My new favorite foundation! I got this a month ago and i've been using this every single day. The coverage I would say is medium, but also buildable up to in between medium and full. (more towards medium though) This really does last all day, and i'm not as shiny as i used to be, plus i don't have to set with a powder. At the same time, this doesn't accentuate my dry spots that much (it does to a certain extent, but come on, it's foundation.) I love that there is a pump, *plus* a lock, which is really great for traveling so the foundation doesn't pump out into my makeup bag. I have this in NC30. My one complaint is that the shades are a bit orange. Nothing too extreme, because it does look normal when blended properly, but there is an orange undertone to it. I think i might pick up NC25 and mix it with my NC30. Overall, I really recommend this foundationm especially if your foundation wears off quicker than you'd like.

I love Pro Longwear. I recently switched from powder (Studio Fix) to liquid, and Pro Longwear was the best choice. I originally tried Studio Sculpt and found it way too cakey and full coverage. Pro Longwear is medium, and is super buildable. I 100% recommend applying this only with the MAC Duo Fibre flat-top brush.. stipple first then buff in small circles and it seriously looks just like second skin, so natural ! I first put on a little bit of lotion, then a pump of Prep+Prime Primer (staple), and then after the foundation I top it off with a light dusting of my leftover StudioFix powder, but will end up purchasing the Prep+Prime Setting powder when that is done. Love this and get so many compliments on my skin/makeup... and im a total liquid-applying noob! The bottle is also super clean, the nozzle locks/unlocks by sliding over, so no messy caps.

I was a Lancome Teint Idole Ultra girl for 2 years...but with my combination skin and oily T-zone, it just wasn't cutting it for me anymore.
I'd always heard Mac products are quite heavy and pore clogging, but I was desperate for perfect looking skin, so I took the plunge and switched to Pro Longwear. NC35 is the perfect shade match for me, and with a little Blot Powder in Medium/Dark in the morning, I find I don't have to touch up AT ALL. This is miraculous!
Despite initially suffering a small breakout while my skin adjusted to the foundation, it was all worth it...no transfer, perfectly matte, lasts a good 12 hours. I have found my HG foundation and i'll never look back.Thank you Mac!

I have tried almost every brand at Sephora as well as other MAC products and this is by far my favorite.
Pros:
- buildable medium to full coverage and you can adjust how much coverage you want
- controls oil (I don't usually have to blot mid day)
- long-lasting (even in the water, working out, etc.)
- lots of color options (as usual with MAC products)
- compared to a lot of foundations, this one is fairly inexpensive
Cons:
- can be difficult to apply evenly
- oxidizes probably a shade or two darker and more orange so I found it difficult to find an appropriate shade (I had purchased an NW25, then an NW20 and finally I have ended up with NC20! Each time I bought this product I had an associate try it on me, and suggest the shade, but because it changes color so much, you can't really see if the color will work for you until a few hours later!)
- a lot of wasted product because of the packaging - hard to get out of the bottom of the bottle
I used this foundation for my wedding, honeymoon, and everyday. It lasts and controls my oily skin so that is all I can ask for! If you want a full coverage foundation I would definitely give this a try.

I tried this foundation because of its lasting power, but I wasn't completely satisfied with it. I do love how long it stays on all day, but it made my face look a tiny bit cakey and appeared like I had a ton of makeup on (maybe this is because it really accentuated my already noticeable pores). I am more of a fan of the soft, dewy look and this foundation finishes a little too dry for my taste. It didn't break me out and covers small blemishes, discoloration, and a dark undereye well. It looks great with a translucent finishing powder or bronzer if you're going for the matte finish. I like makeups to look natural and glowing and this foundation didn't exactly do that for me. However, it is a good product and works very well if you're going for the matte look.

I've re-purchased this from my BFF as she has lighter shade and she got NC25 (her shade is probably NC20), and NC25 suits me perfectly.
This foundation is perfect! It matches my skin tone perfectly and looks super natural as if like I've never apply any foundation at all. It does not cover all pores though, but I've worn it under open air surface for at least 4 hours the first time I applied this on, and at the end of the day it was still there! No break outs as well, I'm definitely buying this again.

It's a good foundation, not my fav but it does what it says. It last's... I don't know about 15 hours since I don't leave my makeup that long but after a morning of running around with the kids, cooking over a hot stove for meals, and an 8 hour work day, my makeup looked almost the same as it did when I applied it. I get an oily t zone and this controls it. It's a tad yellow compared to all my other nc35 mac foundations but I think the slight yellower tone works well with medium/tan skin to give it a nice glow.

I have been using this product about 2 months now, and I'm in love with it! I have combination skin, that is extremely acne prone. I've noticed no break outs with this foundation, and the coverage is amazing. I use a damp sponge, as it tends to dry very quickly, but it's not too hard to work with. I pair this in NW25 with MAC's prep + prime translucent powder and I get a fantastic, natural looking, matte finish that lasts all day (some blotting required throughout the day though).I highly recommend this product if you're looking for a natural looking foundation to cover acne and scars. Will definitely be re purchasing!
P.S. some people like to compare this to Revlon Colorstay...I personally find this better, as colorstay tended to wash me out terribly in pictures and had too much of a yellow undertone and tended to be too heavy feeling on my skin.

I have been using this for a while after looking for a makeup that 1) looks good in person 2) in natural sunlight and 3) on camera flash. I tried a lot of makeups including MAC liquid foundations (studio tech, studio sculpt) and all of them looked so nasty in pictures.
I now use this the Pro longwear, but mix a little bit of Revlon Colour Stay in it to balance out the colourc (MAC nw40 with Revlon 330 Natural Tan).
I find NW 40 on its own looks sort of orange on its own, and the revlon takes it away a bit.
I like this makeup. It shows up well in pictures, if you rub it in and apply it correctly, it looks good in person and provides a true match. You do not need a lot to cover your face.
Work quicly - it dries up rather fast before you can work it all over your face if you let it sit there. It does not feel heavy, and I never, ever re-apply and I am super picky. I do however, reapply powder (bare minerals) or concealer (cover fx), but never foundation.
I am a foundation junkie/perfectionist, and I have been using this for nearly two years.
Mac prolong wear + Revlon Colourstay + Bare minerals on top = my holy grain regime.
CONS? EXPENSIVE! But it all lasts so long.

So I have sort of a love hate relationship with this product. Now first off I do have oily/combination skin, I am EXTREMELY pale with coolish undertones (but really I can use NC or NW..honestly that dont look much different on my face).
Pros:
It is long lasting.
Creamy
Doesn't feel super heavy on the skin
Doesn't break me out
Pump makes it easy to get the product out
Cons:
Dries to fast when I try to apply it with a brush which makes it look a lil streaky. I have tried skunk brushes, dense flat top brushes, kabuki etc...unless i work in VERY small areas at a time it just looks bad.
That being said, when I use a damp beauty blender it does apply better.
The color is darker than most of the other foundations. I got NC15 and it matches me IF i get a tan in the summer but is WAY too dark in the winter.
Appears dry/flaky when I set it with a powder where my skin is normal but still gets shiny around my nose.
Also this product is NOT forgiving to large pores.
I would buy this again for special events because it photographs pretty well and if I combine it with a moisturizer or BB cream to sheer it out a bit then it applies really nice. However, it is NOT the easiest foundation to work with so beginners beware.

This didn't work at all for me. It makes my face look super dry, but even worse is even though I have NC15 it was way too dark and orange for me. The finish result is an orange, flaky face that isn't very pretty at all. Now I'm left with a whole bottle of this, but I have no choice but to buy another foundation because this is not how I want my face to look.
(Although the packaging is very smart and the coverage is pretty good too)

i'm on my 3rd bottle of this. for me, it is the creme de la creme of long wearing foundations. i've tried colorstay, doublewear, and long wear even finish by BB. in terms of staying power this blows away the competition. it is my HG summer makeup as i sweat like a piglet in the summer and my skin is uber-oily. coverage is light to medium and buildable. i apply any way: fingers, brush, beauty blender. then i pat into my face like i do for all foundations now to warm into the skin.
my qualm is: color. when i was super pale i was like an NW 20. summer NW 30. my skin got kinda darker over the years and i'd say now i'm an NW 25-30; will be darker in summer. HOWEVER... since trying and LOVING the look of bobbi's even finish foundation (for winter), and her whole "yellow" foundation theory, i'm thinking of crossing into NC territory although i have cool-toned, pink skin. i swatched my NW and my BB and boy the nw is PINK and the bb is YELLOW!!! but really the yellow tones are cancelling out my redness, match my yellowish concealer that cancels out my dark circles, and matches my face and neck. i guess it's time for a trip to the counter... to try some NC 25-30!

I have tan skin bought this product in NC42. I think its a pretty long wearing product and thin consistency unlike other long wearing foundations. I find that this product stays on longer than Revlon Colorstay and comparable to Estée Lauder Doublewear but alot thinner. However, I probably will not buy this product again because it doesnt cover as great as I would like, still leaves my complexion uneven.

For reference: NC18 in MAC (No tan) & N3 in L'Oreal True Match (Tan)
I haven't owned this product for very long. I also haven't used it much due to it being summer over here in Australia & I got matched when I didn't have a bit of a tan. I will update as I use it more often, but for now, this is what I think of it so far.
I was matched to the shade NC18 after being originally matched to a NW25 months before. All I can say is, how can you stuff that up? I mean it looked okay when she put it on, but clearly not the same way I would put foundation on (Sigma Flat Top). Since I live about an hour & a half away from my nearest counter, I never had time to make the trip to exchange it, so I gave it to my sister for when she fake tans. Once I did go back & got matched correctly, I was very hesitant about trying MAC foundations again as I would have a slight rash appear after a few hours with Studio Fix Fluid. But after she put it on, I wandered around for a bit & I went right back & bought it. No reaction, perfect color match under the store lights & out & beautiful coverage. Couldn't be more happier!
Skintone of face: Neutral/Cool undertones (More neutral)
Skintone of body: Neutral/Yellow undertones
When I get more colour during the summer, the yellow tones in my skin come out more. It's really frustrating trying to find a colour match for my face without help!

I put Olay Active Hydrating moisturizer on before, then this. It didn't sink into creases so I can apply it under the eyes and on eyelids okay, is liquidy and thus easy to apply but dries fast, doesn't rub off onto clothes or tissue when I blow my nose, dries rather matte not shiny. It does look a tad orangey. Coverage is medium. I used the prolongwear concealer over top. It looks pretty good on first application 'cept for the slight oxidation. I'll see how it holds up.

This foundation is a godsend for those who need a long lasting foundation that stays put, looking as good at the end of the day as application. Just a light layer keeps my skin looking flawless all day long. This foundation is perfect for my oily skin which requires a strong foundation to ensure my face stays matte and oil free all day, I had high hopes when buying this product and I havent been disapointed. The plus side of this foundation is the pump which unlike studio fix fluid by MAC comes as standard. Advice for those considering this foundation do not buy if you do not want to use your hands, I have found that no matter how hard I try a brush is useless for working this thick foundation into your skin, only using hands works.

I absolutely adore this foundation! I have combination acne prone skin. My T-zone is VERY OILY, and I've tried many fondations, drugstore and highend such as Revlon Colorstay, Vichy Normablend, Mac Mineral foundation, maybelline superstay, Nuskin's tinted moisturizer, lancome teint idole, dior capture totale..................... and the list goes on... But this foundation is the foundation that stays on my face for the WHOLE day. from 6AM, during school, afterschool and back at home at about 8PM. The only place it came off was my nose area. But overall, everything had stayed on. I love the pump packaging, and it is quite pricey at $36.50CAD. The coverage is very nice aswell. It covers up my minor hyperpigmentation and pimples, but the concealer is definately need for full coverage. Another great thing is that it is water proof. I wore to wonderland on a day with heavy rainfall and it stayed very nicely. It is easy to apply. Although this is pricey, I would definately repurchase! I would recommend this to whoever has combination -oily skin and has minor flaws to cover.

The girl in the counter told me that this would work pretty well with my dry skin. To a certain extent, it does if I moisturize my face with a heavy duty moisturizer. But overall, I don't like it because it accentuates my dry skin when applied, by emphasizing my dry patches. I think this is more for normal to oily skins. Not dry.
