Guess I got a different bottle or something.. I was really disturbed after reading most of the reviews! Because of this stuff, my lashes are back on the map! My lashes have always been my weakest facial point - short, and sparse. No matter how hard I've tried to play them up,they've never made me or anyone else go 'Wow!' But I went 'wow' this morning. Lots of complaints about the brush, which is fat and then tapers off, but I found it easy to use, with amazing coverage in a nice, dramatic black! I even found some lashes I didn't know I had! I didn't find the drying time unreasonable, and my lashes aren't overly brittle-feeling. While my lashes do look somewhat fuller, the beauty of this product came in the lengthening department! I can look in my mirror and actually NOTICE my eye-lashes without looking hard! My 14yr old also noticed, and is now nagging me to share or get her some! Very pleased at a reasonable price!

The packaging is amazing and pretty cool. I love the brush. However sometimes it can go on a little thick. I wear false lashes so this helps my real lashes blend in with the falsies. However I've found way better mascara other than this. It was just okay.

This is my favorite mascara! In the past, I found that alot of mascaras that have a wet formula don't work well with my lashes bc they are quite long and I always make a mess of it! However this mascara's formula is kind of wet, I only get a few spots on my lid that I can cover easily! It lengthens really well thanks to the amazing brush! It also separates my lashes! All in all, I love this mascara and I'd say if u haven't tried it, you def should!

I love this mascara! I have tried sooo many, l'oreal, clinique, maybelline, and so on and so forth.. but this one is by far the best mascara I've ever used.
when I put this on, my lashes are full and thick, not to mention incredibly long.
I love this product, it's cheap and it works perfectly!

My first day wearing this mascara and so far so good. It reminded me a maybelline full and soft mascara. It gives me feathery lashes thanks to its small brush. Perfect for bottom lashes. And I have been wearing it for six hours and there is no flaking. It is a bit expensive for drugstore at nine dollars. Maybelline full and soft is still my number one though. This one is more difficult to remove and I find dries out my lashes.

I bought this mascara because I had an incident using Ardell LashTite with individual lashes and they refused to come off, even with the adhesive remover. Anyway, long story short, I ended up losing quite a few of my lashes in the process, and felt completely naked and needed something that would help my lashes to grow back while giving my existing lashes some much needed oomph.
I bought this one because it boasted some "Lash boosting complex" that was supposed to help my lashes grow longer and more numerous in only "30 days". I cannot attest to that because I also use the Lash Accelerator serum about 3-4x/week. During the day time I use false lashes and this mascara under my lashes.
Initially I did not like this mascara because the wet formula didn't seem to work with so few lashes, I felt like it just made them look skinny and like sticks, so after 2 uses I put it away for a few weeks. I tried it again today (after having been using the lash accelerator serum for a few weeks) and wow, I like! You have to use the side of the brush that is wider in order to get the voluminous look that the packaging promises. I feel like the formula needed to dry out for a bit for it to work properly for me, so points for that. It does take out a bit of my curl after I apply, so I curl my lashes before and after application.
I still wear false lashes during the day (Ardell 110) to add more lushness to my lashline, but this mascara works well on its own too. I would say that at least I know the Lash Accelerator serum by Rimmel works -- my lashes have all grown back and are longer and thicker than they were before!
But... my favourite mascara is still L'Oreal Voluminous waterproof.

Good overall mascara. Does the lash boosting complex work? It does, but it gives more length than it does volume. I would of prefered more volume as that's what the product promises but for sure you'll notice a difference in growth. The brush is nice in that it's big but still has a tapered end for hard to reach places. The formula is ok but tends to get a little clumpy after you've used it for a while. I don't find that the formula smudges easily but do not allow contact with water. Crying will make it run like crazy!

Someone gifted me a Elizabeth Arden Double Density Mascara sometime ago, so perhaps I have been spoiled. Thinking the $20+ on mascara is a little pricey since hubby is back in school, I gave the Rimmel Volume Accelerator Mascara a try. For lack of words to describe my discontent with the product I will use a string of adjectives that best conjure up my experience: runny, smudgy, cheap, incapable of drying in a reasonable amount of time. I often unwittingly ended up looking like I was trying out for the part of Elvira due to the amount of mascara surrounding my eyes in streaks. I ended up having to throw it away and spent inevitably spent the big money on a Clinique mascara with which I am happy. Not a good way to save money. To sum it up: Not cool.

Disappointing. I have long lashes but would like more volume. So I'm always looking for a good voluminizing mascara. This wasn't it. It was a little clumpy and did not add any volume at all. Returned it and tried the Colossal which added more volume to my lashes.

I got this mascara in a goodie bag the other day and I was so excited to try it out. I have this love/hate relationship with my every day mascara (max factor false lash effect) and I was hoping to find something to replace it. Anyway when I tried it on it gave me more length than volume in my opinion and even that wasnt very special. It was easy to apply though and I thought the packaging was quite cool. Overall I thought it was a decent mascara, but there are far better ones out there.

This has become my favorite mascara for many reasons. For starters I love the brush it makes it insanely easy for me to apply with the tapered tip. I also love how dark it is and the fact that it lasts (unless you meet water). My favorite thing about it probably is the fact of how I have more lashes than I ever have, they are now my idea of "perfect lashes" (unfortunately my lashes are blonde so I still can't go without mascara). Not to mention the formula makes me look like I'm wearing falsies. However it does take some getting used to and if you don't have the time to play with it a little you probably won't like it as much as I do.

I would say I have a love/hate thing with this mascara, but I don't think I'm even that passionate about it. I grabbed it because it was cheap, and I'd never tried Rimmel mascara. I have to say that I have very long, very thick lashes naturally, and this makes them absolutely *insane*, but it's too finicky for me. The wiper in the tube is insufficient, and the wand comes out overloaded with product, which is an oddly thick liquid. If I'm very careful to wipe the wand against the tube as I pull it out--or if I wipe it off on some tissue--it's great: not clumpy, lengthens and thickens dramatically, feels light, if slightly waxy, on lashes. If the wand isn't tended lovingly, however, it goes on way too heavily and practically turns lashes into one giant uni-lash. The other issue I have with it is removal. Even when applied sparingly, and taken off with an oil-based eye makeup remover, it seems there is *always* some left, especially on lower lashes, unless I rub much more than I'd prefer to. Despite the flaws, I keep going to it, day after day, so I obviously find it passable. I do really like the dramatic results it gives--I just hate all the finickiness. For that reason, i'll finish but will not (likely) repurchase. Also: asymmetrical brush is gimmicky and useless. Flat side always over-applies, fat side is ok.

I'm not sure why people are hating on this mascara. I have long lashes that are rather thin, and I LOVE this mascara. I definitely feel like it has made my lashes longer and fuller.

Very good volumizing mascara. At first it was a bit watery which almost every mascara is like that at first, but after a week i started really loving it! I have noticed my eyelashes have gotten a bit fuller. I wouldn't recommend this if your expected tons of volume but it did make them more fuller!

I bought this mascara because I needed a washable mascara instead of using my HG waterproof CG Lash Blast. I feel like using a waterproof mascara 24/7 makes removal difficult and I lose a few lashes sometimes.
Anyway, onto the review. I liked this mascara for a volume mascara. It gave decent volume and quite a bit of length. I'm not sure why everyone complained about the brush because I thought it was simple and easy to use. The bristles are the traditional kind (in Maybelline Great Lash, etc) and not the plastic bristles in newer mascaras. I can't rate its performance for growing my lashes out and making them appear thicker because 99% of the time those statements are just for marketing.
However, there were two reasons why this mascara lost a lippie. 1) This formula is wet wet wet. It takes ages to dry and you'll probably smudge it while it's drying. 2) This doesn't hold curl at all. The more strokes you do with the wand, the heavier it gets and the more your curl droops.
But other than that, this is a good drugstore mascara and it's staying in my makeup bag. :)

I got this as a present so I wasn't sure of the price. But the packaging is bulky, but that would make sense because of the wand. The wand is quite big, and large. Similar to Maybelline's Collosal, but bigger. It's literally the size of my eye!
It gives a nice, clean effect with one coat, no clumps, just glides on. Along with the first coat it lengthens nicely, very natural looking.
Second coat, still no clumping, nice, clean looking lashes. Lengthens again, but no volume was added. Lashes are also darkened, but no volume whatsoever.
I recommend this product to those with thick lashes who just need length. Or, if you're starting out with makeup and want to look natural, choose this mascara.
Want volume? Do NOT but this mascara.
Want length? Try it out!

I prefer the original version to this. The brush is annoying!! I have to run it through a tissue before applying because it has too much product on the edges. Does give volume like it says it does, and my lashes feel moisturized and since I was using the normal version for 3 months before this I can say that I HAVE seen more lash growth/longer lashes.

Not sure why there's so much hate on this product.... i don't have a ton of good things to say about it but i felt like i had to come on here and write a review saying it's NOT THAT BAD AT ALL.
i've used this for a few days now so i also can't review the lash-growing claims of this product, but i actually think it might do a little something for that. my lashes so seem a bit longer than before, although i can't say they've gotten any thicker.
the product isn't bad! i sort of like it, but it's true that it's not the best mascara out there. the brush is a horror......i still cannot figure out how i should use it. they sliced off the bristles on one side of the brush....i'm not sure why but it's awful because sometimes i'll accidently use that side and ugh it just gets annoying. if you maneuver the brush well though, it can give you some nice results. it's a little on the clumpy side...but it's easy to fix and a little clump is sometimes good for me because i have some thin lashes. i really do like the results it gives me because my lashes look a lot more noticeable and a lot bigger and darker than the other mascaras i use.
the clump isn't the best...the brush is awful.....but the reason why i will never buy this product again is because of the price. i paid almost $9 for this product....and i'm hoping that price reflects it's lash-growing properties so it better make my lashes fuller.....but because it's an overall average mascara for a price that's on the higher side....i won't be buying it again. it's worth a try maybe but if you're saving money, don't buy this. i've used some fantastic mascaras that are unadvertised and are way cheap compared to this, and i know i'll be returning to those mascaras once this runs dry.

I've only worn this about 6 times so I'm not going to review the claims growing thicker lashes. I don't believe it will, otherwise Latisse wouldn't be needed or a prescription only product.
I like how it makes my lashes look. Decent length and nice volume. My lashes are longer and thick that most mascara look okay though. I like how the formula is a little runnier, it helps build the volume. But the runnier formula also means you have to take your time or it will be messy. I wish the bulb part of the wand wasn't so exaggerated. If it was a little bit smaller it would be really nice. I considered returning this, but I haven''t. I won't repurchase it again though. I like it enough to use it up but the wand is a little too much for my taste. Make the wand a bit smaller and bring the price down by a few dollars and I think I'd think about maybe buying it again :)
