cherry Tart is a vibrant cherry red with slight blue undertones, no orange at all like in Candy Apple. I love the jewel toned packaging. Cherry Tart is a gorgeous red that I think would look great on a variety of skin tones. Go grab this now!

I think I found my HG of lip balms.. Revlon's Lip Butter does WONDERS for my lips. They keep them super moisturized throughout the day, and are super pigmented for a lip balm. However, Revlon's lip butters are like nail polish. The first layer will be sheer, but become opaque when you add more layers. I find that I don't like the texture of lipgloss (too sticky and heavy) and lipstick makes my lips look chapped, even when I put on lip balm before. But Revlon's Lip butters are the perfect combination between lip balms and lipsticks. I now own three colors: Peach Parfait, Sweet Tart and Cherry Tart. I'm in love!

Love the shade and the texture! I have been wearing nude / baby pink lipsticks and lip glosses for the longest time and I am starting to get sick of those light shades. Recently I am in a mood to wear darker shades (and also because its winter now) especially reds or burgandy kind of colours, but I don't want a too dramatic bold look so I was looking for a balmy type of lipsticks that is semi-sheer. I went to Shoppers Drug Mart and I found these lip butters, first of all, the packaging is pretty, I like that they use the actual shade of the lipstick as the exterior package colour. I originally bought the shade "Candy Apple" since they only had the tester for "Candy Apple" but no tester for "cherry tart", So i have to decide which one I want by just guessing. I thought these 2 shades look so similar and I couldn't really tell the difference. So I bought "Candy Apple" since I tested that one and it seems pretty. After wearing it a few times, I decided it is too bright and too orangy-red for me, and this orange-tone doesn't really match my daily makeup looks. I was curious about "Cherry Tart" so I went back to the store and also bought it. I am glad I did, the colour is so gorgous, it's still red, but a sheer red that is way easier to wear than "Candy Apple", you can apply one light coat and the colour is like a dark rasberry sheen, really pretty, and if you want it to to be darker, you can put on 2 or 3 coats and it will be a nice red with a dark-pink understone (instead of an orangey undertone like "Candy Apply" which I didn't like). So I think this shade is so versatile, I can carry this in my purse and I can wear it lighter or darker according to what I feel like. You cannot do that for "Candy Apply", that one once you apply its already too pigmented and true to colour. So I really love "Cherry Tart" and I recommended you to try it especially if you are trying to wear red lips but don't want your lips to look too bold.

After all the hype about this product I had to try it out myself. I have to say that I expected a bit more moisture as everyone claims that it's so moisturizing, I guess they were comparing it to lipsticks in general. Overall I like this product, not love, like. I'm also kind of disappointed by how little is in there!! I would really give this a 3.5 for those two reasons, but other than that, I like the product and would purchase again, but will wait awhile before I do so.

Revlon's Color Burst Lip Butters are super trendy lipstick-lip balm hybrids. These are one of the most talked about new products along with Urban Decay's Naked 2 and Maybelline's Color Tattoos. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who isn't foaming at the mouth, raving about them (not that I don't like them). Revlon states that these lip butters contain mango, shea, and coconut butter to improve the moisture level in your lips and claim that 94% of women saw an improvement in their lips moisture level. Revlon's Color Burst Lip Butters are available at drugstores, Ulta, and mass retailers, but can be hard to find due to their explosive popularity. These lip butters come in a wide variety of shades, 20 I think. Revlon products are not tested on animals, but I've heard otherwise, so use at your own discretion. I purchased mine in the shade Cherry Tart, at Ulta for $7.49.
Get ready for another rant on how much I love Revlon packaging. I think the packaging looks very high end and classy, while still being cute, fun, and modern. The cap is color coordinated with the shade of the product, so choosing a lip butter is pretty easy. In the case of Cherry Tart, the cap is bright red. The cap is a frosted plastic with a quilted design on two sides, which I believe is featured on all Color Burst lip products. The twist up mechanism is silver metal and twists easily. The base is black with the Revlon logo on it. Beautiful. You know your makeup looks cool when several men have told you how awesome your lipstick looks, or in the words of my roommate, "futuristic." The only small problem I have with these is I can't get the cap off very easily. I guess that might make it a little more purse-friendly though.
Revlon's Color Burst Lip Butters have a unique texture. They really do feel like a lip balm-lipstick hybrid, almost like a lip gloss in stick form. Though they're similar to a lip balm, I don't suggest mindlessly slathering them on, like I did the first time I used mine. I didn't expect them to have the same pigmentation as a sheer lipstick. Lip Butters definitely need the slower, more careful and precise application of a lipstick.
I expected these to feel different on the lips. For one, I expected them to go on thinner. I also expected them to be more hydrating. Everyone goes on about how super moisturizing these are and I'm just not feeling it. Yes, they are a little more moisturizing than your average lipstick, but no where near as much as a balm. I'm kinda disappointed. When my lips need more hydration, I'll stick to chapstick or Vaseline.
On the lips they feel like a thick gloss or a slightly wax lipstick. It's not particularly comfortable, and its almost distracting.
Cherry Tart is a sheer, blue toned red. It's very flattering and easy to wear. I have a hard time finding wearable red lip products, because of how fair and cool toned I am. It's definitely wearable enough for day, and its usually what I wear to work. In the tube it shows a little bit of shimmer, but it doesn't transfer to the lips. Instead you get a pretty, glossy finish. Cherry Tart goes on fairly sheer, but can be built up to be a deeper, brighter red with multiple swipes.

Wear time is good, longer than I expected. I get about an hour of glossiness and three or four hours of color. Pretty impressive for a product that's basically just a glorified lip balm. I expected an hour's wear at best.
Overall, Revlon's Color Burst Lip Butters are a unique product that's a little bit over hyped. They give a pretty, sheer wash of color with nice shine and a bit of moisture, not to mention awesome packaging. However I think they're a little bit pricey for what they are. You also don't get a ton of product. I'm not sure how much you get exactly, but I feel like I'm working my way through Cherry Tart pretty fast, faster than normal. I want to get another one, maybe two, but I'll probably wait until they're on sale or I have a coupon.
I shouldn't really bother to recommend Revlon Lip Butters, as you probably already have at least one. If not, jump on the band wagon and try one, you'll probably like something about it. Cherry Tart is a good choice for a wearable red lip. I'll probably repurchase it.

Cherry Tart is my second Lip Butter with Raspberry Pie being my first. I gave only 4 stars to Cherry Tart because it is not as pigmented as the Raspberry Pie. I have to apply 2 or 3 coats to get the desired color of a cool, deep red/cherry color. Other than that, I really like these Lip Butters. They are moisturizing and have a bit of shine. They are not long lasting, but that doesn't bother me because I reapply lip products even when I don't need to reapply. It is just a habit for which I am made fun of. But I don't care.
Anyway, I recommend these Lip Butters.
