I only use this product on my face. I haven't used it on the body yet. I bought it because I am very acne prone and it has not made me break out at all and it has a pretty good color. I will continue to purchase this product.

I really didnt like this product. It gave nice color, but it itched and it was very drying for my skin. When it started to come off it made me have lizard skin. It also didn't last all that long either.

This really made my neck burn for some strange reason. I usually don't have this kind of problem. Had to get out of bed and wash it off because it was really bugging me.

swapped for this. Wish I didn't. Very light color the next day. Took a long time to dry. I'm going to stick with foam self tanners.

I've had inconsistent results with this. It seems to work best when I've just slathered on a bunch of lotion. That cuts the intensity of the color, which can be a little orangey the first day or so. Also, I found it to be a little drying. Haven't tried it on my face. For the money, there are definitely better self-tanners out there.

I have tried many self tanners and several were excellent on my body. Virtually all made me break out on my face, though, except this one. The color is very natural and best of all it didn't irritate my face at all. I could finally have a "tan" on my face that matched my body. This is my HG self tanner. I'll never use anything else to tan my face again.
Oh, and I'm not a Paula follower. In fact, I don't agree with 92% of her opinions and reviews. This is just good stuff.

I LOVE this self tanner. I use it on my face and body. I am very pale so this self tanner makes me look less scary white and more natural, especially in the summer when it is just not normal to be as pale as I am. I love that it doesn't break me out, that it gives me light color on my face and darker color on my legs depending on how much I apply. As with all self tanners, the application process is annoying and smelly, but at least I know that with Paula's Choice I'm not going to break out afterwards. Great product.

Quite disappointed in this product. I was hoping for a great formulation, especially since I've had a lot of success with this line. The colour was okay, a little red for my liking. The problem was with the intense irritation and itching I experienced about an hour after applying. Too bad!

The gel-like consistency of this product is unusual. The advantage is that it's easy to apply a light, even coat. The disadvantage is that it's hard to apply a heavier coat should the desire arise.

This is the best self tanner I've tried in terms of looking remotely natural and going on evenly without streaking. I have fairly pale skin and it's hard to find a self tanner that doesn't look orangey fake on me. That's the good part. The bad? This is a bit pricey by my standards, $12.95 + shipping. For those who typically purchase Clarins self tanners that's probably no big deal but I tend to purchase such things at the drugstore and like to spend 5-6 bucks or less. Also, the smell of this one is just awful and takes forever to go away. I've tried a number of self tanners and it's true, none of them smell pleasant but I swear this one reminds me of wet dog or something. And with others the smell does fade away after a few hours but this one seems to make me stink for days. For those reasons I'm a bit torn on whether to repurchase. I'd like to find a self tanner that applied as nicely and evenly as this one but didn't make me gag. :(

This stuff might deserve a 3.5, but I won't buy it again. It is decent gel that glides on very, very smoothly. I have used it on my face because it will never cause breakouts. However, the color is medium & lasts pretty well, but sort of reddish. I prefer golden brown. It may look better on skins, though. Oh - and it isn't moisturizing at all (a bit drying actually) & I prefer a lotion texture when using self-tanners.

Not impressed. It turned my little-bit-darker-than-fair skin orange. Shipped it back to Paula.

This color is pretty dark. I don't like to use it on my face because it looks fake, and I have a hard time getting it to not make my feet look "dirty". Overall though (on legs, arms, chest) it is a nice, rich tan color. I've gotten lots of compliments. The consistency and smell are okay, not great but not horrible. There is a good chance I will buy it again, but I'll still keep searching for the ultimate self tanner.

Still haven't found my ultimate self-tanner, although this is a good one. Pluses: great, superb color and doesn't make me break out. Minuses: feels so oily after you put it on - I can hardly stand it, it is so uncomfortable. Takes forever to sink in. I get lizard skin from this - even with tons of moisturizing and exfoliating. I keep buying this because of the amazing, deep, and natural-looking color and that it doesn't make me break out. However, please Paula, do something about the texture!!

This was a good self tanning, but not for me. This is too dark for me and when its too dark it looks weird on me. I would suggest you put this on body but not on face. When I put it on my face it turn dark and a lil orange.

This tanner gives me a very natural looking tan in minimal time. I threw this in my pack before leaving for Maui and this self tanner made me look like I was local (hopefully not loco!). It can be tricky to manoever around the foot and the ankle so make sure the product is spread evenly. I did not notice the smell that others mentioned. I would definitely re-purchase.

This has a Great Caramel tan color to it unlike a few other self tanners I have tried. I don't like the smell, but that is almost always normal with these self tanners ;-) The reason I gave it a 3 was because it was streaky and I followed directions exactly! Good thing it's not summer yet and I can still hide my legs!

This is a very good self-tanner - dries quickly, gives an excellent colour and is easy to apply. The only downside of this product is the smell - PC products don't have any fragrance so this product smells very alcohol-y and it has that funky fake tan smell.

Wowzers. I am a GGG who has a big problem finding self tanners that either make me Peter Pumpkin Head or just dont show up. This one is perfect and feels great. Absolutely Perfect!

This is the first time I've tried self-tanner since I was a kid, and I love this stuff!
They seem to have eliminated the problem of the unpleasant orange color that used to be the mark of a self-tan. This one went on easily and evenly, and gave a natural-looking golden color.
The smell wasn't too great, but I hear that's a common problem with self-tanners. You have to plan ahead and order this one from the Paula's Choice website, but I definitely recommend it!
