I too have searched hi and lo for hair products that actually work and because of that I have close to a dozen different hair serums and leave in conditioner for my hair that has a mind of it's own.
When I finally purchased this product line, I was able to discard 96% of what I had. I still have a clarifying shampoo (Neutrogena) which I have not used since I started using the Macadamia shampoo and conditioner but am keeping for use after being in a pool. I also kept the L'Oreal Sulfate Free shampoo and conditioners to switch out to a couple of times in a month and Dove shampoo and conditioners whenever I have to take a 2nd shower at night.
This product line is a keeper and must admit that I have stopped looking for what else out there may work. I was pleasantly surprised of it's scent too, I am sensitive to fragrances and have friends and even strangers in several occasions liking the scent as well.
This has also significantly cut down the amount of time it takes for me to straighten my hair using a flat iron. The shine it gives my hair is amazing as well. I love that my hair does not feel nor look like it has "oil" on it. It actually feels natural.

This is a pretty decent "oil-serum", but it doesn't hold a candle to the original Moroccanoil. The idea, and ingredients, are very similar. This also has macadamia oil in addition to argan oil, and a few more ingredients overall than Moroccanoil. In terms of smoothing, defrizzing, and adding shine, the two are on par. But this does not give the same light, bouncy feeling that Moroccanoil does and it is much easier to over-do, particularly on dry hair. I used to use this exclusively before discovering Moroccanoil, and I was happy with it, but when I tried Moroccanoil this quickly got tossed in the closet. Besides not performing quite as well as Moroccanoil, my major problems with this are the scent and packaging. I'm not a big fan of the scent first of all, and it's pretty strong and does linger. It's a kind of smoky/incense scent and it reminds me of Angel perfume. If you like Angel, you might love this, but if you're not a fan, stay away. This is like Angel, extra heavy on the smoke and patchouli. Now as for the packaging, it's cute, but so impractical. There is no way you are going to travel with it, it just isn't going to happen. If you love it, invest in the mini bottles with a screw on cap. Not only does the pump not lock, the oil gets all over it making the whole bottle, and your hands and whatever else it touches, greasy. I decided to give this 3, even though it performs pretty well because a lot of silicone based oil serums perform well too. Maybe it deserves a 4, or at least a 3.5 (if that were possible), but because of the scent and packaging it's getting a 3.

This stuff is great! I can finally let my hair air dry and not straighten or blow dry it anymore! It completely takes away fizz and smoothed down my hair. It quite light weight for an oil treatment and you only have to use very little. It also made my hair SO soft and SO shiny its insane. My hair has never looked this good!! (I definitely recommend using a very little amount on wet hair for optimal results)

I love this oil. It leaves my hair shiny, smooth, silky, & frizz free. It works amazing in either damp or dry hair. A little goes a long way, so the bottle will last you a long time. It's expensive, but it's worth it. I also love the macadamia deep repair mask from this line. I highly reccommend, especially if you use heat tools on your hair.

I'm a little bit on the fence with this product. Some days, it makes my hair look amazing...other days it seems as though my hair looks frizzier. I'm a true blue Moroccan Oil fan. My hair is very thick and course and so I feel like I need an oilier oil rather than one that dissipates completely. Macadamia Nut Oil does leave my hair looking amazing but I have to use a ton of it to achieve the frizz fighting effects that I get from Moroccan Oil. Also, Macadamia Nut Oil definitly adds more volume to my hair. Volume is something I want less of due to my hair already being very thick and frizzy. The smell is somewhat annoying too...very much like a bad cologne smell. I still would probably buy again because it was cheaper than MO. With the right amount it works wonders.

I really like this product since I have thick dry coarse hair and it has helped a lot!! I will definately repurchase again.
The price is also very good compared to other oils for dry hair.

I LOVE this product, it keeps my hair shiny and healthy between washes and lessens my need to iron my hair so often, this helps my hair stay frizz free and keep its shine, the only problem is that if you apply it too often, it can get heavy and weigh your hair down and become very oily in your hair, but this happens when you do it everyday twice a day for a week like I do.. In moderation this is the perfect hair oil!

After recieving this as a Christmas present, I will definitley be purchasing this again. I use it like it says in the directions, applying to damp hair. This product makes it easier to brush and noticably makes my thick hair less frizzy.

I used Morrocan oil for years. I had bought a tiny vial of this stuff from Ulta to use when traveling and fell in love! First off, I prefer the scent of it to the MO. It makes my hair so shiny, silky and manageable. It's the only product I use. I love the pump dispenser too.

This line of product is basically a cheaper version on Moraccan Oil, I tried this thinking surley it must be simliar and if its cheaper then thats great. I was wrong.
This maybe ok if your hair is in good condition and dosent need much moisture but for hair that is weak and damaged I would not recomend.
This is around £15 where the Moraccan Oil is around £27. However its really worth paying more for the Moraccan Oil. The Macadamia doesnt show great results, its not completly rubbish but if you want to see and feel results I would not recomend
i would not waste my money buying this again.

I LOVE this serum! I use this on my ends and a leave-in on the rest of my hair. Seriously, this has made my hair so healthy and strong! I've been able to grow my hair out longer than I have been in the past. It smells really really nice and isn't too heavy.

Great product, works well, smells nice. Its hard for me to say whether this is better or moroccan oil. Both are great. My hair absorbs the oil but does not get greasy. Definitely smooths the hair and prevents frizzies.

This product is amazing on my hair. The ends of my hair always looked dry, but since I started using this, they look much healthier. I absolutely love the smell!!! I got this because I had gotten the one in the spray bottle which I love as well. This I use after I take a shower. I put a pump or so in my fingertips, rub them together a bit, and run it through the ends of my hair and then through the rest. My hair feels so smooth and healthy. I would definitely buy this again if I specifically set aside money to buy it. Where I bought it, it was close to $40, yikes!

I don't like this brand at all. The first couple of weeks of using it, I really loved it. The scent is really, really nice, but the affects does not last. I found that it was drying out my hair, so I went back to using pure, all natural macadamia nut oil instead. There is a huge difference!
I won't be repurchasing and I'm sorry that I have a bad review, but I have to be honest that over time, this dried out my hair. I do like the packaging, but I also noticed that the this brand has a thicker texture then the pure, all natural macadamia. I wonder what else is added to make the texture so thick like gel.

At first I thought this was wonderful--my thick dry blasian hair felt soft, nourished, HEALTHY. Then after reading reviews I looked at the ingredients list and sure enough this stuff is chock full of 'cones, which is TERRIBLE for your hair and WILL dry it out. The next few days my scalp mutinied and was drier than ever and unbearably itchy. As I had changed nothing else in my hair care routine I knew this was the culprit. My advice is to go to an organic store and find some actual macadamia oil rather than this over hyped barely natural junk.

All I can say is Wow!!! I had gone to Ulta to get my points reward thingy and I was torn between this and the Neutrogena under eye cover. I got the Neutrogena product but ended up returning it because it was too dark. I grabbed this oil and they just swapped it for the under eye cover. The girl that worked at Ulta said "This stuff is awesome!!" and I was very excited to try it.
I have so many oils and products for my hair which is longer and wavy with frizz. Moroccan oil, Almond oi, Coconut oil, Redken Smooth down, Chi Silk Infusion, Fekkai glossing system, Fekkai smoothing and ironless straight guard, Ever Straight Brazilian therapy.......you get the picture. All of them work on some level.........some good and some not so much. I liked the feel of the Macadamia oil right away because it was thick not too thin and runny.
It smells nice...........the Ulta girl said it reminded her of Cinnabon but I am not sure about that. It smells nice though. Immediately, I noticed when I put it on in the car my hair was more shiny and more smooth. The next day after washing my hair I put it through my wet hair and then dried it. It is so smooth and shiny! Just awesome! I mean, my hair isn't going to be made stick straight by anything unless I flat iron it. But, this definitely calms my hair down quite a bit and if I just want to dry it with a brush and hair dryer I know that it will look nice too.
If your hair needs a bit of calm I would definitely say "try it!" I also just got right before I got this ......the Phyto de frizzing balm but I have yet to try them together. All I know is this will be a staple for sure for me from now on!

i preferr macadamia oil over moroccanoil, i LOVE the moroccanoil smell way more but the macadamia oil is more bang for your buck instead of just macadamia nut oil you get vitiamnE macadamia nut oil and aragn oil all in one i feel this combo makes my hair light and flowyy with lots of volume still, not weighed down. after a couples days the moroccanoil i noticed was weighing my ends down ... it was very odd but macadamia winns for me i love it ((:

My hair is: fine, straight, thin, and shoulder length.
I used Moroccan oil in the past, and I found that it weighted down my hair slightly. And while I liked the smell when I sniffed the bottle, it seemed to linger in my hair to the point where I would get sick of the smell. Macadamia natural oil is amazing! My hair is light and fluffy from this and never flat. I also like the smell a bit better. The only way to describe it is that it smells like a nutty kiwi. The smell doesn't linger in my hair for more than a few hours. I only wash my hair twice a week and I have thin hair, so the small sampler that I bought lasted me two months! I can see a full sized bottle lasting me over a year. For people who live in Canada, definitely check out Winners. I went to several different Winners to find them, and I was able to pick up the natural oil for $16.99 (as opposed to $36.95 at Trade Secrets), so it was worth the trouble to track down.
UPDATE: This stuff definitely leaves a buildup in my hair overtime. I do like to add it to my twice monthly deep conditioning treatments, but I probably won't purchase this one again. I like the Moroccan Oil Light version better.
