I bought this after reading a recommendation in InStyle magazine. But...Yuck. A clumpy, spidery, disgusting lash mess. I got rid of it within a week. One of the worst mascaras I have ever tried. InStyle, why would you steer me wrong?

This was...just ok. I have fairly short, stick straight, downward drooping lashes. Other mascaras I have tested and comparing this to:

Covergirl Lashblast Waterproof (so far the best of the best, but sooo drying and hard to take off)
Maybelline Lash Stiletto
Maybelline XXL Extreme Curves
L'oreal Voluminous Carbon black
Rimmel Glam Eyes
Smashbox Lash DNA
NYX Doll Eyes

Everything except CG Lashblast I would repurchase. I have yet to find another mascara that impresses me enough for a second tube. This will unfortunately join the list of non-repruchased items.

1) For those of you with lashes that fight tooth and nail to droop, like mine, this will not keep them up. I had to curl them twice after application to get them to stay up.
2) *shrugs* It's a "meh" on length and volume. I felt like it was just putting black pigment to my lashes if anything else and was only serving to make my lashes a little darker
3) At least it doesn't clump too badly and dries quickly, making the "curling after" process easier and less messy
4) No flakes or racoon eyes.
5) Doesn't make your lashes feel crunchy, like CG LB does. It's easy to take off.

For the $5-7 price tag, it's not a terrible mascara, but it's not great either. Good for just everyday when you don't want to look too made up.

I've tried many mascaras and this is the only one that actually does what it claims to do. My eyelashes are naturally curly, but this adds an even bolder curve that nearly reaches my eyebrows! They make them longer, thicker and blacker. And unlike past mascaras, it didn't stop working after a few weeks. This is the only mascara I use now.

Does nothing but add color to my eyelashes. I curled before I applied, and I have naturally curved up eyelashes so I noticed nothing but I had some more pigment added to my eyelashes. tried to return product but receipt was smudged : (

This is my favorite mascara I've used so far. My other two faves are Lash Blast, and The Falsies. After I figured out how to use the brush, I learned how to achieve my desired look. The brush is really good, and doesn't hold too much product (so minimal caking) and it holds a curl very well. I curl with my heated eyelash curler and the mascara holds the curl all day.

I really liked this product. The formula worked great for me, it smells a bit though, but not that bad :) My lashes are naturally medium lenght and does not curl that much at all, but the mascara curls my lashes as i want them to curl, it gives volume, does not clump which is lovely, and gives a bit lenght :) but i think that you have to know how to 'use' a curved mascara wand before you can apply mascara with a curved wand properly. I found out how to use it after i bought this mascara, and used it a couple of times.

I bought this mascara as it was on sale at trial price (£4.99) and I'm so impressed! The formula is very wet, which can be irritating when applying in a hurry. However my lashes get a rich black coating (I have blonde lashes) and I absolutley love the curved brush that allowed me to reach all my lashes with ease. I would say I got great length and volume and this provided thickness as well though, without clumping! I did however have to take my time to avoid the clumping due to the wet formula, and as well it has a tendancy to like to stick to my lids! I gues this can be avoided by pumping this brush in and out until it gets a bit drier if you would prefer it. I however adore this just the way it is, I'm so pleased to have found a fab, cheap mascara that makes my lashes look fantastic!

When I buy a mascara I'm lookin for mostly volume because my lashes are already curly and pretty long. This mascara gave me just what I was looking for. It did a great job of separating my lashes while making them a little thicker. The brush is pretty thick and curved perfectly. Only complaint I have is that when it dries, even though it doesn't flake, it makes my lashes really hard and is kind of a pain to remove but the look is worth it :)

Being a mascara addict and loving ultra black, full, lots of volume and separation this mascara actually is one of the best to create this look. Even though the mascara has a curved brush, it's not meant to create a curl but more of a lift to the lashes. I have long lashes but they're not thick so whenever I can find a mascara that gives me super thick, lush, black lashes I'm happy. BTW, I buy and try new mascaras every 2 months, right now I have eyes to kill, volumous, rimmel in different varieties and have purchased this 2x which is a lot for me. The one in the pink tube is also just as good but this one just happened to be on sale this month. Clumping is not a big deal for me because that's what my eyelash comb is for. I must say I get the most compliments on my lashes when I wear rimmel mascaras even more so than my eyes to kill!! although I do love it as well.

I do not like this product at ALL.
It's a horrible waste of 8 dollars, I have the Boxum Lash from Bare Essentials, and Smoky Lash from Make Up Forever so I really didnt expect that much from this mascara but this was just irritating. It did not curl at all! In fact, my eyelashes started to droop downwards. There were way too many clumps and it was so wet. Ill never buy this product agian and probably am going to stray away from Rimmel London.

Well it wasn't the best mascara I've ever had but it wasn't the worst either. I have medium sized lashes that have no curl to them what so ever so wen I try out a mascara I hope it will hold a curl, and this mascara does just that with a couple of coats! It lengthens but doesn't make them look thick which is quite a pet peeve of mine because my lashes are quite thin. But over all good product but wouldn't buy again.

I adore this mascara! I use lots of different kinds, and picked this up on a whim at Target. I have several other Rimmel products and love them - they're by far my favorite drugstore brand. I've actually never used this type of spoon brush before, and was interested to see what it'd do. It's amazing! I naturally have super long, full lashes, but this just made them even more intense. They look like falsh lashes! I always by the blackest black of any mascara, and I love it. I can use several coats and it never looks clumpy, just thick and luscious. For the price it's a steal! I will definitely repurchase.

PROS: Stays on a long time before flaking/smudging, longer than any volumizing mascara I've ever used. Very inexpensive. Great volume. Washes off pretty easily when removing.

CONS: This can clump when applying, easier than the pink tube, but you can use a paper towel or whatever to roll the brush along first and then comb afterward. Sometimes this can be too "wet" when you first get it. That is not an issue for me. But if it is for you, you can open this, close it back up, and wait about a week before using so it won't be so wet. Also, I don't think this helps curl at all. I don't like the shape of the brush (curved and a little big). It just makes it hard to use

APPLICATION TIPS: Shiseido's primer (even the new one) helps this stay on MUCH longer without flaking. I am a recent convert to using Shiseido's popular curler too. See "cons" above too for more tips.

ALTERNATES: For HE and even more lasting on the lashes, I like MUFE Smoky Lash. There is the version of this in the pink bottle too that is less clumpy with a better brush. I like it much better than this green bottle. I also like Neutrogena's Healthy Volume. But for D.S. volumizing and lengthening that really lasts, I love Jordana's volumizing mascara and Loreal's Voluminous Million Lashes.

I have to give this mascara 2 stars because it doesn't do what it claims. I didn't notice any curl at all. It went on clumpy, but it didn't flake or smudge all day, and it was a hot summer day, too. But you can't go around claiming you do something you don't. Sorry Rimmel.

I bought this mascara, because I really liked the other volumizing Rimmel mascara that comes in the pink tube. But this isn't as good. The brush clumps up with mascara, and even after wiping it off, it will still leave you with spider lashes. The upside is that, it actually did volumize my lashes. But at the end of the day, I think I'd much rather return to the pink tube.

I have very thin and short eyelashes and like to try new products to make the best of my lashes. I picked this mascara instead of my normal L'Oreal Voluminous mascara out of curiosity. All I can say about this product is that it creates spidery lashes when you put too much on and it does nothing at all if you put one or two coats on. It also does not make my lashes curl at all. I definitely will not be buying this again and most likely wont even finish the tube.

I picked this up on a whim and won't be repurchasing. The colour is a nice bold black and this does add some length and curl with great volume. What I really don't appreciate about this mascara is it's very goopy and way to much product gets deposited on the brush. I found I had to spend extra time removing excessive product from the brush, plus I had to work longer applying it then brushing a clean mascara wand through my lashes to remove the clumps. It's not really a mascara that I personally found I could apply quickly and get out the door. I also experienced some flaking and my lashes began to droop as my day progressed.
